What Others Should Know

The advertised power in .22cal is 850fps with lead pellets but the box it comes in says 820fps.I got 810fps on the chrony using 11.9gr rws hobby.But got 780fps when using rws superdomes 14.5gr,and even better when using Beeman FTS 14.66gr got 790fps. so if you do the math it's really close to that 850fps that's claimed. As for accuracy,that depends on you, your rifle and ammo!!!

Very fun to shoot,so short,so light,so smooth. Very easy to cock. I immediately put peep sights on it. Very accurate. Im pleased w/ trigger at 150$ Went threw a tin of pellets in no time. Can swing this up to your shoulder w/ one hand w/ the pistol grip. Very quick target aquisition. Can throw my own can in the air & shoot it well before it hits the ground. My 80 yr Father enjoyed shooting it. I wanted a rifle to play w/ while i use my Hat 150 for hunting. Solid. Well made. Very pellet friendly.

Just change the advertisement. Its simply not a magnum hunter,least not compared to a Hatsan.

What Others Should Know

The only reason i bought this rifle is because it was advertised as a 43" 6.8lb magnum. The reason im keeping it is because,it is a sweet piece, alota fun to shoot. PA advertises 850fps, the box it comes in say 800 on one side, 820 at 20fpe on the other. I understand that Webley is reffering to diff countries FPE limits. Ive no access to a chrono at this time. I will say its much more powerful than a Ruger Ukon in .22 which is also advertised at 850 fps & merely does 700. Webley is much closer to thier advertisement,wish every one would follow Hatsans ex on this. Ive seen where the Patriot model advertised at 880 does 960 in chrono test. Was hoping that this powerplant was between the VMX model & the Patriot model. I think its the same as VMX model. When i think magnum,i think least 24fpe. My Hat 150 makes 31fpe. the Hat 125 makes 29fpe.

Got a new one for the sole purpose of having it tuned while new. Simple dissasembly, clean, debur, proper lube gave a consistent 50fps increase, nearly 3fpe increase, super smooth. 23.8fpe at 805 fps w/ 16.6g Skenco Ultra shock. My original one still makes 20fpe at 758fps w/ JSB 15.8g after roughly 3000 cycles.

I agree w/ You Mike, it would be sweeter w/ the Q trigger. I like this thing so much i got a another one. Its says clearly on the Barrel, made in Turkey. Thinking of getting the 2nd one tuned while the spring is fresh. Near by guy can do it cheap, basicly dissasemble clean deburr. Nothing fancy.

All Webley rifles are made by Hatsan and this one is the Striker or Edge spring piston which Hatsan claims 800 fps in .22 and this is just the same with a tactical stock while the VMX is just the plain Striker minus the grip inserts. In truth the Webley fps claims tend to be true with the lightest lead pellets available in a given caliber while Hatsan is more reserved in the claimed fps. I have a 125 sniper vortex and it has made me a fan of the Hatsans and kind of curious about getting one of the Webley variants and while the Spector is at the top of my list i find the Blackhawk the most curious as it seems to be a tuned down 95 as it has the quattro trigger.

42" long. Barrel 16 3/4". Pull 13 7/8". Weighs 6.5lbs. Cock w/ 1 hand w/ 3 fingers & a cigg, funny but true. No bump to speak of to break open. Decievingly powerful. Stronger even now w/ 700 cycles. Loves AirArms & JsB 18g, stacks them at 17yrds indoors. If i can see it i can put lead on it. Got up w/ chrono buddy tested AirArms 18g. 20.8 FPE at 721.3 FPS. I dont use pellets under 15g, Im sure 14g would sizzle. It grunts a little w/ 21g & the energy dropped a lb. , but is accurate w/them. Looking forward to trying some JSB 15.8g, im thinking theyll be the hot ticket. As a comparison my Ukon's best was 16.7fpe. Deff accurate & strong enuff to hunt w/. So its even shorter & lighter than advertised. Front fiber Optic bead is small. Try the Williams Peep sites that PA offers youll lovem. Really happy w/it.
