    Things I liked:

The steel breech kit is easy to install and allows you to put a scope or red dot sight on your 1377. It is a nice upgrade from the plastic breech that comes with the gun.

    Things I would have changed:

My breech kit was from the latest batch and I found that the breech screw hole was too deep which caused pellets to jam when loading. I solved the problem by backing out the screw a couple of turns which raised it enough to allow the pellets to feed properly. This problem was the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 overall.

    What others should know:

I contacted Crosman and they said that my solution was what they recommended to resolve the problem.

    Things I liked:

I ordered two because I own 2 1377 pistols. I like the looks and feel plus it makes a world of difference in the way the pistol shoots. Very nice and I am happy even tho I had to make a couple supper thin washers for under the breech screw.

    Things I would have changed:

The breech screw hole is much to deep. Redesign the hole to where the screw will fit flush so the pellets will not jam.

    What others should know:

To get the pellets to slide in without hanging up, get some 4-48 x 1/4" button head screws with the 1/16" hex and then make a supper thin metal washer. Even for the button head screws to raise them up just a bit. The original 0.050" screws strip the heads out to easy. That is why you use the button head screws. Anyway, Keep filing the supper small washers to where the screw and washer fit perfect and it will work just fabulous. It's a lot more work but you will like the finished work.

    Things I liked:

Provides a solid base for mounting optics.

    Things I would have changed:

The breech screw is countersunk too far. When screw is installed there is a hole that the pellets cross over and get tilted. I am having to point the gun upward, place the skirt over the bolt and fiddle with it to get the pellet lined up properly with barrel. So it needs a filler of some sort in that space. For $40 I expected a more precise fit.

    What others should know:

Bolt seems to have a lot of play. The fit of my plastic breech was better with the exception of not having dovetail.

    Things I liked:

The steel breech has been a solid platform for the red dot that I mounted. The breech stabilized the barrel. Still, I was getting inconsistent target results and did not know if it was because of the red dot or the Crosman pellets I was using, purchased from Walmart. The types I purchased were Pointed, Destroyer, Hollow Point. More on this below.

    Things I would have changed:

Cannot think of anything to change.

    What others should know:

I'm using a Crosman 1377 indoors at 20 feet. The steel breech and an inexpensive red dot have given me a stable and reliable platform. The missing piece for me was finally getting reliable results from pellets. I ordered some Crosman Wad Cutters from Pyramid. That's the pellet that has been the missing link for my airgun. I am now very satisfied with the groupings that I'm seeing. If you are experiencing inconsistent results, try wad cutters. Now my question is: does Pyramid receive better quality Crosman pellets than does Walmart? There is an obvious difference in the performance of the pellets from these two merchants; however, I have never seen wad cutters at Walmart, so I haven't been able to compare exact types. Would like to hear a comment from Pyramid on this.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Solid! Easy installation. Directions fairly clear. With the standard factory plastic breech....the barrel is not anchored down; subsequently, the barrel 'drifts'.......causing a greater level of inaccuracy. With the new steel breech, there is a set-screw (grub-screw) that anchors the barrel down.....preventing the barrel from randomly drifting. Accuracy has greatly increased......and all of the random 'flyers' (from barrel drift) are now gone. The only 'flyers'...... are simply due to an occasional bent-skirt (or otherwise: deformed) pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

There is one major problem: When a pellet is dropped into the pellet tray.....and you just start to slide the bolt forward....... the pellet drops down into a screw hole......and the gun will not chamber a pellet. Using tweezers ..... you can carefully place each pellet directly into the breech.......circumnavigating around the screw hole. I have yet to contrive methodology to mitigate this problem. (((Maybe a drop of Loctite to fill the hole.......then sand down the Loctite to the correct circumferential radii (.177) of the rest of the breech))).

    What others should know:

Figure it out. Make it work. The accuracy gain.....is worth it! (( I'm surprised there's not more flavors of multi-pump pellet pistols out there. Air is free. You never run out of air. And......these things are unsuspectingly incredibly fun!!! ))

The breech is very solid and well made and fit very well

    Things I would have changed:

    Maybe just a little shorter

    What others should know:

I found the instructions on how to assemble very vague a couple of pictures or diagrams would have helped. It was a easy install though

    Things I liked:

Simple to install. Scope installation on steel breach was easy and a solid fit. No more scope wabbel.

    Things I would have changed:

Diagram was very blurry and poor quality. A basic novice could benefit with step by step diagrams and instructions.

    What others should know:

I would like to see more optional parts to modify my crosman 1377. Parts that we available were hard to determine if they would fit or not. Especially if you wanted a longer barrel and front sight adapter. Hard to figure out if you had the parts or not. Had to look at your competition to see if they had what I needed.

    Things I liked:

Well made , all metal and is the best addition to a 1377 Crosman air pistol you can make for the money. Provides a great mounting base for optics or fixed sights .

    Things I would have changed:

    Make them chrome plated

    What others should know:

All my 1322 and 1377 Crosman air pistols have this addition. Note -If you are going through the trouble to change this Breech out , I would recommend also changing the transfer port out at the same time with a larger inside diameter Custom Unit to (increase air flow)

I could not screw the handle into the bolt because of poor thread cutting. This was not a cross-thread event. The two pieces would NOT mate. No response from Pyramyd. Disappointed.
