This is my first electric bb gun and it took a bit of getting use to. I charged the battery overnight and once that was done, I plugged my voltage alarm because I found out that the battery will be useless if it dips below 3.4v. With CO2 I didn't have to worry about it. However its like buying an electric car, new things to know and learn. The pull on the trigger was nice and the accuracy was good. I love the full auto mode and switching from semi and full was easy. What I don't like is the waste of bbs because the magazine will not feed all the bbs for you to shoot. That was kind of odd. I also wasn't too excited about having to reload with the speed loader because I didn't want to jam any bbs in the magazine as I wasn't sure if it was full or not and the speed loader would stick. I did put a drop of oil in the speed loader plunger, which is now made of metal, and I was able to reloaded smoother and the plunger stopped once the magazine was full. The accuracy was good, I was able to hit a flower stem from twenty feet away and a dot mark about ten feet away. Fun to shoot in both modes.

Perfect rifle for fun. Always working always accurate. Love 400e Gen 1. No more CO2 cost for me. Just charge and go! I would love to have an option in changing the butt stock like on my other BB auto rifles. But I understand battery has to go someplace.

It's been 3 months of "awesome" with my 400e. I have always wanted an automatic bb rifle ever since I was a young boy. This is truely a dream come to life. It's simple to use and feels like the real deal. Not a single complaint and smiles every time I pull the trigger. I am so happy I purchased 2 so that I can share this pleasure with a friend at the same time. My next purchase is going to be a quality built Barra.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Enough said. My wife loves it also! I bought it to scare off the squirrels from the solar panel inverter cables. Previously, squirrels would chitter in laughter, when i’d shoot at them with an airsoft. With the 400e Gen2, they scatter in terror and don’t come around for days. The 400e Gen2 is a far better investment than the installed squirrel guard that they would just lift and squeeze under. Had i gotten this years ago, it would have saved me thousands in labor and parts for the chewed inverter cables. The 400e Gen2 shoots quietly, so my neighbors don’t get annoyed, as the sound doesn’t travel very far 🙂 Thank You Barra Airguns! Such a fun gun, and very well made. Cant wait to put a laserscope on it.

I bought this for my wife for pest control and plinking. It is accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I give it four stars because it is hefty for my wife to handle. The sights are hard to flip up and use. The battery cover is impossible to open quickly and needs a redesign. I plan to replace the iron sights with a red dot.

Bought one of these about eighteen months ago. (I don't think it was a "Gen 2") I have about 15 Pellet and BB rifles (I've lost count) including C02s, break-barrels, pumps and PCP's, and for sheer "fun," while not as lethal, this is right up there with my full-auto Hatsan Blitz PCP. Realism: It feels and looks too real! You should prolly carry it in a bag or something till you get to wherever you're going to shoot. Performance: With open sights, I can hit a milk jug 10 times out of 10 at 60 yards. Crazy accurate for a smooth barrel. The gun hits targets like it has eyes of it's own. Quality: I did manage to melt my trigger switch and had to replace the gearbox, but to be fair, I also ran over 50,000 rounds through the old girl, so you won't hear me complain. And yes, I'm buying another one for my dad for his birthday.

Very fun to shoot in both semi and auto mode. Metal construction feels like a real gun

Just received my rifle and have shot a few magazines through it. IT IS SOOO MUCH FUN!!!!

I am happy with my purchase. If i had yhe money would buy another one. So right out of gun gun was hitting the target down and to the left. The pop up sights gave me enough adjustments to compensate. So i was off and running, what fun the gun is to shot. The grouping 30 ft was very nice, 2 inch. In full auto the accuracy was about the same, making it easy to hold on a target. Did i mention it is really fun to shot. As for ammo, im just using daisy copper coated bbs, they seam to be doing just fine in the gun. So thank you for your time and have a great day.

Love the rifle and the fact that it is electric… Wow. Very well built robust and feels like the real deal! Once you sight in this thing holds a spot on grouping!

So much to say. Gun is great but can not seem to get the accuracy I want with the laser site I bought after purchase, But neat that light/laser combo and switch mounted on gun without issue. Also just mounted a Magpul bi-pod to more stabilize to sight in. If I continue to have issue will add a power scope. What makes this gun exceptional is that all these accessories can be mounted in conjunction with each other. Power was actually surprising as I accidently drove multiple shots in automatic mode into a soft wood rail on my back porch that I taped a target in between. Wood putty and paint will fix. The gun is great with a solid and great feeling construction. The rate of fire and the amount of shooting between charges have put all my CO2 units back on the shelf. That previous constantly changing of CO2 cylinders, as CO2's will leak out when not used for several months is an old issue and now a thing of the past that I do not miss. If something is bothering my cat's I can grab this weapon and be outside before the attacking parties can get away. Speed loader and loading of clip is also easy and amazingly fast. Price of additional clips is a great savings over CO2 designs that have a lot of added weight and infrastructure due to CO2 integral working's. I would never buy an EV, but I swear by Barra's Egun. Barra should try to redesign a gun with these features for nostalgist's like me in either a Thompson, MP3, BAR, MP40, MP44 or MG42 in an electric product line. I would buy the whole collection to get this technology that satisfies without the down time of finger loading and CO2 replacement. Also the sales lady that helped me out was as great as the purchase and she assisted me throughout with my first time ever into this type of gun with it's technology. Barra also sells additional parts and accessories that you can renew your 400E with for as long as you own it
