Thanks to the new Spin-Loc tank and collar, you don't have to remove the gun's air reservoir to fill it. Of course, if you want to, you can remove it easily and attach another one. Carrying an extra filled tank when shooting in the field is a lot easier than carrying a scuba or carbon fiber tank for refills.

Most dot sights have Weaver mounts. If you choose one of them, remember to pick up AirForce's 11mm-to-Weaver adapter listed in the accessories link.

The AirForce TalonP PCP pistol is heavier than most air pistols and cannot be comfortably held the way most pistols are held and still result in reliable, repeatable accuracy. A comfortable hold is with one hand on the pistol grip and the other holding the top of the scope. If you assume a sitting position, you can hold the grip with one hand and rest the gun's forearm on your off hand's forearm. These two positions will draw the pistol much closer to your eye, and you can mount a rifle scope on the TalonP air pistol. A pistol scope could also be mounted, but there are more choices among rifle scopes.

The AirForce TalonP air pistol is one of the most powerful air pistols made today. Delivering over 50 ft-lbs of energy in .25 caliber, the TalonP is the ultimate compact hunting weapon and is easily carried in the field.

Take small and medium quarry with this airgun at distances you'd never normally use with any other air pistol. However, power is nothing without accuracy, and the AirForce Lothar Walther barrels are known for being deadly accurate. The TalonP is equipped with the same 12" Lothar Walther barrel available for their hunting rifles, so you can expect to get the same small groups. This pistol can be fitted with other AirForce barrels in .20 or .22 caliber. However, you cannot mount a .177-caliber barrel as it will cause the reservoir to exhaust all the air.

The power wheel lets you adjust your velocity for whatever distance you shoot and for the type of critter you want to hunt.

With 43.2-grain pellets, you can expect a max velocity of 760 fps. With a 25-grain pellet, you can expect a max velocity of 850 fps.

Remember to buy a scope or dot sight. AirForce's rifle sights can be mounted on the pistol, but we strongly recommend against it since they're not suitable and won't be useful.

Things I liked:Being compact for me is the best feature and the power it has is good too.
Things I would have changed:make the gun more quiet
What others should know:it's a great product the tank seamed to leak at 1st. but now it seams ok. it's under warrantee so if it persists I will return it for a new one that is the only warning about the gun actually the actual gun itself is a fine product and Air Force guns are great guns.

Things I liked:.25 - This pistol works best as an extended carbine rifle by adding the shoulder extension and the barrel sound lock kit. In short, if you're not too hung up on quick follow-up shots, then this little thing is one of the most lethal and fun things to take to the field for small game. period.
Things I would have changed:Trigger is a bit heavy w/ no adjustment. This little thing sounds almost like a .22 w/o the mod kit. Power adjustment is somewhat worthless as chronograph showed little or no gain. Don't expect to get more than 10 to 12 full power shots per refill. Safety is just plain bad design. Added accessories are expensive but needed to make this thing as good as it can be.
What others should know:I had a choice between the new version that came out in '12 or the older pre'12 model and I wish I'd selected the older version for several reasons that I won't get into here. Mine chrono'd out at just above 900'/sec using JSB Exact King 25gn pellets at full power and 860 using Beeman Kodiak Match 31gn pellets which I would highly recommend in this airgun. Again, just be aware that your shot velocity will fade fast so make the first 5 or 6 shots count while you still have 150 bar or more air available. A UTG 3-9x32 scope w/ high mounts works terrific on this gun.

Things I liked:This gun is a real thumper. I like the size and the power on the Talon P. This the second one I have owned and would recommend it to anyone wanting a compact and very accurate gun that is powerful
Things I would have changed:A multi shot would be fantastic, but may not be something AIrforce can do with the design of the gun.

Does this talon pistol come with the buttplate that attaches to the bottle? I can not imagine that it doesn't and I'll have to buy that separately for 70$.... if so that's the deal breaker.

      • Stanley from USA:

No it doesn't its just another option they rope you into.It would be nice if it was included. It is well made but not cheap, and makes the pistol like a carbine, pretty cool.

Hi, question can I put a 24 inch barrel on the talon pistol?

      • Stanley from USA:

The talon p is basically the same as the escape models they just have the longer barrels. So yes you can put longer barrels on them.

      • Jerry from USA:

        Yes

    • Daniel from USA asked:

Does the tank use a foster hookup? I've got a Benjamin Marauder and would like to be able to use the same pump, without changing fittings. If not, what kind of fitting would I need?

      • Nicholas from USA:

will that foster connector work when screwing the tank on to the gun and firing the gun

      • Tyler from USA:

Yes, the spin loc tanks use the same fitting that is found on the Marauder. A male quick disconnect foster fitting
