Things I liked: Extremely simple to set up works with old cell phone see bullet speeds and operate functions with no wires
Things I liked: Easy to use. Bluetooth compatability
Things I would have changed: Nothing
What others should know: I got this, the lights, and the bluetooth module all at once. I do have another Chrony with a printer I use but connecting this to my phone is so easy. It works well. The LED lights are great.
Things I liked: I bought this because I wanted to stop having to go downrange every time I switched testing parameters. I use the chronograph mainly for verifying power factors for USPSA. It is very easy to set up and get going. It gives lots of information that can be emailed or posted to sites. It automatically populates the date and time for each shot fired based on the time/date set on your device. You can switch back and forth between shot lists to add or delete shots. It spits out high, low, average, extreme spread and standard deviation for your current shot string and updates those number on each shot.
Things I would have changed: The input for projectile weight is only in integers, no decimal places. Add a small printed instruction manual. There are some instructions in the app, but it is only very select information, probably to save space for data. The program is intuitive, but some further instructions would be helpful. It comes in a box with a plastic bag and there is no real bag offered by CED for holding a Prochrono and the Digital Link, so it needs to find a place in your range bag. I am looking for a bag that can hold my tripod, procuring, digital link and other parts, but not having much luck, except custom bags that are in the $75 and above range.
What others should know: I use this with the Digital Link app for Android phones. I only add that because people always seem to ask if it is iPhone or Android. I have not done any live fire with my firearms yet, by we took it out in the back yard with a nerf gun to try it out. It picked up all but two shots, but those were good gusts of wind that moved the chronograph a bit. This is nice for not needing to go downrange and call a cold firing line after every shot string. I gave it a 4 for value because Bluetooth technology is not new, I don't think it's worth the full $59.99 price. I had some gift cards for Pyramid Air, which brought the price down a lot, so I wanted to give it a try. It really shines where you have a bunch of different loads/pellets for testing and have a few hours to go to the range. Overall, I am pleased with its operation and performance and would recommend it for anyone who is a gadget person and likes range toys.
