It could extend further toward the rear to get the weight of the scope and balance of the gun further toward the rear. In it's present configuration, the weight of the scope and base is too far forward for me.

Sits a bit forward on the gun -- no need to remove rear sights. Gives good eye-relief for red-dot sights. Does NOT allow for use of original iron sights with this mount installed, not that that is a problem.

After having previously been critical of Pyramyd Air I need to heap praise on the company for the way they handled my order. I had initially mistakenly provided a bad address when making my order. The mount had been returned to Pyramyd by the residents at the erroneous address. Pyramyd reshipped the scope base to my correct address. The manager of customers service called me to make certain that all was satisfactory.. This all done for a $20.. order... Highly recommend Pyramyd Air.

excellent solution to mounting the red dot or any scope on the 46m.

send it with a little loc-tite

simple aluminum base... make sure you loc-tite teh screws.

Installation is very simple. Remember to leave clearence for forward slide movement before tightening on IZH 46 & 46M. I wanted mount as far rearward as I could to allow a red dot to be mounted with ocular lens even with rear of mount. This was easily accomplished.

Works as advertised. I mounted it on the barrel of my Russian IZH 46M. I attached Weaver mounts and mounted a 2X Pistol scope I had on hand and it works good. Ended up mounting it with the back of the scope just in front of the loading gate, to get the scope back far enough. Seems to hold a zero after numerous rounds, at least on a pneumatic air gun. Spring piston airguns might be a problem due to recoil. I know I had to mount scope blocks behind my scope mounts with my Beeman R-7 to keep the mount from backing off.

I would have preferred a one piece mount, like the B-Squared mount for the IZH 46M. But this was what was available and it was cheaper.

With this mount and a good scope on an IZH 46M with sand bags for a rest you can shoot house flies at 10 meters pretty consistently. You really need optical sights to fully realize the potential of this gun.

I'm using this for a BSA Panoramic Multi-Reticle Sight and the combination is fun and accurate.

Make it one piece, so you could remove it with the scope or red dot attached.

I bought mine from Pyramyd on sale for $20. Very good people to deal with, and a nice $10 saviings over the regular price.

Price and light weight. It has been solid on my IZH-46M. Looks cool as all get out with a cheap BSA Edge 2X scope.

Needs better screws. Mine had heads that stripped right away without much torque. Had to slot one with a Dremel so I could use a standard screw driver on it.

This mount is in two pieces

Fairly light weight, easy to install, seems to stay tight (so far at least)

I mounted this on my Daisy Avanti 747 with an old beat up Tasco pro point red dot. Using one UTG 30mm scope ring purchased here at the same time. I will include a picture of the mount setup. Where it is mounted the center of gravity is right at the safety button, I could move it forward or back if I so desired, but it seems to balance and shoot pretty good where it is. With RWS basics, R10s and some old Daisy pellets I had it shoots 1 ragged hole from the bench at 10 yards. Our 10 meter league allows red dots on pistols which is good for my aging eyes.

This base will fit almost any air pistol

You can't use any sight but open in approved competition. However, the league I shoot in, any sight is OK.
