This thing is really slick! I've always wanted a stock for my 1858 Remington Pietta cap and ball revolver replica but they are now too expensive and I have never found one for the Pietta anyway so this will have to do on my Umarex S&W 586 revolver. Though made of both plastic and metal (the adjusters), this stock is a quality German-made item.
Things I Would Have ChangedWith the rear sight closer to one's eye, even the small notch rear sight insert is very wide looking. I would change the cheek pad around 180 degrees so the angular overhang points rearward to permit a more aft cheek weld and a little more "eye relief." Not only would I change this, I DID change it! The cheek rest is easily removed and rotated. I'm using the stock adjusted to full length but I'd probably prefer a little longer stock too. Most handgun stocks are a trade off between compactness and ergonomics.
What Others Should KnowA shooter's support hand can support the revolver forward of the cylinder with and air revolver, but don't try it with a powder burner, because the leaking hot gases from the cylinder gap will burn you!
