Updates to this little flipper have been spot on. The new, unobtrusive (and subtly branded) deep carry clip give s the knife a much more refined look. The carbon fiber scales are super strong, light and do not flex (I'm looking at you Bugout), only potential negative is that the scales could get a bit slippery, but hey, it's carbon fiber, it comes with the territory... lock up is tight, pivot is buttery smooth.
IMO this is a perfect EDC knife for the real world- no it's not the most aggressive tactical looking knife in the world, but when you bust it out in the lunch room no one's going to call security. I will carry this wearing a suit, business casual, or jeans-- board room or bar room-- anywhere really. Great looking, great ergos, great steel, and just a touch over 2oz- Bugout killer! Small changes (good on you SOG for listening) make a BIG difference. Great job SOG, I predict this will be a huge hit.
If this was 20 bucks cheaper I'd say it's an instant classic and a no-brainer-- maybe when it hits retail outlets it'll be in the sub-$120 range. I needed a new EDC knife and considering that this is going in my permanent collection, I don't mind paying a little more from the factory. I'm really impressed.

I love the knife with it being as light weight as it is, but the action on mine is stiff. No matter if I thumb or tab flick, this thing doesn’t “snap” as well as the AltairXR that I absolutely love. A bit disappointed considering this knife is more expensive. Maybe mine was a dud? Idk

This comfortably fits in my 4" fist. Great design and finish. The only issue was getting it out of the box it came in (at least for me)!!!

This is my third Terminus. I use them for my every day pocket knife. Different colors. Keeps an edge great even with the daily workout I give them. The design makes them extremely easy to flip open and the locking mechanism is awesome too!!

Nice construction, finish action and the blade feels right

Very strong bugout competitor, multiple deployments. ALL 3 variants of the Terminus XR come gritty and poor action out of the box, but smooth out after an hour of fidgeting with them. The LTE version however is not as smooth as any of the steel liner versions with how the XR lock interfaces with the carbon fiber liners. Carbon fiber is also sharp on several corners on both variants I got and should be smoothed/sanded down for a better experience. Overall a good value for the offering

It's everything I was looking for. Multiple easy ways to open one-handed. A locking mechanism that has positive engagement but is also easy to close one-handed. SUPER light without compromising strength or size. And because I'm left-handed a reversible clip. Zero regrets.

Great blade shape. Great materials. Great value. But all of the edges of the handle were too sharp. I had to take the knife apart and sand the scales and liners. Once that was done, it felt fine. Would be 4 or 5 stars if not for that.

The knife we purchased is difficult to open. So, it's not the knife for you if you want open assist.

Love the knife but really why it took 7 business days before it was even shipped fro SOG I don't know. Then Fedex really messed up up and sent it in a loop for a few days.

Wanted my brother in-law who works for the ATF to have a good carry knife. He likes it very much as his EDC knife. Good steel, nice locking system, and light weight.

This knife is very light. And very sharp. The locking mechanism works very well. This knife is great to have if you already cary around more tools on your pants. To keep from having so much weight on you.
