    Things I liked:

This gun is amazing, I received it yesterday, it is my first PCP air rifle, and it is far better than all of my spring guns. I usually don't write reviews on products I've only had for a day, but I'm pretty confident this gun will shoot the same as it does now a year from now. I bought this gun in .22 caliber for squirrel hunting, and I bought it with the intentions that it would out-perform my springers. It does. This gun is VERY light, which to some may be a good or bad thing, personally I like a little heft to my guns but not a problem. I was a little concerned that I would have problems filling it with air using the included pump, but it is very straight forward and easy to do. The pump included with the gun seems like a quality pump, and I have put 100-200 rounds through the gun with no problems filling it whatsoever. Its very nice that the gun includes open sights, its just nice to have that option if that's more your cup of tea. However, this gun REALLY DOES beg to be scoped. I'll get to the details on that below.

    Things I would have changed:

I do not like the plastic trigger, and the plastic trigger guard. There is a rattly part in the trigger, which bugs me a lot. Also the trigger pull could be just a tad lighter. I won't dock a star on the gun's rating for any of that though. That's it for cons.

    What others should know:

I have achieved very good accuracy from this gun so far. I mounted a leapers 3-9X40 scope which was around $110 with shipping. I have tried mounting the exact same scope on 2 other spring rifles, both rifles destroyed the same model scope. Not so with the Discovery. I simply snugged the bolts down on the scope mounts, and the scope doesn't shift at all through the mounts, and the POI is the same EVERY SHOT. This was amazing to me, something I was never capable of achieving with spring rifles. It is important to not over-tighten the screws, be generous to them, this is a PCP so you don't have to worry about recoil. This gun does operate exceptionally well with crossman premier hollow points(14.6 grain I think) however the best pellets hands down are the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavies(18.13gr). Take advantage of Pyramyd Air's great deal like I did, buy 3 tins of pellets and get the fourth free. That way your getting a lot of pellets which you can only purchase via the internet, and your only paying for shipping once; Rather than buying a tin now, then buying another tin later, and continuously paying for shipping every time. It just makes sense. Anyhow, with these pellets I achieved a 1" group(all pellets do go through same hole). If I was better with scopes and I had more experience with PCP's, I could narrow that down to a 1/2" group easily. So if you're fed up with spring rifles and are looking for a better and more realiable alternative, do yourself a favor and buy the Discovery.

    Things I liked:

Overall fit and finish is very good for a PCP at this price.Pump works great,105 strokes from 0 to 2000 and at age 78 I had no problem pumping it up. Both gauges agree too! Very accurate! I mounted a BSA 4X32AO and grabbed a tin of Premier hollowpoints. After sightin I shot a nickel size group of ten at 22yds.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. A little creepy and heavier than I like. Hopefully it will get better with use.

    What others should know:

Good hunting rifle in .22 cal. I have taken a squirrel and a crow so far and it does the job. Not a quiet gun but no louder than my 34P.

    Things I liked:

Ease of use! Great shooter right out of the box. It makes me wonder why I bought expensive RWS rifles before trying a US made one! Accurate easy to charge light weight can be carried all day! I would recommend this item to anyone a absolute winner.

    Things I would have changed:

nothing don't ruin a good thing.

    What others should know:

Do not overcharge! Do not store empty! (I refer to the air pressure, not the chamber). If you like longer range targets ok BUT raise the front sight at the top of target (as a view only do not adjust it that way). Keep it lubed and clean!

    Things I liked:

Probably one of the best things about this rifle is that it is designed to operate on 2000 psi air, making it very easy to pump with the included hand pump. It is accurate with many different pellets but seems to shoot best with the JSB jumbo heavy 18.13 gr 22 pellets. I am getting about 22 good shots off of one fill.

    Things I would have changed:

One thing that seems like it could be changed is the trigger.

    What others should know:

This is a great air rifle for anyone looking to have one gun to do it all. It is a great way to get into the hobby.

    Things I liked:

this rifle is way more accurate than the benjamin trail np i previously owned.what a joy to shoot a rifle that will reliably group pellets. don't have to worry about how you hold or rest the gun to shoot like the trail np being so hold sensetive.

    Things I would have changed:

trigger pull is way to hard, not much creep, breaks pretty crisp, but just pulls hard. can be fixed though by some mods.

    What others should know:

would of been 5 star overall rateing if trigger was better

    Things I liked:

This is a fine rifle. It hits hard enough to kill rabbits at 50 yards. And has better accuracy than you'll expect to see on a gun of this price. As for the pump. It is better than normal too. Has smooth action and fills the gun about 50% faster than a friend of mine's pump on his gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights leave a lot to be desired. The rear sight was not square. But I planned and did put a scope on it and so that is a mute point to me. This gun is smore accurate than those sights anyway.

    What others should know:

This was a great kit. Gives you everything you need to shoot and keep shooting.

    Things I liked:

This Benjamin Disco is my first PCP rifle (Have a large collection of Hi End Springers, I find this to be a very good light weight shoulder fired Air gun even with and added 4x16x40 AO Scope and Bi-Pod. I have yet to find a Pellet that it does not like, but with that said I have been using the Crossman Heavies 10.5grms and they hit the target with some power behind them.

    Things I would have changed:

I know this gun was made as and entry leval into the PCP market by Crossman/ Benjamin. I would change out the factory trigger assembly with one from the Benji Marauder for a much cleaner and shapper trigger pull. Factory trigger pull to me, even though funcutional is a bit on the spongiy side making it hard to hit the same spot on the target, and does not give you the same trigger pull with every shoot. Each trigger pull has its own feel to me and this makes it hard to hit the target in the same spt after each shoot. Yes this is their entry leval PCP but a few tweaks would be well worth the price.

    Things I liked:

The gun is light which is great when carrying it in the field or for younger shooters. Accuracy is great once you find a pellet that it likes. Overall quality is very good.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the hose on the pump longer. Use the same trigger as the Benjamin Marauder.

    What others should know:

This package is a great bargain and leaves no excuse for not getting into a PCP air gun.

I really like the stock on this gun and of course the accuracy is outstanding. The open sights are also nice even though I put a scope on.

    Things I would have changed:

I don't care for the trigger guard but thats about it for this gun. I think for the price the company could of added a recoil pad.

    What others should know:

    Accurate fun gun to shoot.

    Things I liked:

This is my first PCP. This gun packs quite a punch. I purchased the .177 version. Using Air Arms 10.334 grain pellets it still provides 10.1 Ft/lbf of energy at 65 yards. You can get 25-30 accurate shots between 1-2000 psi. It is very easy to pump. I would not want to pump a different gun to 3000psi. It would be quite a workout, but this gun provides some exercise, but not enough to tire you out, and I am 62 years old so I know it shouldn't be a problem for anyone over 13. I won't be buying any more springers. The difference is amazing. I also don't want to go through the hassle of having a tank so this rifle is perfect for me. If I purchase any more airguns it will be the Maurader since it is also less than 3000 psi.

    Things I would have changed:

Provide a ridge on the breech that would make it easier to slide the pellet in straight. There are no discernible stages on the trigger. It's stiff, but the pull is not too bad. I know there are mods for this, but it is adequate enough for me. Also, as mentioned in previous reviews this is not a neighborhood friendly rifle. It is almost as loud as a 22 rimfire, or a high-powered nail gun.

    What others should know:

I don't know if every pump is different in terms of strokes, but I can tell you with my Benjamin pump you will need 60 pumps if you take 30 shots, and 55 pumps if you take 25 shots. I noticed in the Tom Gaylord prototype review he mentioned you would get shot per stroke of the pump, but at least with my pump it is 2 strokes per shot. I will add some chronograph strings after this review is posted.

    Things I liked:

This gun is overall an excellent air rifle. It only took me about 5-7 minutes to sight it in and it is dead on every time. Very accurate and very powerful.

    Things I would have changed:

The gun is fairly loud. Personally, I didn't even notice until I saw videos of other PCP air rifles and heard how quiet they were.

    What others should know:

Excellent gun for the price. Make sure to get the package that includes the air pump if you don't already have a way to fill up your gun. Pumping takes a little time and strength, but definitely worth it.

    Things I liked:

Very nice rifle. Appears well built. Both the gun and pump function as described. The fiber optic sights are nice. Shoots very well in box stock form.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice to have a metal trigger. I found the blade to be a bit cheap feeling compared to the rest of the gun. But I found the trigger pull and length to be very easy to get used to. No other complaints.

    What others should know:

This is my first PCP type gun and I am very pleased with my purchase. I appreciate crosman/benjamin offering this package to allow people to get into PCPs without having to spend thousands of dollars. You can buy this package and a tin of pellets and be shooting in no time. No need to buy fill adapters, tanks, or sights. I've enjoyed shooting mine and it seems to shoot H&N Field target trophy pellets the best, mine is a .22cal. Hand pumping does take some effort but is not difficult by any means. If you are interested In precharged guns but don't want to break the bank to get one, this is the setup for you. If you plan on installing a scope, be sure to get high mounting rings to allow yourself room to load pellets.

    Things I liked:

My 10 year old daughter loves her Discovery! It is light weight, looks good, shoots with high velocity, and produces a nice "bang" (she really likes that part). Indoors, I'd wear ear protection but outside the noise is fine. My daughter uses it for field target shooting and she handles it independently during the 4.5 hour matches without tiring out. She can't use the hand pump as she doesn't weigh enough but I can get it up to 2000 psi from 1000 psi with about 60 easy strokes of the pump (I weigh 165 lbs).

    Things I would have changed:

The hand pump locking connector catches a little and doesn't connect smoothly but I've always been able to get it to work. The rifle psi gauge and the pump gauge don't match when pumping. I'm wondering if the rifle gauge is calibrated to show higher pressure than it really contains. Some more experienced people told me this is common and to trust the pump or tank gauge. During matches, I have to recharge at least every 18 shots. I use a $400 Benjamin tank for that which works great. I don't use the pump in the field as I'm worried about sucking up dust and it just seems awkward to pump during a competition.

    What others should know:

My daughter uses it for field target shooting and I don't know yet whether or not the accuracy is ideal for this application. It is too early to tell and we will experiment with different pellets and see. She could certainly grow from this into a 7 lbs Benjamin Marauder which will certainly work for field target shooting.

No plastic, full metal and wood very nice gun and a great small game hunting rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull isn't that comfortable I hade to have mine adjusted.

    What others should know:

This is my favourite rabbit hunting rifle I have shot about 30 rabbits with this gun and I never had any problems with it. Great gun I recommend it. I also recommend buying it here they have the best deals on it. Pyramyd air is the place to get it! :)

    Things I liked:

    finish,wood, and the price.

    Things I would have changed:

the pump should have a filter.furthermore, see comment below...

    What others should know:

this gun needs to be customized...smooth trigger, bigger hole transfer port, dual barrel band, bigger valve hole for valve stem,a stronger long nickel bolt and handle, crowning of barrel, power adjuster, and additional o-ring between transfer port and barrel.with these, you will have an excellent accuracy and power better than the original stock.my rifle has no parts CAK-008 and 1761-004 as seen in benjamin disco diagram.might be something's wrong with crosman's quality control.so i will give this rifle a 2 stars.

    Things I liked:

Great, great gun. Build quality is excellent. A blast to shoot. At 2,000 psi I am still getting between 25-35 shots before I have to stop and refill. I have not taken it hunting yet, but I wouldn't hesitate. It's quite accurate. Not as quiet as a springer or nitro piston, but still not that bad. Pumping to 2,000 psi was not hard at all.

    Things I would have changed:

I honestly can't think of a single thing I would change.

    What others should know:

This is a great introduction to PCP airguns. Fantasic rifle, and the pump combo is a great value. I have not had any issues with my Benjamin pump.
