.17 wsm in all gr is so far ahead of 22 and hmr it’s a joke. Early trouble with bad primer issues have been dealt with. Shooters: try it Ammo mfrs: make more ammo available!!
Group 5 shots at 50 yards inside a nickel with my 17 HMR CZ 455.
Out of a nine round mag I always get at least one dud but as many as 4 out of 9.
I bought 500rds & the first 2 boxes averaged 8 out of 10 misfired. I bought the leading competitors & had 100% fired.
Great round using on foxes my marlin roped with 6x44 sends them straight to fox heaven
Accurate out of B mag. Shot a red squrriel at a little over 50 yards. Haven't missed a squrriel yet. It may be a bit too much for close squrriels. Sends them about 6ft horizontal before they start to fall from the tree.
My 22WMR Ruger American shot a a Six shot group at 100 yards at .648” with this stuff but I had 8 rounds that failed to fire out of 25. Not good. Brand new clean gun. My gun had zero fail to fires with several other manufacturer’s ammo tested. If Winchester could get their primers figured out it would be a great hunting round.
I purchased a brick (500) of Winchester plus two boxes (100) of another brand after ordering my new .17 WSM. I started my new rifle sighting in at 35 yards within 11 rounds I was cutting a single hole group. I went to 100 yards, adjusted & groups were nearly half inch .530". I took a break then return producing my best 5 shot for the day, a .412" This is factory production Winchester 20 gr. ammo on my first day out and my new .17 Super Magnum rifle. My thoughts, this is great ammo and priced very well, this rifle love's it!
Very consistent ammunition, no squibs or hangfires. Clean burning and does the job on quarry out to 140m. Groups 12mm @ 100m.

I love my .17 WSM rifle. I have spent many hours shooting with my Grandkids. My only problem is finding ammo @ retailers in my area to purchase more ammo. Any suggestions on where to find ammunition for this great little gun?
