Things I liked:

Bluetooth!!! with the Apple app is awesome!! Tells you the velocity!! and records and saves shot strings with FPE also NO WIRES

Things I would have changed:

include lights for inside shooting for a reasonable price

What others should know:

I have a square LED garage door light that I hang about four feet above chronie, Shut off any non LED lights in room Make sure you have no moving shadows IE tree branches thru window. This works perfect... no missed shots For $10 more this should be a no Brainer for you

Things I liked:

Light weight and easy to use. Smart phone App is great for keeping records of all your shot lists.

Things I would have changed:

The plus in light weight is also a draw back because it makes it fragile.

What others should know:

The optional lighting system works well for indoor shooting. It's a moderate priced chronograph that works.

Accuracy, set up and simplicity! Works like a charm.

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic. It would be nice if it was a bit more heavy duty. As is, it feels a bit cheap.

    What others should know:

Mine hasn’t failed yet to record a shot, and it works flawlessly with the app!

    Things I liked:

Easy setup and comes with tripod mounting hole in bottom of chronograph. Its a fairly good sized unit. The sunshades attach easily. Hook up interface to my smartphone via bluetooth connection took a little time but it worked ok after the initial setup was completed. Readout was ok and easily visible and worked fairly consistently with an occasional hiccup where the reading froze up.

    Things I would have changed:

Bluetooth connection on smartphone worked ok but it doesn't give a voice readout after a shot. The app is confusing because it shows there is a voice interface with second delay choices but I never could get the voice feedback to work? This is something I need to call them on to see if there is something I'm doing wrong. I have tried the FX chrono previously and that feature worked but the chrono was too inconsistent on readouts so I returned it and bought this one and so far, it seems to work pretty good.

This a very precise chronograph, reads all my shoots accurately

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

I'm new to pcp guns. This chronograph is the better choice over the little compact barrel mount FX model. Also 5x the velocity meter range of the FX. I think upto 6500 fps. Good for powder burners & bluetooth reading on my phone.

    Things I would have changed:

Just the price by 20 bucks. Other than that nothing.

    What others should know:

    This use a 9v battery

    Things I liked:

Its just a very good chrono

    Things I would have changed:

It needs to come with lights like the other leading chronograph

    What others should know:

Its a very good machine, mainly because it will clock anything you shoot over it. Pyramid sent me one that had the sunshades shot with BBs. Both of them. They are still usable but that shows you how they will treat you. I hope the owner is reading these.

Very simple and straight forward to use. Light weight. Turn it on and start shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

Can't think of anything other than update the app to work with ipad IOS16.4.1 If i am being picky then I do not like 9 Volt batteries. I would rather use 6 AA or AAA batteries instead. I never have 9 volt batteries just laying around like i do AA and AAA.

    What others should know:

The app works fine on my iPhone 11 Pro Max IOS 16.4.1 but does NOT work on my iPad same version IOS. The app makes reviewing the data really nice and easy. You do not have to have those metal rods on there sticking up getting in the way. If its sunny outside then in theory you can attach a little hood thing to keep the direct sun off of the sensors. Mine worked just fine on a sunny day without any thing attached. no rods, no hood.

    Things I liked:

Very well built and flawless operation. The bluetooth option is the only way to go with this model chronograph!! The software for both my iPhone and MacBook Pro dowloaded seamlessly and the display of velocities are nice and large on a phone or computer screen. This makes it much easier to see the results, as well as any other data for the specific projectile you are shooting, as the software and unit itself allows various programming of projectiles characteristics, especially if you are using this chrono from a bit further distance such as when using it with powder burners. In addition, I have put countless rounds through (actually over....lol) this chrono. Of all of those rounds I've shot, I've had maybe a handful of error readings. That, my friends, says a lot about this device!! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

    Things I would have changed:

The sun shield support rods could definitely benefit from a better or more secure way of attaching the support rods to the unit. If accidentally bumped or touched, the sun shades will twist out of proper alignment and will need to be correctly repositioned. No big deal though. This thing works perfectly fine without the sun shades attached if you are using it on a cloudy or overcast day. I've thought about about applying a wrap or two of electrical or duct tape to the ends of the rods in order to "bush" them up to create a tighter fit where they attach/slide down into the chronograph unit. I haven't done this yet, but will probably do so the next time I use this awesome chrono.

    What others should know:

This unit will not register BB's, at least not the regular shiny steel BB's. It actually does state this in the owner's manual, but of course....... I had to try it anyway. I did not purchase this unit for BB's so it is really of no concern to me. However, I just wanted to mention this for anyone who may be considering the purchase of this unit for measuring BB velocities. Other than that (which really doesn't bother me at all as I mentioned), I give this Bluetooth DLX Chronograph two thumbs up and would highly recommend it. Happy and SAFE shooting my fellow air gunners!!!!!

    Things I liked:

The PRICE along with the Bluetooth connection and its reliability. The app that installs on your computer or phone is really good. It allows you to program all of a projectile's characteristics so that you get good and accurate feedback.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see the light diffuser posts/rods be configured differently where they attach to the chronograph.

    What others should know:

This is a top notch chronograph for all PELLET guns (and hopefully powder burners as well which I have not tried yet with this unit), but this unit IS NOT usable for BB gun velocities. The owner's manual actually mentions this, but I did not purchase this for monitoring BB velocities. Up to now, I have used it for .177, .22, and .25 cal pellets and I have not had one misread or error display on the chrono (I know it will eventually happen....lol). This is a feat in and of itself. I've probably only ran 30 to 40 shots through it since I have not had it that long. So far, so good. I would highly recommend.

    Things I liked:

So far, it is performing as advertised. In initial testing I sent 86 pellets over the unit from my air rifle from 15 feet away. It detected 84 out of 86 shots (97%). This may have been due to light conditions, or maybe the unit was not ready for the next shot. I love being able to review and store the shot lists on my phone via Bluetooth. I exported the shot data as a CSV file straight from my phone to my computer. I then was able to open the file in a spread sheet. Which allowed me to reformat the spread sheet to my liking, consolidating some information into useful columns or rows ,and eliminating redundant information - very useful. This chronograph gave me a real working knowledge of how my rifle was actually performing. For instance, I learned that my rifle sends 34 gr. pellets at 886 ft/sec, while 26 gr. pellets fly at 936 ft/sec. For a great price point, this unit gets the job done very well.

    Things I would have changed:

Only thing that is scary about this unit (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that is seems extremely fragile. It weighs only 1.4 lbs. I think if you drop it one time, you will be done. I do not plan to test this theory. The unit is 16" long, but the threaded mounting hole (for tripod) is NOT centered on the bottom of the unit. It's 6" from one end and 9" from the other. Therefore, the only thing preventing gravity from tipping this thing off of the tripod is how securely you have tightened the bolt. If your tripod has a detachable mounting plate, make sure it is fastened very securely or you may be sorry. A better option might be to place the unit on flat surface such as a bar stool or small table.

    What others should know:

Be careful when using it. You have to shoot in a very limited area over the unit in order for the unit to read your shots. DO NOT shoot the unit with a 34 gr. pellet traveling at 886 ft/sec. The lighting shrouds are not needed 100% of the time. The unit will work without them. I am a novice shooter; this is the first time I've ever owned a chronograph. However, so far, I would recommend this unit.

    Things I liked:

I've had my Competition Electronics ProChrono DLX Chronograph now for better than a month now. It works just as advertised; the set-up was uneventful, the manual clear and easy to follow. The pairing to my smartphone using Bluetooth was quick and easy. This unit allows me to save the pertinent information to my computer for down the road analysis. And best yet . . . I haven't shot holes in the chrono yet! I have no experience with any other chronographs, but this one from Competition Electronics meets all my needs and expectations.

    Things I would have changed:

The range that I shoot at has a rocky, unstable surface so that stabilizing this unit and placing it on the level is challenging. I realize that the terrain is my issue, but but shooting in the real world isn't always done on a smooth, prepared surface. Perhaps I need to model a platform interface between my chrono and the tripod.

    What others should know:

Be aware that when changing pellets or guns, the settings on the chronograph need to be changed as well for accuracy. I'm quickly learning what pellets shoot best in my airguns using this tool.Hey . . . all this is fun once you get used to it. The more information that I have about my guns, the better I can shoot them. I didn't need to spend a lot of money to get the information I needed.

This chronograph works very well. It does a great job of presenting the data for a shot string. It is a way better value for the money than the alternative that is priced less but is way less of a product. This is my second Competition Electronics ProChrono DXL.

    Nothing.

    Things I liked:

I was a bit leery spending the money for this chrono but my birthday is this week so I splurged. I'm very happy with it! It works flawlessly for me. The free Digital Link software for my 'Droid phone synched up easily (Bluetooth) and it was nice hearing the lady's voice calling out the speeds after each shot. I shot two mags through it from my Avenger .22 and it recorded every shot. You can go through the push-button menus on the front of the chrono if you don't want to use the phone app to see or edit results. It can record 9 different shot strings with up to 99 shots per string. Wow. I like the threaded tripod mount point on the bottom; I set it on a tripod with a slight downward tilt then did my testing from a standing position aiming at that downward angle into my pellet trap for safety. Used the light diffusers outdoors on a sunny day and had no issues at all. Love this!

    Things I would have changed:

Can't really think of a thing I'd change about this chrono... some have reported it "eats" 9V batteries. I haven't had it long enough to drain out the battery, but I turned it on, did my test firing, and then turned it back off again. I expect the battery I put in will last for many test sessions. It's probably a good idea to switch it off when you're changing guns, loading ammo, etc. and will be away from it for more than a few minutes. I don't do any firing indoors so I didn't need the optional lighting kit but you will want to get one of those if you're doing your chrono testing in your basement.

    What others should know:

In the instruction manual it says the chronograph may have a problem seeing shiny ammo like BBs or certain shiny bullets or arrows. It recommends painting the tips of that ammo black! After reading that I was a little worried it would not see my Predator GTO lead-free pellets, as they're made out of some shiny tin alloy which is a lot more reflective than lead. As it turns out, they were no problem at all. Every shot was recorded. I shot two mags (20 shot string) and got 898 fps average, 5 fps std. deviation. High 905, Low 890. My "guess" at tuning the Avenger to get around 900 fps was right on! No outliers or missing data in the string. I am extremely pleased with this instrument and recommend it. Oh, yeah, and PA got it to me in three days, well-packed. Good job as always, PA!
