Things I liked:

My 10 year old grandkid can operate it. Easily adjustable stock works for all family members. Fun, fun, fun!

Things I would have changed:

Pellets will fall out of the mag if not careful.

What others should know:

Iron sights and bifocals don't mix.

Seemed fairly accurate while it lasted.

    Things I would have changed:

Bought for my son, he used it less than a dozen times before the cocking arm got stuck open. Broken and with a sad son, we pitched in in the dumpster.

    What others should know:

Understandable why they would discontinue this item. I would not consider buying another one of these.

    Things I liked:

Side charging is a definite plus. It did however need a quick RTFM to understand how to actually use it, but once I did that, it worked pretty well. The user needs to lift up on the handle to get it to disengage the retention mechanism, rather than just trying to pull it outwards. Magazines worked better than many other reviewers have stated. Pellets need to be seated into the holes, or yes, they will fall out, but once seated properly they work well.

    Things I would have changed:

Injection molding of parts leads to some very sharp edges. I went through and scraped/filed away all the spots missed during assembly of this rifle. Plastic pistol grip and tube of rear stock area specifically had some major flexing during initial use. I placed a shim between the "buffer tube" area of the adjustable stock and the plastic grip. There is a good sized gap there that, once shimmed, helped stop the excessive flexing.

    What others should know:

For the money, it is a good value. Buy some extra magazines though, it only comes with two and you can go through them quickly.

    Things I liked:

Compact, light weight, easy adjustment for windage and elevation. Accurate! Easy to manipulate the controls. Magazines are easy to load and use.

    Things I would have changed:

Fiber optic front site. I wish it was able to eject the magazines without having to pull the charging lever all the way to the rear.

    What others should know:

I only have the use of one arm and shoot rifles most often from a rest. This rifle is very easy to operate, safely, with one arm/hand. Cocking effort is low enough that I can spend quite a bit of time shooting without wearing out my arm. Great gun if you have a similar disability or are a younger shooter who has difficulty cocking the heavier spring/piston guns.

Your magazine holes are to big for your pellets ! They need to be .020 smaller , so the pellets don't fall out while loading .I have been flaring the pellets to compensate for this !

    Things I liked:

I just received this yesterday and let it sit over night to get to room temperature. Put a few hundred pellets through it today.started out with open sites using Crosman competition 7.4 gr, RWS hobby 7gr and H&N Terminator 7.25gr. Was able to pull 1to1.25" groups with these old bifocal eyes. Cannibalized a cheap Red Dot off a crossbow I have and groups reduced to 1" or less. The best being with the Terminator s (was able to cover one group with a nickel). All shots fired at 9.3m (best I can do in my basement). Just received a Walther 4x32, but it's cold right now so I'll let it sit overnight and try it tomorrow. Very happy so far.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm still in the honeymoon phase, but nothing I'd change right now.

    What others should know:

At $99 price point it's more then I expected. It's light and I think magnifies every mistake I make, but for me that's a good thing. Makes me a better shooter. There's a fair bit of plastic, but the pistol and for grip are pretty solid. The stock is a little flimsy, but not loose and stays solid enough at the shoulder. Fully extended is perfect for me. If I'm still shooting this 2 years from now with no malfunctions easy 5 star purchase.

    Things I liked:

Hi! I like everything about this air rifle! I also have the pro sights for this model (diopter rear, and globe front) i am SO pleased with this purchase. Fit and finish are great. The trigger pull is unreal and the accuracy is rediculous. I am 41yrs old and own a serious collection of air guns (all bought from Pyramyd Air) self indexing mags are awesome. Telescopic stock and adjustable butt plate is a nice touch. No problem for an adult to use! I am 511 205 and it fits me just fine but can be adjusted for a youth too.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!!!!!!

    What others should know:

Buy it! For the money it is a no brainer!

    Things I liked:

This rifle is very light and reminiscent in appearance to the IZH model 61 side lever spring rifle. The fact that it is magazine fed is also a plus. That is the whole list.

    Things I would have changed:

Fit, finish, accuracy, safety, etc. With the IZH prohibited for sale in the US apparently Air Venturi managed to get a replica licensed for production in China, I presume at the Snow Peak factory. While this rifle is reminiscent of the IZH, even to the point where the magazines are identical, it is not even close to the IZH 61. You cannot de-cock this rifle and since the magazine is trapped by the pellet probe after the last shot you have no option but to leave the mag sticking out the side of the action in the most vulnerable possible way. The lever release and lock is a catch pin, not the spring lever from the IZH, and if it is not securely locked down the lever will pop out upon firing and the anti-bear trap feature makes it impossible to return to closed. You are forced to cock the action or just leave the lever sticking out. Every detail of this rifle needs attention, redesign and refinement. A huge disappointment.

    What others should know:

In my opinion there are dozens of youth targeted plinking guns on the market that are so far beyond this rifle that you should not waste your money. I cleaned the rifle, lubed all the areas that seemed to need attention and checked the few screws and hardware attachments to make sure they were tight. I am no novice to spring guns; I currently own and shoot a Weihrauch HW97K, an RWS Diana 48 and a Hatsan Proxima. I have also shot springers by Crosman, Kral and Gamo. And I foolishly sold an IZH 61 years ago to a friend for his kids. The best group I could get from this gun at 10 yards was about 4" using Crosman Brown Box domes. The action is harsh. The cocking action is heavy and I did not even bother trying to adjust the "adjustable" trigger which out-of-the-box is quite heavy. The fact that it cannot be decocked and that your only option after the last shot is to leave the magazine sticking out the side of the action is absurd. This is similar to the IZH in looks only.

    Things I liked:

Bought this guy in the green. Great color for a change. Shot 250 Premium Crosman hollowpoints through it in the first afternoon I opened the box. At 15 yards it is fairly accurate with the stock sight. My eyes are not good so I am going to put a small scope on it. Still after about 100 shots it started to give me a 3" group. Got a little better the next 150 pelletsa. Seems to like those pellets. Part of the 3" group I am sure is me. Feels good in your trigger hand, nice trigger (haven't tried to adjust it yet), cocks easy and precise with the excepting that the arm pivot point is not solid. Adjustable stock is a good concept but found when cocking it I rest it on my knee while sitting at my shooting bench and the plastic part is very loose and will actually move to where the cocking arm hits it. Had to change my method of cocking so the stock won't interfere. If you are going to keep it extended I would tape it. Like the adjustable butt plate but needs to be more adjustable down.

    Things I would have changed:

I would tighten up the cocking arm so it isn't so loose. Latch takes some getting used to. Make the adjustable stock a little more solid. Otherwise happy with it at the $99 price point. Mine had the front sight slightly off center but once you sight it in it is OK. Quality Control....BE SURE you check ALL the exposed screws to be sure they are snug. What I presume the barrel screw is because of it's location was VERY LOOSE and I would say only finger tight at the least. Good Idea to do that anyway on any gun you purchase. The rest of the exposed screws were also loose. Be careful not to over tighten them. They may be just screwed into plastic? Butt plate adjustment needs to be longer. Again otherwise I am very happy with the rifle at a $99 price point.

    What others should know:

This is a $99 sport target rifle, not a professional target rifle. Great for keeping you busy. BUY MORE MAGAZINES. Reloading after 10 shots is not real time consuming but I think I will purchase about 10 more magazines. The five shots are GREAT ! Need to watch the magazine and after 3 holes show it is your last (5th) shot so you don't dry fire it. After warranty I will disassemble and clean it. It WILL smoke for about 50 shots and be inconsistent with power. You can hear and feel it in the gun when it fires. I think they over lube these rifles from China from my experience. Cleaned mine out with 250 pellets ! Buy one! They are inexpensive and actually fun to shoot. Will post again after I put a scope on it which I am sure will improve my groups. At 74 I am not seeing well.....That's why I have a 6foot x 8 foot back stop ! ! HAVE FUN

    Things I liked:

Good value at $100 for the green version. Would make a great first rifle for a child starting out, being compact and easy to cock. Have read reviews where accuracy issues have come up but the example I got has been fine out to 30 feet with the stock sights.

    Things I would have changed:

Cocking handle interferes with the bolt release, making it a little difficult to open the bolt after the last shot to extract the magazine. It can be done if you're careful not to pull the handle too far, but this is something that could have been dealt with when designing the thing. Wish it had a Picatinny rail instead of the M-Lok under it. Stock is pretty flimsy when fully extended.

    What others should know:

For $100 I consider the green version a good buy, but the extra cost for the black makes the cost v.s. value a little questionable. At the higher price there are what I consider better guns out there, but you also have to consider how kid friendly those other options are. I really don't need a scope since I wouldn't count on using this at much more than 50 feet, but I put cheap Winchester air gun scope on mine and it's holding up so far. Initially I was bracing the but plate against myself when cocking it, but after seeing how much the stock would flex this changed to holding the side of it against my waist.

    Things I liked:

I got this gun mainly for my kids since the level on the side makes it easier to cock and since is a multi shot is better fro my kiddos. Over all it is a nice gun , not as powerful but it does the job and the kids enjoy it a lot. It feel sturdy enough and it does have a nice weight. It very accurate the sights work good and very easy to set and fully adjustable.

    Things I would have changed:

The side level is some loose some times when you shoot it can be little annoying and they could done better with the barrel feels little cheap not as nice for the price point.

    What others should know:

You get what you pay for, its a nice little gun , my kids love it , but I was expecting more for the price point, but over all is ok .

Works great for me. Operating lever got some getting used to, but not an issue.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish pellets could be tight fit into the magazine, they fall out if you accidentally flip the magazine before inserting it into the rifle breach.

    What others should know:

Very accurate - 3/8" groups at 10 yards (ctc - 5 shot/1 clip). Tons of fun with reactive targets, and even punching paper. Only accurate guns are interesting? Was that the quote, or something?

Keep pellets in the mag tighter somehow so they don't fall out if I turn the mag when inserting it into the rifle.

    Things I liked:

Weight, TRIGGER!, overall build quality at this price point.

    Things I would have changed:

As others have said, tighten up the rear stock fitment.

    What others should know:

I've owned more than a few IZH60/61 rifles. This is NOT the same, but a decent second. The gun will benefit from a substantial run-in period, think 2-3 full pellet tins. After that, the trigger becomes easily adjustable, down to near match quality. If you try to adjust the trigger without proper run-in, you'll chase your tail. I removed the plastic factory front sight and found a pair of dovetails. I mounted a hooded tapered-post front sight, and a Hungarian polymer 10M match sight on the rear. I also dressed the crown with a round-head brass screw and some white rouge with my cordless drill. Accuracy in my basement at 7.5 yds is single-hole for a full 5 shot clip. I did modify the gun slightly to allow me to release the clip without cocking the rifle. Easy to do with a dremel, and no disassembly. Contact me if you're interested in details. I LOVE this gun as a basement shooter. It's not meant for distance work, but is perfect for its niche. Good value.

    Things I liked:

Light weight, sturdy plastic shell, easy to run if you know what you're doing. It's a good value for a plinker compared to other single-stroke pnuematics.

    Things I would have changed:

Discovered through hard experience that it's not Scout-proof. We bought six of these and by the end of one day, two of them had operator-induced broken components. The "shuttle" piece that connects to the bolt bent/sheared under force when shooters tried to force the cocking handle forward while the bolt was blocked. In one case, the kid had inserted the magazine upside down (which took some doing on its own). In the other case, I don't know how it happened but I'm assuming something similar. Hoping these shuttle slider pieces are replaceable. The other fluke was the tendency of pellets to pop out of the magazines. We had a third gun that had a separate defect (cocking lever is obstructed from locking forward) but it came out of the box that way; I consider that a factory defect vs. operator-induced failure and will pursue a warranty claim.

    What others should know:

So far, it's been hard to find anything about disassembly and repair. Four of our six guns were literally opened for the first time at the range and set to work shooting at spinners, so I couldn't say how well they were patterning. Once we realized that it was easier for us range minders to load and cock the guns for the kids, things went more smoothly.
