2 of 2 G&G Combat Machine R16 Battle Ready AEG Combo, Tan Reviews
This is by far the nicest airsoft gun i have to date! G&G is QUALITY! I wanted to wait till i skirmished with the gun before i reviewed it, today i spent 4 hours in the woods destroying the comp with it! i was shocked at the range that i could hit targets, very predictable and consistant hop up. good grouping and accuracy. great feel and balance overall. this gum is also just great looking and solid feeling! battery lasted all day and provided awesome ROF. G&G will be the my main company from this point forward! There is a reason so many people trust G&G, and so many vids on youtube show half the fields worldwide using them... they are just quality well built guns! you will not be disappointed!
Things I Would Have Changedim planning on adding an extended 6.01 tightbore barrel for a bit more accuracy, only because im a perfectionist and want to have a tack driver. the edges of the pistol grip where it conects to the reciever are a bit sharp without gloves, could cause a bit of discomfort, but you should be wearing gloves anyway so no biggie (take a direct shot to the knuckle and youll agree!!) but given the price, you have room to upgrade! lets face it, custom guns are what we all want anyway, a 25$ barrel, and a 25$ MAGPUL grip and the gun is still under 250$!!! or leave it alone, its still a phenom gun!!
What Others Should Knowi purchased an echo 1 troy mrf-c last month. i started my skirmish today with that weapon, no lie the piston gear stripped in the first 5 min of play... the G&G was meant to be my backup weapon...in that instant it became my primary... and it will remain my primary! i will fix the echo 1 of course, but i was more than disappointed with the failure on my first full auto 5 sec burst from a gun that costs 25$ more!! the G&G performed flawlessly! just perfect in every way! i am more than pleased with it! as i mentioned i plan to customize this one, and will be getting another blowback version in the very near future. G&G is simply the best bang for the buck around! easy to work on, and respected by those in the hobby. buy it! you will love it!

This is an amazing gun. I have an Ares G36CV and a Kalashnikov tactical AEG 60 anniversary, and this rifle shoots just as good, and if not better than the other two. This gun is very, very accurate. I removed the carrying handle from the top of the gun, and put on a Swiss Arms $30 scope. With hop up properly adjusted, I was able to hit my father from 175 feet. It took a couple shots to compensate for the flight path of the pellet (which varies by distance, but after 3 or shots, I hit him in the head, which proves to show just how precise this rifle can be at medium to longer distances. Everything except for the scope was stock* I have not upgraded the internals yet, but this is a great gun already. This was my first AEG, and I don't have much experience with them; but I was hoping to put in another hop up bucking, such as a Systema. Doing research, I learned that the green hop up bucking it comes with is just as good as a systema one, so I will not be changing it.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rate of fire. That is my only complaint with this gun, I am not satisfied at all with the rate of fire. I run it on an 8.4 nihm battery, and I don't even know what the rate of fire is exactly, so do not let this discourage you from purchasing this gun.
What Others Should KnowA couple days after receiving this gun, I went to a cqb range with it. It was barely legal, as it was shooting 350-360 with a fully charged 8.4v nihm battery, .2g G&G pellets, and hop-up all the way off. However, I returned about a month later and found that the FPS was around 320-330. It is typical for AEGs to loose a little velocity, because they need to be broken in. Later on that day, the front part of the gun came off. This is the outer barrel, the front sight, orange tip, and the piece holding to handguard together (all one piece.) I did not bang it or drop it in any way, it just happened. I saw another person with a G&G rifle, who had tape on the front of his gun. Apparently, the same thing happened to him. I took my gun to the store, (conveniently located in the same building as the range,) and had them fix it. The man that fixed it said this is common among G&G rifles, and not to stress about it. There are two screws within the outer rail that came loose, dropping the outer barrel. In order to put it back together, the man had to remove the imitation gas tube. Last thing, don't run .12g bbs through this gun. You will destroy the magazine and gearbox.
