Being a long term Tekto customer, I was asked to take the A2 Badger for a spin in return for an honest review.
Before being asked to do this, I purchased several Tekto knives (Alpha, Kenetik, Romeo, and others), so I am familiar with the brand and the quality. I am a fan.
Living in California, there are restrictions on automatic blades. The A2 Badgers blade comes in under 2 making it legal to own and carry. The A2 Badger truly is a tank of a knife, it is exceptionally well built, probably better than the other knives I have. The body is made out of light aluminum, and the machined groove allow for a good grip. The blade, as with the Alpha is great, black matte, and easily sharpened. The coolest thing about this knife is the opening and closing mechanism. It is addicting. The sound it makes is so satisfying that I have to remind myself not to play with it.
The cpoket clip was a little too tight, I had to loosen the screw holding it down, but overall this is an amazing knife. I tested the desert cerakote version and did not have a chance to check out the other two colors, I think they are oxidized.

I absolutely love this little knife. High quality build with excellent grips. Deploys quickly and is very solid, once deployed.

NOTE: I'M NOT SO SURE YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE THE A2 BADGER THAT I BOUGHT AND RECIEVED HAS BEEN SENT BACK DUE TO AN OPERATIONAL FAILURE ON THE KNIFE, SO MY COMMENTS TO DATE WILL DEAL WITH NOT ONLY MY INITIAL THOUGHTS ON MY A2 BADGER WHILE I WAS USING BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY ON THE SUPPORT GROUP POST SALES.
-- REVIEW OF A2 BADGER: I REALLY LIKE THE SIZE, CONSTRUCTION AND OPERABILITY OF THE KNIFE.
- THE SIZE IS PERFECT. NOT TOO SMALL TO IMPACT CONTROLLABILITY, YET EASILY CAN BE TUCKED INTO SMALLER POCKETS, MAKING IT A BIT MORE STEALTHIER THAN MOST KNIVES.
- THE ACTION WAS CRISP, QUICK AND VERY CONTROLLABLE. THE ACTION TO ENGAGE THE BLADE TO OPEN/CLOSE WAS STIFF, AS IT SHOULD BE SO AN ACCIDENTAL OPENING DOES NOT OCCUR, BUT NOT TOO STIFF TO MAKE IT AN ISSUE. BOTH DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION AID TO KEEP ANY SLIPPAGE OF FINGER FLESH TO OVER THE BLADE, TO A NEGATIVE MINIMUM. AND THAT BLADE IS SHARP AND CONSIDERABLY STRONG WITH RELATIONSHIP TO ITS SIZE.
- ALSO OPERATIONALLY, A MORE QUIET KNIFE, WITH JUST A SOUND OF A SHORT CLICK.
** GREAT SUPPORT FROM THE TEKTO TEAM WHEN I DID HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY KNIFE. VERY QUICK RESPONSE AND ACTIONS TAKEN TO AMEND MY CONCERNS. INVOKES MUCH CONFIDENCE IN A PRODUCT. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU.

I've started carrying this around more than my other knives. Disappears in your pocket, the mechanism is solid and reliable, and the blade came sharp and strong. Highly recommended.

Like a badger this is compact, durable and sharp!! The A2 Badger has a smooth/swift mechanism combined with the glass breaker stud making it an excellent EDC choice.
As a Mainer I'm proud to have Tekto in my pocket and recommend to my friends and family.! On an extra plus a pocket tool such as these makes ya kinda feel like Batman.

The A2 Badger is one of the best small-bladed knives I have ever owned. It is well-built and well-balanced. I really like the slider button to deploy and retract the blade.

I have been looking for a perfect pocket knife. Most knives are too long to fit comfortably in a front jeans pocket. The A2 Badger is perfect. Just long enough to have a useful blade but short enough when the blade is retracted. The mechanism is smooth but locks well. Great service from Tekto.

I bought this a gift for a female friend. She loves it. Small enough to be comfortable in her pocket all day. The action of the switch is solid and sturdy. Her initial concerns of it being ‘risky' to carry around because it may spring open have been alleviated and she now is a believer. Wants a bigger one!
