Walther LGU Varmint Air Rifle

1. Manual has a few odd phrasings whose meaning is unclear.. Illustrations are tiny. 2. 11mm dovetails are not my favorite. Rather see a Picatinny rail. 3. PA says not to use cleaning pellets but manual recommends them? Which is right? 4. Safety off position should be marked in red or neon orange. 5. Like to see an independent leg side-mount bipod.

High quality, easy to us, and accurate gun.

Heavy, but heavy in a springer is good.

This is the most accurate airgun I have ever fired. (RWS Diana springer, Marauder pistol, Benjamin 397, others). I think it's the under-lever and fixed barrel that does it, but for whatever reason, this gun is a tack-driver. It is also has the easiest and most trouble-free access to the piston and seal and spring of any spring gun I ever saw, period. The design is sheer Germanic ingenuity: remove 4 hex bolts from the stock & trigger guard, seperate action from the stock. Tap out 2 pins at the rear of the receiver while applying light force against the spring pressure (NO spring compressor needed). you now have complete access to the action spring, piston and seal, gently ease out ditto from the tube... You can do all this as fast as I can describe it.

1). This gun is HEAVY! While that makes it easy to hold steady, it's still an anvil - if I could figure a way to mount a bipod i would I own the wood stock rifle, which they don't offer any more, so this plastic stock might be much lighter. 2). Walther could have designed it to make it easier to load in the pellet, it's quite a reach inside to load in.

I added a sling to make it easier to lug this rifle around, but only the kind that requires no swivels as there is literally nowhere to put a front swivel anyway. Choose your scope with care, remember you need to use one that the manufacturer says is approved for piston guns or else it will beat your expensive scope to pieces (as will any spring piston gun for that matter) This gun is accurate enough to warrant good (i.e. expensive) optics you want something that'll hold a zero in spring-piston service, most manufacturers know what their scope can do although you might have to email them to find out.

Great air gun. Easy cocking accurate right out of box.

Straight shooter . Balances in the hands good . Not to hold sensitive. Only ran about 150 pellets threw it so far and things are looking great !

The trigger is good but the need to get did of the 1st stage lawyer screw !

Mine came loaded with grease/ Molly. If you are not mech inclined a tin of pellets will do or take it apart clean and lube it right but doing so will good your warranty.
