AirForce TexanSS Carbon Fiber Tank Reviews

This is by far my best hunting rifle out of the many air rifles I have. Super light and easy to carry in the woods and short enough to not get in the way. This thing is POWERFUL, very POWERFUL! There isn't a big game animal I wouldn't take at 100 yards or more no problem with the right shot.

The only problem I have had is a leaky gauge and that's it so far and have been shooting it for around 6 months now.

You can hit a 6 inch gong consistently all day at 200 yards with 350 grain hollow point boat tails. If I had an area past 200 yards to set up the gong I'm sure I could dial it in for that far too, no problem. Super nice piece of equipment worth every penny, no regrets. Getcha one if you can afford it.

It's lightweight and quiet and Powerful

There seems to be an issue with the power wheel turning on its own from the percussion of the shots also they need to put picanny rails instead of these 11 millimeter dovetails for more options for the buyers and some kind of foam for where your cheek touch the carbon fiber bottle it's gets cold I have had an issue with the safety won't engage all the time have to recock to get it to move a simple cross bolt safety would be better for this pcp.

I reached out to Air Force about the power wheel turning on its own and they sent me some screws they were very helpful and quick in response kudos to them

I got this for hunting purpose in 45 Its lightweight very fast to reload more power than whats needed Hunting Big game with the right shot placement

Not too much at all streamlined easy to maneuver

Filled it to max pressure with 350 grain Nielsen at a steel target trap in the backyard I dont know which one was louder the sound of the lead hitting the trap or the report either way I know it will do the job I havent used it yet for hunting Im stocking up on 457 now For this coming season I would say has a good shot count I took three off and I was still able If wanted three more Lethal hunting shots I just topped it off very happy with the purchase

First and foremost, let me start by saying that the Purchasing Process with Pyramid Air was Absolutely EXCELLENT! From Start to Finish, and with super fast shipping! On the Texan SS .45 - IT IS WITHOUT DISPUTE - the most powerful Air Rifle in the World! ...and I have owned quite a few. My initial reservations about this weapon was the fact that it was only a Single Shot - but the performance changed all that! This rifle is Amazing! Once zeroed; one shot is all it takes!

Wish it was a multi-shot.. a Four Round Mag system would be Great!

It's not "super" loud, but it is Respectable. It does not sound like your average pellet gun planker - you can definitely hear, and feel the power - but it is back yard friendly. I live in a residential area, and have received no complaints. Inside, it does not require any hearing protection, but I wear it anyway. The Suppressor does an excellent job.

Very powerful and accurate for an ar rifle.

The recoil plate could be better. Easily comes loose with only one screw holding it.

The tank is losing air at the fill valve. In contact with company for a fix.

Puts a lot of lead down range at a good fps

Never been a fan of 11mm dovetail

I would have gave it a 5 star rating if I would not have had take the pressure gauge off and clean it up then put it back on to keep it from leaking air

I own four air rifles and the Texan SS .457 is brilliant . It puts 350 gr and 405 gr slugs into 1 inch groups at 50 yards right out the box

This air rifle is easily the culmination of all the greatest innovations in PCPs from AirForce. If you want the best their is, the the Texan SS is it.

I love it! SO much POWER... Also own a fx impact and they both have a place and a job to do. Not to noisy.

Would be great if it had a controlled pressure regulator like fx, but good gun.

This is a very impressive, mean looking rifle. Its accuracy is outstanding. Several times I hit the same hole at 120 yards!. I love it!

I would like an adjustable cheek rest and buttpad. Shooting methods differ from of hand to sitting in front of targets. Seems to me that someone at Airforce could engineer something that would help. I would buy it.

Buy plenty of lead my friends, this gun is fun to shoot. Purchase a good scope, it does have a good kick.

Dove tail rail is not practical... the air gauge is cheap looking . The stock is too short and the one bolt in the shoulder rest is not a good design.. but its things that you can change and thats always fun .

Get a big air tank because its a beast.

Another great AF gun, super light and accurate out of the box. This is a great gun for blinds, thick woods stalking and also great for kids. My son loves it and I can't wait until we are hunting together next year (I have a standard Texan).

Come on AirForce, you guys clearly could have afforded to put a new gauge on the bottle that actually marks the correct pressure so you don't have to trust your pump/tank gauge, this gun has the same gauge that's on the regular Texan lineup.

Again, just a great gun, super lightweight and deadly accurate with the right ammo (I shoot NSA 254 HP-BT), and it shoots much larger NSA offerings accurately as well but I just prefer the light ammo for taking deer here in Maryland.

This is my favorite gun now. Plenty of power right out of the box and accurate.

If it had an adjustable length of pull and a weaver rail.
