Things I liked:

A very forgiving shooter. Likes everything I put through it, but seems to love JSB Exacts and H&N Field Target Trophys the best (3/8" groups at 15 yards with the latter after having been shot less than 200 times; I expect those will shrink further once the spring is broken in). That Rekord trigger is a dream. Excellent finish -- beautiful bluing and wood without a trace of plastic. (Who would expect less from those persnickety Germans?)

Things I would have changed:

A bit more power would be nice, but I can't gripe one iota (the reduced power is exactly why it's a forgiving shooter). A slightly longer barrel and/or forearm would also move the center of gravity slightly forward, balancing the weapon better. Again, I realize I'm nitpicking, but you asked.

What others should know:

Buy now before the cheap potmetal-and-plastic toys that masquerade as adult airguns overwhelm the market.

Things I liked:

Everything, It is a beautiful and well balanced little gun, light weight and easy to cock.I bought this gun for my wife (it would also make a great youth gun ) we enjoy target shooting and plinking in our back yard and she had trouble cocking my Diana 38, this gun cocks with little effort and is extremely accurate right out of the box , she was hitting bulls eyes at 20 yards after 20 rounds with a relatively inexpensive scope, Bushnell rimfire 3x9x40.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing comes to mind

What others should know:

Although I enjoy shooting this gun it's to small for me (I'm 6'3") , My wife is 5"6" and she has no problem with it and loves how light it is.

Nothing! Great lil rifle to walk around in my property with a pluck pest birds!

    What others should know:

Just received my R7. I own some vintage Beeman's..the Vulcan 1st variant, the C1. I wanted to add to my collection so I purchased this lil Weihrauch Beeman R7. The Rekord trigger is awesome! I'd love to find a way to install them in my vintage Beeman's. Very pleased and impressed. My next purchase will be the HW50.

    Things I liked:

How could you not like the R7? Very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a little more lube on the spring would reduce noise but that is minor.

    What others should know:

Not meant to be a large critter killer. Darn good for target practice and general plinking.

    Things I liked:

Got the R7 .177 for my wife. Just a great little gun, very easy to cock and highly accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

If they could somehow get just a little more velocity. My particular rifle is around 7 fpe.

    What others should know:

A short range pinker. Can also take very small game sparrow/rat to 25 yards. To give you an idea of the guns accuracy, a head shot on a rat at 25 yards is an easy shot for me with the rifle rested. Also shoots JSB Exact 8.44 grain and Air Arms 8.4 very accurately. Doesn't have the fps/fpe to maintain great accuracy at longer ranges.

    Things I liked:

This is an absolutely amazing air rifle. The stock is beautifully made and the bluing is deep and rich. It isn't hold sensitive at all compared to other springers on the market. A light hold of the rifle is all you need to shoot one hole groups. I was shooting water bottles, soda cans, and small silhouette targets at 40 yards offhand almost immediately. Serisouly, the accuracy of this little springer rivals some of my pcp's! This is definitely and heirloom quality rifle like everyone says it was. I definitely plan on buying either more Beeman R7's or Weihrauch HW30's in the future.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I would change is the fact that I waited this long to buy one!!

    What others should know:

Buy one now. Don't hesitate. I know the price tag is steep, but figure it out. Use Affirm to buy on credit, sell your plasma, stand on the street corner, whatever. Just buy it. You won't regret it.

Best low power springer on the market imo .Easy to shoot all day yet enough energy to take out small pest within 35 yards. The accuracy will amaze you and its not very hold sensitive like high power guns

    Things I would have changed:

threaded barrel with mod for cocking handle fiber open sites (old eyes haha) Walnut stock though price would increase

NO plastic, this gun it very accurate. This is a gun to pass down to the grandchildren. I own several spring rifles and this is by far my favorite. It cocks very easy and is loved by my 9 year old. Gun is very small compared to others I own but at over 6ft and 300lbs its fits me good enough.

    Things I would have changed:

Safe button can not be returned to safe after being turned off.

    What others should know:

Gun is all metal and wood, feels like a firearm. Small in size but is a blast to shoot.

    Things I liked:

Everyone needs a Beeman R 7. What a well made accurate little rifle. Just gorgeous. For a back yard pellet rifle its hard to beat. It easily gets shot far more than anything else i have. I know the price is higher than in previous years but still well worth it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

I could feel the spring crunch a little for the first 20 or so shot cycles but that went completely away

    Everything, especially the trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

I am 77 years old and a lifelong shooter, including as a competitive handgun competitor for the U.S. Army as well as our local PD. I shoot several PCP guns and a myriad of of other Airguns and wanted something something simple and handy. I decided on a Springer, read all of BBs blogs and decided on this R7. It is beautiful in all respects. It is relatively compact, beautiful to see, quiet, accurate and not picky on pellets. It loves premiers between 7.4 and 7.9 Gr. I will try JSBs, too, but will probably stick with the Premier 7.9s for my go-to pellet. The report from the 7.9s is noticeably quieter than with the 7.4s. The trigger on this gun is superb, and I have not adjusted mine as it is great right of the box. The iron sights supplied are quite nice, but I scoped mine. Better for old eyes. It is not a magnum, it is not fancy, but it is a keeper.

    Things I liked:

The R7 I received is a very nice rifle. Metal and woodwork are finished flawlessly. Accuracy after a half tin of Crossman Premiers (tin box) is great. 25 to 30 shots group under a dime at 50 feet. The rifle undoubtedly can do better, but my 76 year old eyes probably can't.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

The rifle is advertised as a youth model. It, however, is a full size rifle. it is short and light, but certainly not too small for adults to shoot comfortably. It is easier to cock than my HW95 and seems to be less hold sensitive. The R7 is simply fun to shoot.

    Things I liked:

Size, weight, quality construction, easy to cock. and accurate as can be. Of all of the pellets that I have shot through it it has a favorite, JSB 7.33 RS. It's a beautiful little rifle that you just can't put it down, I found right after I got it and was dighting it in that I went through a half a tin ot pellets and didn't realize it. Did i say that the trigger was the best there is? no well there I just did.

    Things I would have changed:

This section I have to leave blank, I wouldn't change a thing except maybe make it an option where you could get a nice Turkish Curly Walnut stock on it LOL.

    What others should know:

Beware that if you purchase one your pellet bill will be going up and it will be nothing to order ten cans at a time. Oh, and don't put a regular scope on it I finally shot a scope to pieces(inside) with this little thing, get a scope rated for a springer.

    Things I liked:

Beautifully finished, precision engineered rifle. Well balanced and a pleasure to shoot. This is an adult air rifle in every sense-- not necessarily for youths, despite its compact size. High velocity and muzzle energy are features for the firearms realm, in my opinion. The R7 is easy to cock, supremely accurate and deadly on nuisance pests, within a reasonable size and range. This is the ultimate break barrel air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Rifle is overpriced at $400. This is old school technology and should retail for about $50 less, similar to the companion HW30 offered by many retailers.

    What others should know:

The R7 is well suited to adults, unlike its twin (the new HW30) which has a slightly different stock design requiring the rifle to be set up higher on the shoulder when using iron sights. Advantage to the R7.

    Things I liked:

yes, again, weihrauch (beeman) does it beautifully. everything about this rifle is gorgeous. The stock(furniture), the weight (very light - great for youth), the solid feel, like I've been saying over and over again - tough to beat German engineering! Accuracy is superb, cocking effort is negligible (about 15lbs.) Velocities are around 650 - 745fps @ the muzzle... leadfree alloy pellets (5.25gr.) are about 745fps and are very accurate to about 20 yards (quarter size groups) lead pellets (7.0)gr. Are about 650fps and better groups out to 25yards. All in all a fantastic value for the $

    Things I would have changed:

actually , when it comes to all Weihrauch products I can't think of anything I would change. I think their engineers are very talented people and leave no stone unturned when it comes to quality of build , functionality, accuracy, etc... Probably, the only thing I can think of is - I would like to see someone come out with a suitable, high quality, moderator for this rifle and for some of the other models. Something aesthetically beautiful that would match the rifle bluing.

    What others should know:

Again, with a quality rifle such as this - I would stick to a high quality scope and rings, such as Hawke Airmax compact. And always shoot safely. If childrenwith adult supervision

    Things I liked:

Much easier to cock than the R9. Can still easily dispatch red, gray and fox squirrels as well as rabbits out to 50 ft with a well placed headshot. Lead free H&N barracudas or anything above 6 grains are perfect for this role.

    Things I would have changed:

Everything about this spring airgun is great.

    What others should know:

If you want a stronger air rifle for hunting anything beyond squirrels and at ranges out to 100 ft, I'd recommend the .22 R9 instead.

    Things I liked:

Gorgeous rifle and very well built. I have shot all kinds of pellets and it loves the JSB 8.44. With these at 25 yards i always shoot under 1/2 inch and lots of times .33 and occasionally .25 in. The only time i go outside of these is when I try a new pellet or a screw on the gun comes loose and even as light as the recoil is on this gun it still vibrates screws loose. The trigger guard almost fell off the other day. It is sitting in the gun safe while the Loktite drys.

    Things I would have changed:

Sell the gun with no iron sights, barrel shroud, Picatinni rails and gas piston. Now that would be my ideal guns. I did notice a change in pellet placement the other day as the weather got colder (around 29 degrees.

    What others should know:

This gun is sweet to shoot and great for back yard plinking and target practice. If shooting over 25 yards you will have to adjust for pellet drop at least I do with my JSB 8.44 Exact pellets. It isn't the perfect air rifle that honor goes to my Sig ASP20 in .177. Love that gun. Just wish Sig made one similar to this R7.
