A great value, accurate, powerful and easy-to-use.
Things I would have changed:I bought the plastic stock model. Almost immediately I regretted saving a few dollars. I bought a wood stock and it looks great now.
What others should know:The Avenger is regulated. The shots are always a consistent speed. Never buy an unregulated air rifle.

I purchased the wood stock Air Venturi Avenger, I purchased a pump from Velvor. Just pumped it up yesterday and shot it for the first time. Started sighting in scope at 25 yds. I can cover 5 shots with end of index finger. The rifle has no recoil and I purchased a moderator off of eBay and the rifle is real quiet. This is the moderator, Custom Monocore Vented Baffle for Air Venturi Avenger & Umarex Origin Air Rifles. I am going to have to contact the seller because I had to do a modification to get it to fit but it worked well. I purchased Crossman .22 hollow points locally and they shoot real well. I sure like the magazine and the rifle has all the adjustments externally plus 2 gauges for the air. I recommend this rifle.

the gun shoots great. I have a range at my house from 50 yards, 60 yards, 70 yards and 80 yards. I shoot tight groups at all distances. I bought the Avenger in the .22 cal. and the 25 cal. The .22 was in the plastic stock and ended up having to send it back and bought the wood stock version. WAY BETTER a much better well made gun. I have added barrel bands and my shot groups improved a lot. At 50 yards I now have two groups, one group of 10 shots and the other group of 5 shots and both groups can be covered by a dime. VERY impressed. The first barrel bands I purchased was the slip on type with no way to tighten. They would slide up and down the barrel, no bueno. I bought the second type that have grub screws at the top and bottom that make the shroud and the air barrel solid. POE does not change when you handle the gun by the barrel.
Things I would have changed:The only complaint I have is when filling my gun I have to unscrew the moderator to get the quick connect to attach. Even with the DonnyfL adapter there isn't room. If I really force it I can get it on but it scratches up the moderator and I still have to unscrew the moderator almost all the way off. does anyone know of a 90 degree quick connect in 1/8".
What others should know:Barrel bands that tighten down solid really tighten up your groups.

First I like the power and accuracy, I really like the feel of a wood stock over the plastic ones, the trigger was very good and predictable, and this took light to heavy pellets as well as slugs all with very good results, the power is great and with 43.2 grain pellet busted through pine 2X4's with ease. I also liked the picatinny rail on top as well as under the front for utility reasons. For the price, this nice handy rifle has features I have only found on $1000-1600 rifles, like the trigger, full regulation, hammer adjustment and smooth cocking handle. It is a great package, and truly found my favorite air rifle so far.
Things I would have changed:I don't have anything I don't like, however I still like open sights option, and would be nice if it was offered in a walnut Montecarlo style stock with deep grip and adjustable cheek piece. and possible higher capacity magazine that was slightly thicker for the big maximum size pellets.
What others should know:whether you are just beginning or have been around PCP air guns for a long time, this is a great item to add to your collection.

Love that its wood and after you add a scope and bipod it really looks good, also that it comes with a single shot tray. Also that you can adjust the power.
Things I would have changed:The magazines need to be better made or something ,the two i got keep causing jams and the mount on the bottom for a bipod it needs to be metal so that it doesnt move .
What others should know:I like that it comes with 2 mags i just wished mine didnt causes jams, I would hate to send it back to PA. because it keeps jamming but darn it it took me all night for me to talk my wife into letting me buy this gun and to find out it jams all the time for me.

The wood stock is a nice addition, not just a cheap piece of wood either. Has a nicely balanced feel.
Things I would have changed:The instruction manual is a bit sparse but YouTube has everything you would ever need to know on this rifle.

The gun is awesome for the price!
Things I would have changed:The curve in the trigger is to tight for my large finger.
What others should know:My first one looses pressure, about 200-300lb in 24 hours. I am waiting for a replacement hoping to get one that holds.

fit and finish is great on the pcp. shoots hole in hole at 50 and 25 yards. the wood is very nice a bit slick though . I may sand the finish a bit.
Things I would have changed:perhaps make the barrel a inch or 2 longer. put gauges on that are easy to read
What others should know:It seems to shoot almost any pellet or slug very well. Add the Donnie Fl extender, it seems to make it more accurate. Love the gun, highly suggest it to any shooter

Loved the look of the Woodstock. .25 cal works great for hunting some furbrearers
Things I would have changed:Because of the noise I added a DonnyFL moderator to the barrel which made it a little cumbersome when filling with an air compressor. I would reduce the length of the air tank to be shorter than the barrel
What others should know:Nothing. Excellent rifle for the price with a beautiful Woodstock!

Love the accuracy. And everything else about the gun
Things I would have changed:Nothing. Perfection.
What others should know:Mine is set at 2200psi on the regulator in .25, 0 turns on the hammer, 910 fps 46 fpe with 25.39 jsb Diabolo. I will turn the hammer spring soon to get jsb knockouts going 900 fps, 61 fpe for some coyote hunting. If accuracy is not good there, I will try 950-1000

SOLID AS A ROCK
Things I would have changed:Larger air capacity.
What others should know:I have both the polymer and wood versions. The wood version is far superior but does cost more money. Both guns are accurate but the wood version is more accurate. I have my regulator set at 1900psi with about 2 complete turns in on the Hammer Spring. This gives me about 60 good shots with the H&N Terminators. By the way...my rifle loves this pellet.

This is the best air rifle I have shot . Extremely accurate dime size groups at 50 yards no problem even with wind. The Woodstock is superb quality you would think this was an $800 plus gun. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for an accurate affordable well-made PCP.
Things I would have changed:Nothing!
What others should know:Clean the barrel before first use and she likes any pellets around 18 grains .

Awesome accuracy shooting even without a lead sled. I pulled some of the shots but the groups with FX hybrid slugs were all under 1 Inch at 35 yards.
Things I would have changed:Nothing, got it from Blue Ridge Airguns, if you are in their area, check them out

We bought 2 of these and they are both great. Had to shim the rear of the scope on both but once that was done it was easy to zero. We're shooting Crosman Premier hollow point 14.3 grains and they fly true for us. We set it up in what one reviewer deemed the "Eco Tune" because we're hand pumping till our compressor comes in. We've put nearly a full tin of pellets through them and could not be happier. They are accurate and very easy to shoot. Being that these are our first PCPs we have nothing to compare to. Beats the pants off of springers and nitro pistons that we have had. They are far lighter as well. At 3000 psi(all I'm willing to pump them to, we're getting plenty of shots. Here's a video to watch on the setup. Follow the instructions in the book and from this video and you'll be fine. It's a long video but worth the watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D_Zml_2wd4
Things I would have changed:Wouldn't change a thing. They're awesome. They should think about dressing it in carbon fiber...light and tight.
What others should know:Watch the video...read the manual. Don't lower the pressure unless the gun is empty. Start from the lowest setting in the pressure guage and work you way up SLOWLY. At 1400psi tune, 50 yards is still accurate. Awesome gun...buy yourself one. They call it entry level, but with this kind of accuracy, I can't think of any reason to "upgrade".

Everything except overall length with a moderator. It is long but the shot count, accuracy , and adjustability for whatever I want to push down the barrel. Like the Liberty it is NOT pellet picky and shoots lights out. For the money it is very hard to beat and holds its own with several guns I have that cost me a lot more. The plastic stock is nice and light compared to the wood stock I have on my liberties. Many after market parts available from DUI.
Things I would have changed:Nothing really. For the money you really cant beat it like I said. I would however love to see a forward cocking version in a BULLPUP from Nova Vista/Air Venturi. I would be the first in-line to but it.
What others should know:Bang for the buck, adjustability, raw power, easy to fill, high shot count, quality, good luck out doing it without spend a fortune.

I like the improvements that have gone into the barrel shroud support and wood stocks differently that dress the Avenger up. My Avenger loves the Crosman Premiers, that makes me happy. the regulator is steady with no noticeable air leaks.
Things I would have changed:I like to see a change of making the receiver block in one piece machined aluminum alloy.
What others should know:Clean the barrel and keep the pellet probe lubricated. I have my reg set to 1700 psi and Hammar two and a half turns in from out. My Avenger loves the Crosman premiers, H&N 21.14, Vortex strike 17.75, H&N 18.13, and all of the top brands. I'm very happy with my wood stock Avenger.

Accuracy and tune-ability
Things I would have changed:Trigger is very good, I have noted a slight creep.
What others should know:Rather than simple end cap on the barrel shroud, mine came with a cap that included baffels and a tube that fits over the barrel; similar to the Donnyfl adapter. I have not seen any reference to this type of end cap.
