Kraford and Lypt KLS-C, Black

  • Fits FX Crown PCP air rifles

This adjustable buttpad is designed to fit the Minelli stocks with which FX Crown PCPs are fitted. Featuring a completely detachable monopod that can be adjusted by the integrated quick slide and fine threads, it's a versatile accessory that makes shooting with precision comfortable and intuitive. Its monopod may also be positioned on the left- or right-hand side of the rifle for added convenience.

Additionally, the KLS-C's modular design allows for the spacer to which the monopod is connected to be removed completely if desired, so that the buttpad may be attached directly to the stock.

Things I liked: Initially I was unhappy with this product but, in the end I am happy with it. Please read the full review. I know it is long. I am really torn about this product. I like it and at the same time felt like I should return it. It is a good design that unfortunately has some issues. I'll get to that in the next section but, as far as things I like, I like the adjustability. Just a side note : I bought this during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. While it did take a long time to process, once it did ship, it got to me very quickly. I know PA was backed up with orders so, good job.

Things I would have changed: There are two main problems with this product, fit and finish. The machining tolerances on this product a very poor. My factory rubber butt pad had absolutely no wobble in it. This, on the other hand has wobble in all three parts of it, the mono pod section, the butt pad and the fine adjustment. The whole purpose of a monopod is to increase stability but, with a little wobble in each part, it adds up to be a lot of wobble. I had more stability using my shooting bags. As far as the finish is concerned, there were tooling marks and a nick exposing the bare aluminum. For a less expensive item, I'd be okay with that but, they are asking a premium price for this, it needs to have a flawless finish. I may have just gotten a unique piece that accidently passed quality control but, I'll never know. I contacted Kraford and Lypt but, haven't heard back and it's been nearly a month.

What others should know: Good news! You can correct these issues. What I did with mine was use painters/ masking tape on the two adjoining parts. Three layers in my case made a nice snug fit. It eliminated all wobble between the stock, monopod piece and butt pad. Now, for the treads for the fine adjustment. I used some plumbers tape to remove as much play as I could. With these two household items I was able to remove about 95% of the wobble and it is pretty stable now. With these mods I am very happy with this product. I am just disappointed after spending $200 I had to do anything other then attach it to my rifle. I feel like the product I received was worth about $85. If it fit right out of the box the way it does now, retail price would be okay. I would love for K&L to read this review and reach out to me. I want to know if I received a defective/ B-stock one or if they are all this way.
