Thanks to the new Spin-Loc tank and collar, you don't have to remove the gun's air reservoir to fill it. Of course, if you want to, you can remove it easily and attach another one. Carrying an extra filled tank when shooting in the field is a lot easier than carrying a scuba or carbon fiber tank for refills.

Most dot sights have Weaver mounts. If you choose one of them, remember to pick up AirForce's 11mm-to-Weaver adapter listed in the accessories link.

The AirForce TalonP PCP pistol is heavier than most air pistols and cannot be comfortably held the way most pistols are held and still result in reliable, repeatable accuracy. A comfortable hold is with one hand on the pistol grip and the other holding the top of the scope. If you assume a sitting position, you can hold the grip with one hand and rest the gun's forearm on your off hand's forearm. These two positions will draw the pistol much closer to your eye, and you can mount a rifle scope on the TalonP air pistol. A pistol scope could also be mounted, but there are more choices among rifle scopes.

The AirForce TalonP air pistol is one of the most powerful air pistols made today. Delivering over 50 ft-lbs of energy in .25 caliber, the TalonP is the ultimate compact hunting weapon and is easily carried in the field.

Take small and medium quarry with this airgun at distances you'd never normally use with any other air pistol. However, power is nothing without accuracy, and the AirForce Lothar Walther barrels are known for being deadly accurate. The TalonP is equipped with the same 12" Lothar Walther barrel available for their hunting rifles, so you can expect to get the same small groups. This pistol can be fitted with other AirForce barrels in .20 or .22 caliber. However, you cannot mount a .177-caliber barrel as it will cause the reservoir to exhaust all the air.

The power wheel lets you adjust your velocity for whatever distance you shoot and for the type of critter you want to hunt.

With 43.2-grain pellets, you can expect a max velocity of 760 fps. With a 25-grain pellet, you can expect a max velocity of 850 fps.

Remember to buy a scope or dot sight. AirForce's rifle sights can be mounted on the pistol, but we strongly recommend against it since they're not suitable and won't be useful.

Things I liked: The most accurate gun Ive ever shot. It is powerful and it sounds powerful. Its extremely light for the power it delivers. The trigger is awesome. Its exactly how I hoped a magnum power airgun trigger could be.

Things I would have changed: The pump hose is dangerous. Im installing a "whip check" on mine. The third time I filled it, it built up to 2500psi then shot off and hit my shin while I was pumping. It left a nice bruise and lump on my shin. I still say its worth it. Everything I love hurts me one way or another.

What others should know: Unless you are strong or want to get strong quick, buy a scuba tank and a scuba fill hose. It took me 360 pumps to fill the tank and that involved taking breaks every 120 pumps. Buy a mad dog grip with butt and be happy. I already am happy, this gun just makes you feel good when you hold it.

Things I liked: where do I start, this is the most accurate powerful pellet pistol,I ever seen, this thing really packs a punch, even on low...

Things I would have changed: only thing I would change,is the sounds it's pretty loud and probably the hand grips, they're pretty small for my hands..

What others should know: Most accurate ammo,Kodiak match 31.02 grain/ second ammo Benjamin 27.8 third JSB 25.39 gr on power setting 3, I set it on 3 and havn't took it off, great all around airgun, this thing really does a number on small to medium game animals..

Things I liked: Utilitarian design. Nothing unnecessary included and mod it to spec. The power coming out of an airgun. It actually goes bang louder than a Ruger 10/22, to give you an idea of the force being sent downrange.

Things I would have changed: The valve's inner sleeve is flimsy, and while I didn't produce a negative effect, when tightening grub screws to secure it in place, I accidentally drove the screws through the sleeve. More of a user error though, then faulty design.

What others should know: The valve WILL work it's way loose and affect POI and muzzle velocity. If you are ready ahead of time with some loctite and/or replacement valve, you'll be fine. This .25 gun performs very well. Spruce grouse and squirrels are dead in their tracks when they taste this rifle. Did I mention how accurate it is? Using 43gr Eun Jin pellets, this gun will shoot a half inch at 50 yards all day, thanks in part to a fantastic trigger. On recent squirrel hunts I was getting hits dead on at all ranges with no need for holdover and often would score hits when I was half-way expecting to miss when the trigger broke. This gun is a cold blooded killer. If you want a pretty gun get a marauder. If you want to smack the ever living daylights out of....well, everything, get the TalonP. I've had a full stew pot for the last 3 weeks I've owned this gun, thanks to this gun. If the squirrels don't hibernate much this year, I'll put them to sleep soon enough. Great upgrade from the Gamo Big Cat 1400.

    • Ramon from USA asked:

Can an 18" .22 barell been installed on the taloP ?

      • Stanley from USA:

Yes as well as a 24" inch barrel . As interchangeable as the rifle counterparts .

    • Kenneth from USA asked:

Specs for the .25 states 900fps. Has anyone chrono tested this gun with lead pellets?

      • Stanley from USA:

        Tested with a full tank (3000psi) and JSB Exact Kings 25.39 grains shot #1- 908.23 #2-906.94 #3-910.55 #4-909.12 #5-905.65 #6-899.99 ##7-881.51 #8-853.12 #9-828.14 #10-816.29 . Of coarse heavier pellets will slow it down some. Makes good power.

      • Stanley from USA:

The specs I've read for the talon-p are closer to 760 F.P.S. but i plan to chrony this pistol for myself to see how close 900 F.P.S. I can get. I will post the numbers then.
