Things I liked:

It arrived as promised, only 24 days late. But way better than other complainants. Its here, its here!!! Da plane, da plane!!! I'll update after I have a chance to shoot. Btw, came well boxed, two mags, owner's manual, gun, 6 bullets, and free T-shirt (XL, I'm a XXL guys in case you're wanting to fix this)

Things I would have changed:

More communication and transparency PA! Right sized T-shirt???

What others should know:

I ordered it in March and was supposed to receive it in April. Then I was supposed to receive it in August. Well, look what Hurricane Laura blew in! Damn I'm happy. I wanted it before hunting season so I could have it ready and got my wish. Maybe 2020 ain't so bad after all. But, I still need to shoot it. Waiting on booster pump from Maddog and ammo from Mr.HP as soon as I can order both. I'll update my review after I shoot a few times and become familiar with it. Good luck to the rest of you guys. I'll say a prayer for you and the guys at the plant pushing these out. Stay safe.

    Things I liked:

Overall a great design, awesome FPE for the money, and multiple-shot capacity including extra magazine, and ease of refill connectivity without extra converters, and it worked with my Nomad compressor. Took it out for a target test at 50 yards, four shots (550 and 388 grain) put four holes right through stacked 5 x 5/8" plywood boards. And good accuracy seeing I used a reflex site not yet adjusted. Has some recoil, but felt controlled.

    Things I would have changed:

My Hammer came with a few small surface issues I initially questioned related to the condition of a "new" unit. After questioning Umarex etc. was told that was all normal, or shipping events (I also got the fill-test done so it was removed and replaced in the packaging) so I'd ask Umarex and such to please do better on attention to detail and handling. But still very much liked the rifle and operation and overall feel, was great.

    What others should know:

Order your sight (whether scope or reflex) and a nice bipod stand for it with your purchase - you will need a picatinny connector for the stand. Would I buy this rifle again? YES. Also purchased 550 grain solid and 388 hollow-point grain slugs (0.51 cal) that worked great.

    Things I liked:

I really liked it and shooting it in person rather than just watching videos is insane!!! It is insane. I did a practice shot and a decent distance with no scope and not only hit the tree I was aiming at but also put a fat hole in it lmao. All in all a perfect new little toy to have some fun with and fill the freezer

    Things I would have changed:

I mean nothing really I would love if it was lighter but that is not really realistic. Also not the gun but I would change the online shooing to having everything compatible with whatever gun you buy on its own list and also to explain how to put mounts and such on it

    What others should know:

Buy it do not think just buy and have fun and be safe!

    Things I would have changed:

THE umarex ammo is severely overpriced and not enough in a box umarex keep making airguns and leave the ammo to people who charge fairly for it

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine release is weird and not very assuring along with the bolt safety in the stock

    What others should know:

.510 ammo, I bought "50" cal Seneca and it was to small, also it is very air hungry a good compressor and or a big tank is a must especially while sighting in your scope, also due to the barrel shroud a bore sight won't fit it

    Things I liked:

I like the size, grip, and power. The gun is very well balanced and not too heavy. Accuracy is spot on for me at 50 yards. I have only shot 5 rounds so far, and I am very pleased with the accuracy. You will know as soon as you shoot this rifle, it has enough power for just about any game. I had PA do the 10 for 10, and I received the rifle with no issues at all.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to have an adjustable trigger. That is the reason for the 4 stars.

    What others should know:

The rifle is loud and does kick. Not an issue for me. However, it is very accurate and powerful. If you want a rifle for large game, this is it. Get a compressor uses a lot of air.

On the tip of the barrel it is plastic and I am unable to use magnetic bore sight! But I purchased a one shot device which I connect to my scope!

    What others should know:

Great gun, Umarex has fixed the earlier problems and they have great customer service! I am getting 4 good shots per fill!

    Things I liked:

This rifle is not to be taken lightly. It lets you know right out of the box to take things very seriously. Recoil is very similar to a 44 magnum rifle and performance is not that far off. The 550gr slug shot threw a piece of treated 4x6 timber and knocked it 5ft from its stand.

    Things I would have changed:

Need to come up with a way to cure the air blast from the breach. Guess you can call it dramatic effect but there is plenty of in the recoil, muzzle blast and bullet impact. Have to believe there is a little power loss too. The trigger on this rifle is something to get used to. Manageable but Feels like a crossbow trigger.

    What others should know:

The Hammer is very much like shooting a real centerfire rifle. Demands respect! Looking forward to using it deer hunting this year! Fix the breach blast and it would have five stars.

    Powerful - Accurate!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Differently regulate it. Uses gobs of air and takes a long time to work with it. Itsokay tho

    What others should know:

Got mine from another good company warehouse. Packaged nicely good instructions for mine. Go over it thoroughly first. Takes time don't hurry. Takes long to fill. Measure the barrel bore before buying ammo! These are rated .510 bore dia. Mine was lareger! Some are smaller. Don't assume or you will pay! Measure first, that's a rule for any big bore pcp. Be easy with it,don't knock it around. Mine works flawlessly. Havnt shot it a 1000 or more times to know how long it lasts tho. Get a good air compressor! Don't assume! I use the Hill 3000 model. This air gun IS way more powerful than its rated! It can be moded! Mine pumps out around 1000FPE!!! Using Mr Hollowpoint heavies! Moded. Factory IS good for 735FPE!!! But this air rifle, you will NOT be disappointed! Have fun

    Things I liked:

It's the Hammer, whats not to like? Seriously, it is a lot of fun to shoot. Every time I go to the range, the (real gun) shooters give me that look of why bother with a air gun. Then I shoot it and the questions are endless. I have had multiple people ask to try shooting it, and they are amazed every time. Several have purchased their own so I am not the only one shooting the Hammer at the range.

    Things I would have changed:

The bolt is not of great material and does not like cold weather. Mine broke when temps were around 25 F outside. Now I am careful to not pull back with anymore force than necessary to cycle the bolt. Sent back to Umarex and they sent me new Hammer without any hassles. Very happy with the service. They were quick to respond! Magazine when cycling to second shot can and will break off the stop. Sent back and was replaced with no issues from Umarex. Again to avoid problems I now use my hand to let slow the shifting so it does not slam to second shot position. If I am in a hunting scenario this would be a problem, I would let it cycle on its own with no help if I needed the second followup shot. The magazine was still usable but I had to use hand to stop it in place otherwise the mag would fly out of the gun.

    What others should know:

This gun uses a lot of air. you will not be shooting round after round quickly. Is it worth it? YES!! The first Hammer had over 1500 shoots with no issues, until the bolt snapped off. The new replacement has over 2500 rounds and still no issues. If storing with air in the bottle it will leak out over time. Is this normal? Don't really know for sure, but both did this. As long as you are aware that after a month you will drop in pressure from full to around 1000 psi. This does not effect the use if filling and using as it takes TIME for the air to leak. Accuracy took time to get use to the air blast and trigger pull. I have now dialed it in and can consistently shoot 2- 4" groups at 100 yards, that is good enough for me. If you are looking for something different and fun this is the gun. I will be taking this on a big game hunt and will update when the time comes as to how the Hammer performed.

    Things I would have changed:

O-rings blew out after approx 30 shots. Accuracy was horrific, 6-8" groups at 25 yards. Used sized lymann cast lead 350gr. at recommended diameter.

    What others should know:

Waited for the Hammer for 2 years and was useless for hunting since too inaccurate and o-rings blowout repeatedly.

    Things I liked:

I like the rifle. Power is there, have not experienced any leaks yet although I have only put 50 or so rounds through it. Have had for almost 2 months at this point. This thing is (to me) a beast. Buy a tank and a compressor for this bad boy! I own the bulldog .357 and .30 hatsan blitz along with this and would opt for this rifle for hunting whitetail on up. I have no issues on groupings at 50 yards using 350 on up slugs. To me this is a tool not a toy. I will use it to hunt game not putting rounds through for fun.

    Things I would have changed:

The fill Guage is on the wrong side (or the port is) and sling studs but other than that if you do the research the specs on weight are there. This isn't a rifle you will hold up for 5 minutes waiting on the perfect shot so if you lack in the muscle department buy a bipod for hunting or pick a different rifle!

    What others should know:

If you want a fine functioning rifle buy a quality scope for it and be prepared to feed the piggy the money it takes to operate it!

    Things I liked:

ABSOLUTE CANNON!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE PELLET GUN FOR PLINKING AND SMALL RODENTS. IT CAN COMPETE WITH SOME GUN POWDERED FIREARMS EASILY. IT LEAVES HUGE HOLES WITH 350 GRAIN HOLLOW POINTS. DON'T TAKE THIS RIFLE LIGHTLY IT'S A BEAST!!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

A LOT OF POWER BUT TAKES A MAJOR EFFORT TO GET IT TO 4500 PSI WITH A HAND PUMP. COULD USE A SOFTER TRIGGER AND IT GIVES YOU A KICK WHEN FIRED. MAKE SURE YOUR HOLDING THE RIFLE PROPERLY SO THE KICK ISN'T AS HARSH ON YOUR SHOULDER. BECAUSE OF THIS, IT COULD USE A BETTER SHOULDER BUTT TO ABSORB SOME OF THE KICK IT CREATES.

    What others should know:

WORTH EVERY PENNY. YOU'LL BE SHOCKED AT HOW POWERFUL THIS GUN IS....SERIOUSLY, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

    Things I liked:

Power. Reasonable weight. AR grip ergonomics. But it ends there.

    Things I would have changed:

Complete redesign to the action and loading mechanics. You get a HUGE blast of air to the face from around the magazine. It's not just a little puff. It's debilitating to shooting, and frankly, it feels DANGEROUS. This is not a faulty gun, it's normal operation and states in the manual not to put your hands anywhere near the breech.

    What others should know:

I am an experienced airgunner. The previous comment that mentioned "it's as if CO2 plinkers designed a big bore," couldn't be any more accurate. It shows in all aspects of the design and workmanship of this gun.
