Hawke Sport Optics 8-32x56 Sidewinder Rifle Scope, Glass Etched Illuminated SR Pro Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 30mm Tube
SR Pro Reticle:
The Hawke Sidewinder SR Pro scope is designed for extreme shooting, and has amazing clarity with its 18 layer, fully multi-coated glass. The 30mm scope offers high resolution viewing and a bright sharp picture in all lighting conditions. The lens configurations have been carefully selected to offer the optimum performance in low light conditions, while offering excellent range finding properties.
If you like clear, sharp, crisp images when you look through your scope, then mount this scope on your rifle. Hawke has a reputation for producing superior scopes, and their Sidewinder 30 models deliver some of the best pictures you'll ever see through an optical device. While all scopes give you a picture, the Sidewinder 30 will deliver one that will help you shoot better because you'll be able to distinguish even the smallest details when you home in on your target. Be forewarnedonce you use this scope, all your other scopes will suddenly disappoint you.
From its superior glass to the etched glass SR Pro illuminated reticle, youll be on your target right away. And because of the robust build of your Hawke scope, you can use it on any firearm or airgun even those with heavy recoil.
The Sidewinder features a side focusing system designed to Parallax from 10 yds to Infinity. The open Sniper-style turrets are calibrated to 1/4 MOA per click. The reticle illumination brightness adjustment is positioned on the side focus turret. This allows 5 Red and 5 Green settings. The settings have been carefully considered to produce low enough illumination levels for dawn and dusk shooting. If you prefer the solid black reticle, simply turn off the illumination.
The fully multi-coated lenses are waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen filled for the best possible light transmission.
This scope comes equipped with a large 4 side wheel to enhance range finding, a sunshade for bright conditions, and screw-in lens covers to protect the outer lenses.
From the superior glass to the SR Pro reticle, you'll home in on your target or quarry while others continue to fiddle with finicky, substandard scopes. Because of the robust build of your Hawke scope, you can use it on any airgun or firearmeven those that heavily recoil. Beware: Once you buy a Hawke scope, all your other scopes will fall short. It's a casualty of finally getting the best.
Hawke Sport Optics has a faithful international following of shooters who prize clear, sharp optics. You've spent a good bit of money getting the most accurate gun and ammo you can afford, and optical glass is no place to start economizing. Get the most from your gun by demanding that you get the most from your scope. Do you want the best? Buy this scope!

Things I liked: Big scope. Love the high power to sight in small targets such as rodents. I have had a number of 'front adjustment parallax' scopes, and the side adjustment on this scope is worlds better and faster. Quality seems good for a scope of this price range.
Things I would have changed: Big, heavy. When the scope is added to a wood-stock Benjamin Marauder PCP, it has the weight of a WWII military rifle. The optics are not quite as clear as I had hoped, but very serviceable.
What others should know: Great optics for an airgun or small caliber firearm such as an HMR .17. I will stick with Schmidt-Bender for the big calibers ($3,000).
Things I liked: Brightness, clarity, magnification, SR recticle. I have an earlier model on my FWB Field Target rig and love it. Just purchased a new model to place on a custom .308 Xtreme. You can clearly see the rounds go down range.
Things I would have changed: The price could be lower but you get what you pay for in this price range. Still a great value.
What others should know: This new version has addressed the two most common complaints of earlier versions - the fancy box is now gone - replaced by a very nice cardboard box. The screw-on lens caps are now some pretty heavy duty flip-up type. I actually prefer the screw-type for their simplicity. The new flip-up style caps are threaded into the lens recesses and require the use of special wrenches to remove (the wrenches are included). The sun shade also appears to be more robust on the newer model as well. This is an awesome scope. It is also a large scope - with or without the sun shade. If you have the cash, this is a great value.
Things I liked: I did not care for this scope at all ,I'll always give an honest and fair review so here goes.no1 the glass was horrible in this scope for the money I would have thought it would have been premo but it wasn't it actually was like looking thru a dusty scope. Also the lens covers were screw on instead of flip up which were noisy when taken off and since I always leave mine on until I get to where I'm hunting I found that very incovienet .On the plus side it was well made I just think it was well over priced ,I returned mine and got an endurance alot more scope
Things I would have changed: The glass, the lens covers ,and it would be an awesome scope
What others should know: Yea get a hawk endurance less money and very awesome scop

Does this scope include rings
Most every situation is different so I think it would nearly impossible to send rings and not know which rifle it's going on.And some people want top of the line rings and some people would by ok with so so rings.
It should for 500 bucks but sorry no.
been through a few scopes with an umarex octane. ya think this glass can hold up to the destructive double recoil?
I have aeon 3x12x50mm on my hatsan 125 sniper 25 caliber and so far so good. Hawks are suppose to be one of the best so it should hold up , if not send it back.
Anyone use this scope for FT ? How good is ranging out to 55 yds.?
Franklin They do okay. Past 45 yards, they are not going to be as good as the higher end scopes. Realistically, with the stock wheel, you can get good solid marks every 3-5 yards after 40 yards. At least that was the case for me. Your mileage may vary, depending on your eyes.
