The RWS 3400 Air Rifle combines precision German engineering, fine Italian woodworking, and American production capabilities into one unique breakbarrel air rifle. Available in either a spring or gas piston powerplant, this airgun propels pellets downrange at speeds up to 1000 ft./sec. in .177 or 800 ft./sec. in .22, giving plenty of power and accuracy for backyard plinking or small game hunting.

The craftsmanship of the Minelli Monte Carlo beechwood stock with ventilated rubber recoil pad makes this rifle look and feel like one that costs significantly more. The stock is custom built in Italy to house the German-crafted action, and then expertly assembled in the United States.

The pistol grip features checkering for increased holding ability that marries with the beautiful styling, making this a gun that gets consistent and accurate shots. The rifle has a relatively light cocking effort of 25 lbs. and a light breaking 2-stage trigger that adjusts for travel, ensuring ease of use.

For optics options, the rifle has a fixed hooded front fiber optic sight and an adjustable open rear sight, plus an 11mm dovetail rail for adding a scope. In addition, this rifle is backed by the famous RWS limited lifetime warranty.

If you've always wanted the renowned quality and precision of a German air rifle without breaking the bank, get the limited production RWS 3400 Air Rifle now before it goes out of stock.

Things I liked:

Accuracy was good but inconsistent.

Things I would have changed:

Get rid of the plastic sights and trigger guard. The screws that hold the action are inaccessible without removing it from the stock which will void the warranty.

What others should know:

Lots of vibration. All the screws in the gun will loosen unless you use locktight.

Things I liked:

Accurate , well made, nice stock

Things I would have changed:

I would change the rear sights to Doppler sights

What others should know:

it would behoove you to use some lock tight on the rear sight screws as mine were loose . im not extremely picky about triggers. Once you get used to it, its all good. This rifle seems to like H&N hornets and field trophy green pellets. I hope your rifle turns out like mine... I love it!

Things I liked:

Cocking effort, power, accuracy, nice stock.

Things I would have changed:

Sights are low quality, rear sight was loose out of the box, heavy trigger pull, loose fitting power plant components causing significant vibration-not a difficult problem to solve in the design and assembly stage.

What others should know:

Steel spring .177 caliber version. The following is opinion. Quality control is sketchy. Gun was lubricated internally during assembly. Sights are low quality, but functional. After approximately 300 rounds, groups are under 1 inch at 50 feet with open sights, which tells me that the rifle is quite capable and should be scoped-if it shoots this well with my aging eyes, a scope will bring those groups down considerably. Chronograph results with JSB Exact 8.44 grain pellets-917.1 fps, 15.76 ft.lbs. This product, again, in my opinion, was designed and built, first and foremost to make money, not serve the owner well for the money spent. I would not make the purchase again knowing what I know now. Reading the reviews by other owners, I am concerned that this product may prove to be unsafe the more it is used.

  • VICTOR from USA asked:

Based on the pics, and the trigger group area and receiver safety, this looks like a Wather Terrus as its base. Would that be the case?

  • Richard from USA asked:

Has anyone chronagraphed these rifles and just how many of them are being made for sale? Limited production doesn't tell me anything as to whether this will be collectable in the future

    • Richard from USA answered:

for those who want to know. i called umarex and spoke to them about my rusty rifle. i was told to contact pyramyd air about that. the actual production of all four models was around 250 a piece. so these are limited and if you want one you better get before it's gone because the will not be making any more.

  • Hollis from USA asked:

How is the front sight attached? Is it easily removed for scope use and then reinstalled later?

    • Richard from USA answered:

It slips on and is retained by a set screw.
