The R7 is 5" shorter than the R1 and over 2.5 lbs. lighter. Don't worry about marring the finish, because the satin finish on the stained beech stock resists minor scratches. Sight up your target with the open sights, or mount a scope 11mm dovetail grooves in the receiver. The checkered pistol grip gives you a solid hold, while the rubber buttpad adds even more control. Like the R1, this gun has the famous Rekord trigger, giving you a predictable, crisp, adjustable let-off. The R7 is a German-made engineering marvel that will deliver decades of shooting pleasure. With a 13.75" length of pull, this is a comfortable shooter for most adults and younger shooters alike.
Don't forget to pick up a variety of recommended pellets, which are listed in the AMMO link. Select appropriate accessories, including scopes and targets, by clicking on the ACCESSORIES link.
Helpful resources:
If good things come in small packages, then the R7 is a really good thing! Compact in size but not in performance, the Beeman R7 is often called the "little R1." It's that good. Other than size, there are very few differences between the R1 powerhouse and the R7. Through the double-jointed cocking lever, the R7 delivers a reduced cocking effort (almost half the R1). That makes this the perfect gun for smaller shooters, women or anyone who wants an easy-cocking spring-piston gun.

This is an absolutely amazing air rifle. The stock is beautifully made and the bluing is deep and rich. It isn't hold sensitive at all compared to other springers on the market. A light hold of the rifle is all you need to shoot one hole groups. I was shooting water bottles, soda cans, and small silhouette targets at 40 yards offhand almost immediately. Serisouly, the accuracy of this little springer rivals some of my pcp's! This is definitely and heirloom quality rifle like everyone says it was. I definitely plan on buying either more Beeman R7's or Weihrauch HW30's in the future.
Things I would have changed:The only thing I would change is the fact that I waited this long to buy one!!
What others should know:Buy one now. Don't hesitate. I know the price tag is steep, but figure it out. Use Affirm to buy on credit, sell your plasma, stand on the street corner, whatever. Just buy it. You won't regret it.

Best low power springer on the market imo .Easy to shoot all day yet enough energy to take out small pest within 35 yards. The accuracy will amaze you and its not very hold sensitive like high power guns
Things I would have changed:threaded barrel with mod for cocking handle fiber open sites (old eyes haha) Walnut stock though price would increase
What others should know:Enjoy

Are parts readily available for this rifle?
Would non-lead pellets (approx 5gr) be too light to shoot in a R7 without damaging the rifle?
Where is Beeman R7 & R9 manufactured? Do they use China Parts? Are they made in China & assembled in USA?...I DON'T Want anything to do with China...Thank You!
The R series are from Germany, where they source the parts i do not know.

Got the R7 .177 for my wife. Just a great little gun, very easy to cock and highly accurate.
Things I would have changed:If they could somehow get just a little more velocity. My particular rifle is around 7 fpe.
What others should know:A short range pinker. Can also take very small game sparrow/rat to 25 yards. To give you an idea of the guns accuracy, a head shot on a rat at 25 yards is an easy shot for me with the rifle rested. Also shoots JSB Exact 8.44 grain and Air Arms 8.4 very accurately. Doesn't have the fps/fpe to maintain great accuracy at longer ranges.
