Things I liked:

Tremendous value for the money spent, very powerful gun in 177 cal. Shooting 15gr NSA slugs at a greatly tuned down 775fps for 35 plus shots from 3000 psi down to 2000 psi. This 177 cal gun with slugs because of its power is truly a long range monster. If shooting pellets use JSB Monsters and then go from there, IMHO any pellet less than 13 grains is doing a disservice to this gun. Gun has a tunable trigger, power adjuster at the back and a moderator ------- you get a lot for your money ! I might also add this gun is built like a brick house ... I have a few of this same gun after buying the first one !!

Things I would have changed:

Wish it was a bit easier to cock and had a removable moderator.

What others should know:

Take this gun and turn down the hammer power spring till you get the velocity your after and work on your bell curve --- also be sure you have a chronograph, it is an essential part of air-gunning

Things I liked:

Liked the looks of the gun, the size and the design. I can not tell you much more. The gun would not accept air so I never got to shoot it. We tried several things but none of them worked so I had to return it.

    Things I liked:

Amazing rifle, accurate and powerful, at max power and with the magazine filled with nice .22 slugs, I was able to hunt wild hogs! Here at Brazil, It's legal to do so, but I hunted from a tree stand, for safety reasons. Very easy to fill the gun with a hand pump.

    Things I would have changed:

You need an Allen Key to adjust the Power output.

    What others should know:

You won't need an Air compressor, Just a hand pump. Very easy to fill.

    Things I liked:

Price and accuracy. Its a very good entry level rifle that shoots better than rifles costing more.

    Things I would have changed:

The finish on my .177 is peeling off the stock. Where ever its handled a lot its rubbing off. Its paint I guess. I haven't looked at my .22 yet so it would be nice if what ever is coming off was more durable. Other than that I'm happy.

    What others should know:

I have four PcP rifles. Two of these Chief 2 synthetics and a Gamo Urban and Diana Storm rider and the Beeman's are more accurate and consistent than the ones that cost more. At 25 yards I can put a full magazine in a 1/2 inch circle.

    Things I liked:

I got mine on sale for $180, and for the cheapest pcp out there, it gets it done for my purposes (spinners and squirrels at 25 yards and under). The power adjustment is a nice feature, and can push CPHPs anywhere from 300-870fps. It doesnt do very well with CPHPs but with H&N Terminators and Barracuda Hunters you can get 1/2 inch groups if you adjust the velocity to the pellets sweet spot (the lighter terminators prefer less than max velocity out of this rifle). This is a perfectly capable squirrel rifle within 30yd and probably 50yd if I put in the time to test and tune, though it is not regulated.

    Things I would have changed:

Biggest pain: if you dont lube the bolt probe o-rings, they will shear off and the mags will not feed. For months, this was a single shot rifle for me before I figured that out. The power adjustment, I assume a hammer spring tuner, will not stay consistent and will need re-tuning with a chrony. One day I found the velocity had dropped 100fps with the same psi, so I suppose the hammer spring adjustment wiggles with rifle movement. Minor peeves: Trigger can be adjusted for pull weight, but not pull length even though the screw is there, so the trigger pull is rather long, requiring an somewhat unorthodox grip. A tad front heavy from hollow synthetic stock. Unregulated; a given for the price but expect a ~4fpe power curve from 3k-2k psi if the rifle is tuned for 15-25fpe.

    What others should know:

You get what you pay for, it is fine for anything 30yds and under if you test and tune for optimal fpe and pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Only problem I have with this rifle is the rear sight adjustment. I have it bottomed out and it still shoots low. I wanted it for the good open sights but I'll have to put something on it

    Things I liked:

22 Cal. Gauge under fore-arm instead of suicide placement. Fill pressure 3000 PSI which is perfect. Adjustability of Hammer Spring tension. Single tray option.

    Things I would have changed:

Correct skew on rear sight. Rear sight is sliding to the side of barrel as well as twisted at an angle. Better quality magazines. One of my magazines failed (tension was lost), as I was loading pellets into for the first time--never even got to the point of inserting magazine into receiver of air rifle. (Pyramyd Air, please send a replacement for the defective magazine). Also Pyramyd, can I purchase an additional magazine as the magazines shown on website only fit QB Chief 2 Wood model? Thanks in advance for taking care of that for me!

    What others should know:

Wonderful PCP. Will sale out again. Get yours now! .22 cal is the best cal.

Price. Easy to fill with Hill mk4. No fill probe....has male quick disconnect. Zero to 3000psi with 150 strokes. Easy access to hammer spring adjustment. Comes with sights.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety. Difficult to engage, impossible to engage if rifle is cocked.

    What others should know:

This is the best budget pcp you can get. Beats diana stormrider hands down.

    Things I liked:

My new chief 2 plus s just arrived today, 28 Jan 2022. Wanted a low cost but accurate .177 pcp. Air reservoir was near zero psi. Used a Hill mk4 hand pump to fill up to 3000psi. 150 pumps put it slightly over 3K. But the gauge on the Hill mk4 showed 3K. If pressure is still above 3K tomorrow, after cooling down, I will bleed off pressure down to 3K. If no loss of pressure over 1 weeks time, will assume no major leaks. Gotta love the male qd fitting for the air fill. My BT 65 .30 that I got last week uses a fill probe. Ordered a second probe incase the original gets lost. Next week, will put some lead down range and use a pro chrono dlx to check velocities. Only have crosman 7.4 grain pointed domes for now. Have to order some 12.5 grain slugs to test also. PS: only gave 4 stars for accuracy until I can actually shoot the rifle. Gave 4 stars on beeman's reputation alone. Will adjust rating as needed.

    Things I would have changed:

I would most definitely change the safety to a different style. Like maybe a crossbolt safetey. And make the moderator removeable, so an aftermarket moderator can be attached.

    What others should know:

The safety is wonky. A bit difficult to engage. And impossible to engage if the action is cocked. Rifle can be decocked in normal manner to allow safety to be engaged. But a pain to do an extra step just to engage safety.

    Things I liked:

The accuracy is very good for the price. the magazines are very simple and easy to use. the iron sights are okay. the trigger is phenomenal, probably better than the one on my .25 cal avenger. the shot count is good. the semi pistol grip is very good for shooting offhand. the moderator works well for how cheap it is.

    Things I would have changed:

add sling studs to the front and rear. lighten up the bolt a little bit. include more spare O-rings and seals.

    What others should know:

Please lube the O-rings on the bolt probe, lube the action itself, and keep the end cap clean. after about 200 shots one of the O-rings was torn to sheds and the second one got stuck inside of a magazine. the O-rings did not come with any lube on them whatsoever, but thankfully a spare O-ring was included. if you can afford to spend a little more, I would probably recommend getting a diana stormrider instead.

    Things I liked:

The value for your $ is really good. I got to my house shipped 174. An some change(during that recent sale 13% or 10% off and free shipping). Comes with 2 mags. Has a bigger than 100cc reservoir ( so more shots or power) your choice, just turn the rear hammer spring. Also that is basically a crossman 160 180 2240 QB78 400 old Japanese bobcat, whatever you know what I mean. This thing has major power coming out the box replaces all CO2 or springers if that's what you're looking for that's what I was looking for, but unlike a springer you can actually tone down the power, and unlike a CO2 the air is free. Also the reason for buying this is they don't allow CO2 paintball tanks to be refilled (in California ) they banned it last year it's also hard to get the 12g, so time to switch to HPA or PCP. Oh no leaks holding air. Doesn't have a suicide pressure gauge, like the others in this price range, stoeger Diana spa Artemis.

    Things I would have changed:

So so I don't really have anything to negative to say for the price but since they have this section I will say the barrel was a little off I had to loosen The barrel screws and the barrel band to level it out, and if we're complaining might as well say you have to adjust the trigger too. woo, really there's nothing to complain about. The only reason why this gets four stars is because quality control, not only that nothing's five-star in reality

    What others should know:

Yes this gun is heavy, feels like a real rifle in weight and stout I like it doesn't feel like a toy. I got this in 177 to to shoot all my old Springer ammo and CO2 ammo I like the fact that you can shoot over a thousand FPS and tone it down too about 500 FPS I keep mine at around and even 800,I get 5 clips out of it from 2800psi down to about a thousand psi. I also like to turn it up to full power and put in some of those kvintor blink and flash pellets that explode. with the thousand FPS man it hits Mach 1 for a nice crack and then it hits it's target and explodes it's awesome, I really can't say enough I just plank in the backyard but I say you can do anything with this gun if you want if you're a tinkerer or DIY or a plinker this gun is for you especially if you're an old school crosman guy who likes the 180s 160s 400s QB 78 this is for you new and updated. also totally forgot the clips only work on this gun or their new pistol 2027 they do not work with the old guns

This rifle does not leak air. I'm 71 years old. I use a hand pump to fill the air rifle with air. Over 1,000 .22 caliber pellets have been fired accurately without any issues.

    Things I would have changed:

    NOTHING!

    What others should know:

    Things I liked:

This rifle was accurate out of the box. This is an easy rifle to charge with a hand pump. The 3,000 PSI equals 206 Bar. So far, I've shot 50 Crosman .22 caliber 14.3 gr pellets and 10 H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 gr pellets with this rifle. This is one very powerful rifle. So far, I have only been able to hear the hammer firing. This is a backyard-friendly rifle. Out of the box, the rifle shoots around 830 fps. using 14.3-grain pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

None that I can think of.

    What others should know:

This rifle's energy level is over 23-ft-pounds with 14.3 gr pellets. Be very careful with this rifle.

Wonderful starter PCP. Good build quality, solid, holds pressure well. Sights were dead on at 100' out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

fore end stock clamp needed tightening. the pressure gauge would be better on the side of the fore end stock, not the bottom. a bit fiddley to load in single shot mode, perhaps a loading pen would help.

I do recommend this gun and a friend is ordering one after he tried mine.

    Things I liked:

Great shooter straight out of the box. With minor adjustments. A scope and a few pesky critters out back, I was sighted in and good to go. This my first PCP and its my go to now. Hand pump to 3000 psi in about 4-5 minutes. Then then 1-2 minutes between 2K and 3K. Great feel. Nickle hole groups at 25. No recoil. A bit loud but still backyard and neighbor friendly. Great price also. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to start pcp or just starting out.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe regulated. But its not a game changeer...the price point, I get it.

    What others should know:

There are a couple others out there in the ball park price. But this Beeman Chief II is absolutely the best for all I need. It's my first (I did say first, dang it).

    Things I liked:

It is fun to shoot. It was accurate right out of the box. The option of single shot or magazine is a wonderful option. No need for a scope as it will become a marvelous training gun for the grandbabies. By the way no gun gets 5 stars unless miraculous situations occur.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety, in my opinion, is not user friendly. It works but a minor redesign on the users handle may be more beneficial.

    What others should know:

With the magazine installed, I experienced 2 pellets in the barrel at the same time. This happened multiple times. If you think the same has happened then pull back the bolt, remove the magazine, close the bolt and fire. The gun's maximum air power was just changed and for me both pellets were able to be expelled. If I was not paying attention 3 or 4 pellets may have been placed in the barrel causing other problems. Pay close attention to the bolt when pulling back - pull it all the way or the same thing may happen to you

The moderater doesn't help a great deal in quieting gun. The holes in my magazine do not line up well with the hole in the magazine cover which makes chambering a round very rough. Will contact beeman and hopefully will send me 2 more. Both are this way.

    What others should know:

Overall mostly good value for the money. Will update as to beeman's customer service. Ps have only tried crosman .177 hollow pts which aren't overly accurate. Assume it's just a matter of finding the correct pellet
