    Things I liked:

Ease of use and pocket size.

    Things I would have changed:

I would find away to incorporate a mounting system other then the end user and a rubber band.

    What others should know:

No good without downloading the FX Chrono program so make sure you have a higher end phone. Also, test your chrono right out of the box, it seems like a lot of these don't work or work for a short period of time. Seen some youtube stuff that shows loose components on the inside, but I don't know about all that. I returned my first one and was sent a replacement that works flawlessly.

    Things I liked:

simple and easy to use. the setup was flawless. works as advertised.

    Things I would have changed:

label the on/off button. had to find a Youtube video to locate it.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Easy to use, once you figure it out.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. I compared it to my Caldwell and with most shots it's within 1 or 2 FPS and often exactly the same.

    What others should know:

Make sure it's pointed in the right direction, with the green light facing the shooter.

    Things I liked:

This thing is VERY FUN to use. Its easy to set up and you can have multiple profiles with your shot strings

    Things I would have changed:

Make it with a rechargeable system instead of batteries. Just because I always have a portable pocket charger. I dont always have extra batteries

    What others should know:

Once in a while a shot wont be registered but its not so often that it bothers me. But something I feel people should know. For instance, I was shooting my Walther Reign (.25), I shot a 40 string and it missed 1. I shot the next 40 string and it didnt miss any

    Things I liked:

    Easy to use

    What others should know:

Doesnt come with any way to secure it to your barrel. You have to find your own "straps'

    Things I liked:

Excellent quality. Works great. App you can see and hear your shots, fps, ft-lbs, save multiple shot strings, email them. Lots of functions, just have to learn the app

    Things I would have changed:

App just takes time to learn all the functions. Otherwise is straightforward, never gave me any problems.

    What others should know:

Buy it, 50$ more than a competition chono, BUT YOU CANT SHOOT IT!!!, (big plus for me) you don't need light, shoot whenever/ wherever you want. I shot in pitch black with my thermal scope, sighting in, got shot string on my air force same time.

    Things I liked:

Small Form Factor, Lightweight, Doppler isn't light sensitive... App support with multiple profiles

    Things I would have changed:

Make it work more than 3 times...? Robustness, better calibration/hardware flashing options.

    What others should know:

Bought this instead of a normal stand chrono... Only 3 uses and it no longer reads. Tried everything from new batteries to Reinstalling the app. JUNK

    Things I liked:

Small can fit in my belt bag

    Things I would have changed:

Not sure where to put the chrono for accurate reading.

    What others should know:

I still know where to put the chrono..near the muzzle or 4 inch before the muzzle.??

    Things I liked:

    Nice, when it works.

    Things I would have changed:

It works less than 20% of the time.

    What others should know:

For $200 I expect more than hit or miss performance. When you get it just right, it works as advertised. On the beast day it worked 20% of the time, even after multiple barrel placements. I bought a $30 Chinese chrono that works 100% of the time, just doesn't have the bells and whistles. I am using my FX for a target now.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

    Small, accurate, reliable

    Things I would have changed:

First, increase the velocity that the unit will record - it's okay for me for now, but the near future will see higher velocities in air guns. Second, improve the software. (1) make it more functional offline - while not connected. (2) Make the "mail to" data more functional. I have yet to be able to use that data in a spreadsheet like I used to with C.E. Digital Link. Third - Make the unit compatible with Li-Ion batteries. Using the standard alkaline batteries the unit gets flaky connecting after a couple hours of use. Fourth - Provide a comprehensive, printable manual. Videos are a impediment to use during a session even if you know which video contains the info you are looking for.

    What others should know:

I bought this unit to replace my older Competition Electronics chronograph. I wish I had just bought another C.E. I have always put data data in a spreadsheet to analyze and tune my air guns and now feel limited in enjoying my hobby. If you buy one it might fill your needs perfectly - it took me a couple months to figure out that it did not fill mine. I wish that I had waited until or if they improved the software. I would purchase third party software if it were available - the available software is not up to current standards

    Things I liked:

When it works it's nice to have. I haven't quite figured it out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I got it to work in my basement a few times but was never able to get it to give me a reading at the indoor gun range. There is nothing in the instructions that give me any hint as to what I am doing wrong.

    Things I liked:

    Well built. Accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

It need to have a 1/4 inch screw mount on the bottom so it can be screwed onto a standard tripod. Not all of us want to rubber band it to our barrel.

    What others should know:

If you are shooting air rifles this is an essential tool you need in your gear bag. If your pellets are too fast they will not be accurate.

    Rating 1.01.0 1.0

    Things I liked:

    Size.

    Things I would have changed:

This thing is garbage... its reading all over the place, and now it's reading every shot 3 to 5 times and then it won't shut up..it will be in my pocket acting like someone is shooting a semi auto over it.. non stop reading...arrrghhh... screw this thing..going back to my Caldwell

    What others should know:

This thing had major gremlins..mine worked for less than 50 shots...booooo

    Things I liked:

Put it in your pocket and go anywhere. Works well in low light. Works off my smart phone and tells you the speeds

    Things I would have changed:

Adjustable height mounting bracket for bench work.

    What others should know:

No pieces to set up and break down.

    Things I liked:

Excellent chrony! Easy to mount and carry to the field.

    Things I would have changed:

Digital readout on the device itself. Like FX was to have ready in 2021.

    What others should know:

Pretty accurate next to my other chronys.

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

It is not reliant on light, its extremely convenient once mounted.

    Things I would have changed:

Of course it would be nice if it cost less.

    What others should know:

Only received yesterday and tested on a .45 caliber airgun. Although the velocity limit is stated as 1099 I reached 1107 on my lightest slug. I was concerned that the considerable recoil might have a negative impact on the device but readings were consistent and coincided with the readings from a standard chronograph.

    Things I liked:

I had a corny witch was the kind U had to set up & all but it was OK but finally I switched to the FX & its So much easier to use & take with you in your pocket so I wish Id gotten one much sooner but Ive Retired the old unit & never use it. Id Say if you need one get it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing I can think of

    What others should know:

Not that I know of its Just a great piece of equipment.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Small, very portable, seems pretty accurate - it IS very consistent. To me the only thing that makes it worth the money is its' small size which is not that important to me. I bought it hoping that it was more reliable than my Competition Electronics chrony which worked great for a year or so but lately has been troublesome very often failing to record shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Readout in fps. Measuring in meters per second leaves room for error up to 2 fps automatically. Provide a comprehensive user MANUAL either included or an online pdf. The only instructions are a series of 5 two minute videos which don't give a lot of basic info, some of which is incorrect(for instance it tells you not to attach to barrel but youtube video shows how to use the tabs to attach to barrel. The original model did not have these but it did have a tripod mount which I would prefer as hanging the unit on your will change POI. The videos don't even show which way the unit should point when in use. The video points out that the unit should be parallel to direction of fire. First time I used I put it on backwards. The app won't allow you to setup profiles unless the unit is connected - cannot do that offline. The "sent" data is not formatted in any way and is a real pain to import into a spreadsheet. The app for the Competition Electronics is MUCH better

    What others should know:

If the unit lasts and proves accurate then it might be worth the extra cost. I'm not yet convinced as the app really bugs me

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Very compact and easy to use. I like that it talks to you giving you the FPS on each shot.

    Things I would have changed:

Would include some good rubber bands to hold it to gun.

    What others should know:

You do not even know its attached to the gun.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Easy to set up. Works most of the time with faster pellets/slugs.

    Things I would have changed:

I ran some slugs with a lower reg pressure and would get velocity readings maybe 1 in 4 shots. I was only pushing 630 ft/sec at the time. When I run higher velocities(800+ft/sec), it rarely misses a read.

    What others should know:

It's more about convenience than anything. A proper chrono would work better in most cases but this one does the trick for what I'm using it for.
