Weathered Legends MP40 BB Submachine Gun Kit

It's appearance and weight.

A working example would have been appreciated. The item sent to me had a faulty magazine that leaked and the gun would not fire in any mode with another non-faulty magazine.

It looks like the green magazine o-ring gets pretty torn up and there are no replacements. One of my magazines arrived with a damaged o-ring.

The gun itself was also faulty and would not fire in any mode. I may have been sent a previous return. That's not the kind of service I expect. A replacement order had to be cancelled as the gun became unavailable in a reasonable time frame.

Looks like an MP40. Feels like an MP40. Shoots ... like a pretty good air rifle, but I won't win any competitions with this thing. But, I didn't buy this for its amazing performance. I bought it for its amazing appearance, and it delivers in Aces. The blow-back bolt gives a nice vibration that lends a sort of machine-gun feel, and it almost sounds like a powder pistol being fired some ways away. (t is pretty quiet.) Throws a hail of BB's into a 4 inch circle at 10 meters. Shooting it is just plain fun. The sights are a little hard to use, and I think they are kind of accurate, but who cares? This thing is fun! Most powerful co2 BB pistol I own.

Nothing ... well, even bigger magazine capacity! The magazine is a little difficult to load, mostly because of how difficult it is to hold back the follower while dumping BB's into the magazine. There just isn't room between my finger, while holding the follower, and the fill opening. .I use a big rubber band and a hex key to hold the spring back. That sort of works, some of the time, but there is a better solution somewhere!

I find it wiser to replace the CO2 after 3 mag-fulls of BB's. Somewhere during the fourth load the gun will fail to expel the BB and you will quickly fill the barrel with BB's, some stuck and others rolling out the end of the barrel. Embarrassing. So I am getting about 160 good shots per 2 CO2 canisters. I've learned not to push that.

This gun is awesome. I wish I could attach the short video putting 50 shots through the bottom of a coffee can from 30 feet. Not the tightest cluster but not really applicable in this case. Nice display of firepower.

The strap would be more useful to me if it was a bit longer.

Nice dab of pellgun oil On each eliminates all hissing upon cartridge installations and the gun fires so much tighter. It really is an effective replica. I could keep running BBS and CO2 through it but thats the problem. I could keep running BBS and CO2 through this gun. Highly recommend.

Very few BB guns can deliver accuracy like the Legends MP40. Of course the accuracy isn't necessarily what people buy it for. This thing really cranks the fun factor. My wife and I have burned through 40 CO2 cartridges and almost a 1500 count bottle of Hornady Black Diamond BBs.in about a month's worth of playing with the MP40. We get 3 full magazines out of out of one pair of CO2 cartridges.

It is difficult to make sure both CO2 cartridges get pierced. With both of our magazines if you stop tightening the plug when you hear the hiss, only one cartridge is pierced. We have to give it another turn to guarantee the second cartridge is pierced. Loading the BBs would be easier if the follower could be secured in the down position. The safety is difficult to manipulate, and the original didn't have one. With that being said, I understand why they made this replica select fire, and put a safety on it. Liability.

Neither magazine we have reliably feeds the Umarex steel BBs. We have not tried any BBs except the Umarex steel and Hornady Black Diamond. The Black Diamonds shoot fast and accurate out of our MP40. You can dump a magazine in a little over a second. You will want to stock up on CO2, and probably some magazines as well. The magazines are expensive, but they are pretty much the guts of the gun.

Shipped really quick, good weight and solid feel. Overall looks really nice.

It would be great if these full auto guns had an optional nipple connection to run off air compressor. Should have a bleed valve for Co2 , so you don't have to keep single firing to use remainder of co2 .

Make sure to screw co2 magazine plug down good or both cartridges won't puncture, causing misfire. Also make sure to use all of co2 before realeasing cartridges or the pressure will damage O ring if unscrewed too early.

The weathered metal MP40 is beautifully detailed, nicely weighted, and very fun to shoot (from the hip, or shouldered with the slick folding stock). The magazine is a little challenging to load (zig-zag pattern), but smoothly cycled through several magazines of Air Venturi Dust Devil Frangible BBs and Umarex silver/steel BBs. The leather sling is a nice touch.

Include a speed loader (or some type of tool/device) to help load BBs. CO2 usage: my first two CO2 cartridges only lasted for four magazines (mostly shot on full-auto).

The MP40 kit is a great value for the money (especially the second magazine).
