Things I liked:

Quiet, accurate, smooth trigger, consistent regulated pressure, ease of recharging, ease of loading. Price point is very good. Read reviews, watched videos.....when it finally got here, it lived up to the hype. Quiet....accurate.

Things I would have changed:

10 shot mags....not enough, 1 mag is not enough ( I purchased 2 extra mags and probably should have bought 5 additional) Stock is heavy and bulky, I ordered the wood stock. I have not decided if this is good or bad yet.

What others should know:

I am a poor judge of air guns as I have only owned a Beeman break barrel previously, my background is designing AR10 and AR15's then machining thousands of ea in a legal FFL production setting. I reload .223 and .308 so I can shoot often. Back to the Marauder, I am truly shocked how quiet and accurate this rifle is. I have a problem with starlings which is why I started searching, a friend of mine owned a .177 Marauder and is an avid air gunner, I still went further and spent hours researching before buying. Other than waiting so long (Covid Time) to receive this rifle, I am not disappointed in the least. I fitted it with an ATN Day/Night scope 3-14x (not as clear as regular glass, but has other fun features) and sighted in the rifle. I am barely a sub MOA shooter with the AR's, (I am old) but this rifle makes even me look good. I thought the 5 shot test target that came with the rifle was an exaggeration, happy to say it was correct.

    Things I liked:

Accurate. Tight groups. Nice trigger. Feels well made and looks nice. A joy to shoot from tripod or bench rest. Cleanly taking pocket gophers from my garden at 25 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control from the factory >>> The barrel band was really tweaked off center when it arrived.

    What others should know:

You might need to fiddle with the barrel a bit to get it seated properly so it floats like it is supposed to. I was having a shifting point of impact that seemed to correlate to ambient temperature until I completely took the barrel off, reinstalled it, and made sure that it wasn't touching the barrel band. Tight groups now and no longer having a shifting point of impact. Some folks use tape or foam under the barrel band to stabilize the barrel, but then it doesn't float. I found that actually made the shifting point of impact more erratic. My two cents.

    Things I liked:

    Accuracy the most, its outstanding.

    Things I would have changed:

The advertisement about80 shots per fill is a bit miss leading. The Field and Target is a Pyramidair thing not a Benjamin product as it is a Regulated Maurader. Either way it should state the differences in intended use, target or field stating the amount of shots for each intended use. After shooting this rifle the first time I shot two and a half magazines 25 Shots!! Quite disappointed to say the least. Tried to get in touch with Pyramidair service or customer support, left a message but no return call. Ok, so I called Benjamin, outstandin service from Kevin!! He explained that target shooting and hunting will make difference in the amount of shots due to regulator setting or air allowed thru valve. Being I am hunting more with this rifle the regulator seams to be set up quite high from the factory which is good for me but if youre going to use this for target s only you may have to send it back to Benjamin so they can adjust the regulator. I now shoot 5 mags thru it before fillin

    What others should know:

Not at all mad in anyway at Pyramidair just know that the regulator in this rifle my need to be adjusted by the factory. Which is NOT a big deal other than sending it in for a few weeks.

    Things I liked:

Excellent fit, finish, and accuracy on the marauder field and target with Lothar barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

The Benjamin hand pump is horrible. The pump failed halfway through the first fill, following directions exactly, as I had read previous nightmare stories on the pump. Of no fault to pyramid. Benjamin, do better, we want quality.

    What others should know:

The Benjamin hand pump is essentially a paper weight.

    Things I liked:

Stole this Marauder Field and Target with a 20% Off Benjamin sale from PA. Free hand pump as well. The LW barrel upgrade added nominal $. An authentic target rifle, beautiful with a modern classical look. Amazingly small groups (sub half-inch) 5-shots @ 50 yards (see photo). This is as good as it gets for ANY $ airgun in this power range. Included a very detailed factory test target- something I’d expect from a small-batch custom manufacturer. Exceptional trigger even though heavy for me at 1.4lbs. Amazing beautiful stock! As nice as a vintage walnut Walther or better! Love the cheekpiece!). All is so well done! 72 hr. Leak Test! Totally adjustable power plant! Easy to work on (WARNING: Dismantling will void your warranty!!). Nearly silent! Regulator: NO velocity curve!! Best precision accuracy airgun bargain- period! Thanks, Crosman/Benjamin, and PA!!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really. Include a degasser tool + single shot tray? I would pay extra for these. “Blocky” shape of the trigger guard on the Gen II? Upon observation- it really begs to be like this given the very long trigger blade within. That latter gives you confidence taking shots with its sureness of feel. Bold angular lines on the trigger guard go perfectly with the beefy, rugged raw American look of the stock and everything else- how great is that?!! It’s good to remember that some of the finest iconic target air rifles of all time including the Walther LGR and Feinwerkbau 300s Olympic match rifles had plastic guards. They appear like new unlike most metal ones after decades of regular use. It’s our country’s turn to make such a superior yet classic air rifle with a similar feature.

    What others should know:

Obey all instructions! Try different pellets to determine best. If you use a hand pump, elevate your gun so water builds up in hose and not air tank (Don’t create a squirt gun). Go slow, and take breaks- not just for you, but your pump- don’t heat it up. Learn how to overhaul your pump as well (Same WARNING as above). Better yet, charge with dry air or Nitrogen. All PCPs WILL eventually leak. Unlike many PCPs, this one is easy to overhaul. Prepare to learn. Use only pure high-pressure silicone grease- no petroleum!! Fixed my old Gen I .177 with O rings from hardware store. Common leak areas for Marauders seem to include the front inlet check valve as well as the pressure gauge fitting. Plumber’s Teflon tape seals threads well.

Love this rifle, it just feels great the first time I picked it up, I just know it’s what was exactly what I wanted. From mounting the scope to attaching the bipod, everything just fell into place. And I couldn’t be happier with how accurate it is.

    Things I would have changed:

It’s a beautiful wooden stock, but it could use a couple more coats of finish.

    What others should know:

Go to YouTube and watch the video of how to load the magazine, instruction manual just don’t quite do it for me.

Even just out of the box, this rifle has a smooth action and trigger. It is dead-on accurate. At the range, I get a lot of attention because it's that accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish Crosman would include two magazines.

    What others should know:

This rifle is fairly heavy, but it still shoulders and swings well. With a scope, it has good balance.

    Things I liked:

Am impressed with thus gun. My primary concern was finding a quiet shooting .177; the Marauder's shrouded barrel quite effectively suppresses sound. The gun is on the heavy side but solid and well balanced. Tank fills quickly and efficiently; pressure gauge is recessed on the underside of the stock, protected from accidental bumping/damage, with easy to read color coated gauge marks. Great having a pre-loaded 10 shots mag. Although still breaking it in, it shoots accurately so far out of the box, and is very happy with Crosman Premier 7.9 grain ammo.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazine! A major quality disappointment. Cheap plastic, clearly fails to rise up to the robustness of the rifle. My mag, after a few sessions, is already failing to line up rounds properly for loading. Not satisfactory, at all.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy with new Crosman barrel, craftsmanship, tunability, ease of use, trigger, very quiet, Picatinny rail. PA's 10 for 10, packaging and quick shipping. This is a quality PCP at a competitive price.

    Things I would have changed:

Ability to achieve higher energy. Would like to see 26 fpe (acknowledging a lower shot count).

    What others should know:

Factory settings gave 862 ft/sec using 11.9 grain on the 10 for 10 test. After cleaning the barrel I used 14.3 CPHP with excellent accuracy at ~770 ft/sec (20fpe). The factory setting gave about 60-65 shots between 2.8kpsi and 1.8kpsi. My range varies between 35-75 yards. I was consistently hitting targets at all ranges even 1" targets at 70 yds. I am using a 3x16x40 UTG accushot. Using a Chronograph I was able to tune to an average of 852 ft/sec using the 14.3 CPHP getting 55 accurate shots between 3kpsi and 1.8kpsi (23 fpe). Briefly I had a tune that gave 862 ft/sec but lost it in tweaking and could not get it back. Maybe just a group of lighter pellets or a host of many other variables that go into this?? Having several break barrels and two other PCP's the Marauder quality, craftmanship, accuracy, and trigger are at the top. Love this rifle and have been using it every day for a month with no issues. Extremely happy! This rifle far exceeds my marksmanship abilities.

    Things I liked:

Everything on this gun I liked. . . Good feel for the wood, SILENT shooting. Accurate with cheap Crossman hollow points. Good number of shots between fill-ups. Great trigger. . smooth as silk.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add a single shot tray to this gun. One magazine really is not enough for this gun. A single shot tray Is a great addition to this gun. I ended up ordering one for it. I wish it had more power. Granted this gun is a hybrid between hunting and target, I think it should be able to obtain close to 1000fps in 22cal. The 830fps does fantastic though. Fix the barrel band. . . It is loose, and that will give you different point of impacts.

    What others should know:

830fps is what this gun puts out. It doesn't seem to be very pellet picky. the JSB RS pellets flew extremely well out of this gun, and the cheapy Crossman hollow points did extremely well too. It is a little heavy to be carrying around, but not that bad. The barrel band was a tad larger than the barrel. Granted this was probably for harmonics of the barrel, but what I ended up doing, is taking a piece of cardboard from a Pop Tart box and sliding it under the band to tighten the barren/shroud against it. When I looked at the band, the shroud/barrel was sitting on the bottom, so I put the shim over the top part. POI is now constant. Put a good scope on it. C0cking it is rather stiff and hard.

    Things I liked:

Absolutely beautiful stocks with great ergonomics. Decent accuracy, but nothing like Shotter1721 got from his.

    Things I would have changed:

Better quality control of internals, better leak testing before shipment.

    What others should know:

I bought one in .177 LW and .22 with Crosman barrel, as well as a .22 armada. Both my F & T marauders leak right out of the box, the armada didn't. Grouping for all 3 is sufficient for pesting, and the .177 LW barrel isn't more accurate than the .22 Crosman Barrel, but the LW does seem to have fewer flyers. The choke in the .22 is so tight I have to use the .20 setup of my patchworm to fit through the barrel without extreme resistance. literally stretched the patchworm trying to get it through the choke when using the .22 sleeve. After comparing them to the armada, I wish I would have just ordered 3 Armada's lol. 1" groups @ 50 are doable with any of them without much difficulty using pellets that the barrels like (minus flyers.)

    Things I liked:

So far so good, and I lucked into the nicest stock I have ever owned. 10.5 Crosman pellets group plenty good @ 30yd, and trigger can be set light enough (remove spring from under grub screw) to make a difference on group tightness.

    Things I would have changed:

2nd gauge to watch see pressure, externally adjustable reg, larger plenum, side lever cocking like is so popular, and higher capacity magazines. The .177 pellets are so far apart placing the slots in the mags closer together would nearly double the capacity in .177

    What others should know:

Pistol grip section is narrow and very easy to get your hand around, shoulders great and is plenty quiet for backyards unless you live in an area where guns offend people by sight. Run a good scope, 24x is sensible, the LW barrel reg'd versions ave no problem keeping up with my $2k FX guns so the better you can see your target, the better your grouping will be. MOA is no problem in good conditions with the right pellet.

    Things I liked:

With the Lothar Walther barrel I've found it to be very accurate which was of prime importance to me. I very much like the Turkish walnut stock appearance. The shot count before recharging is quite impressive and only takes a few minutes to refill on my compressor.

    Things I would have changed:

I found the stock finish to be disappointing in that it had sharp unfinished edges around the area of the adjustable cheek piece, also the wood lacked a real finish with rather a rough feel as if the wood had been oiled but not polished and this left the wood fibers standing up. I found the bolt action very stiff to start with, this eased up a little after about 500 plus shots but it will never be as comfortable as a side lever that I have on other PCP's

    What others should know:

It is a very quiet air gun, but to improve it for garden use I installed a Donny FL adapter and Tanto moderator resulting in a reading of 70 dB at 10 feet in front of the muzzle. The fuzzy feeling wood stock was corrected by removing the stock and applying a quality wax polish and buffing thoroughly. This is not a light gun by any means, add a scope and it's pretty heavy, thankfully it does come with sling swivels installed for when out walking the fields.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, consistency, shot count, and quality.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see a Marauder with a setup similar to the Air Venturi Avenger, with both a pressure and regulator gauge. As well as an easily adjustable regulator and hammer spring.

    What others should know:

This gun is heavy! I like the weight for target shooting, but for hunting it will get heavy really fast. I'm stacking almost any pellet out to 50 yards. 10 shot average with .22 15.89gr JSB Hades is 826fps and 24fpe.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I want to start out by admiring the beauty of this rifle. I just recently purchased the new version of the Gen 2 marauder Field and Target with the LW barrel and the walnut stock is just gorgeous. To clarify for some of you, the newer version of this stock is as pictured with the wooden adjustable cheek riser unlike the older version with the plastic cheek riser. Now for the performance of this rifle. Out of the box without adjusting the hammer spring and stroke, this rifle is definitely capable of keeping pretty much any .22 pellet in the 14-21gr. range within a 1" circle at 30 yards. I of course had to tinker with the adjustments, so instead of getting around 80 shots from 3k down to roughly 14k I get about 55 shots but it is now grouping tighter with slightly higher FPS than stock. I would definitely recommend this air rifle to someone who appreciates precision air rifles without spending over 1k on an FX, Daystate, etc.

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I would change which is just a personal preference of mine anyways is the shape of the trigger. The trigger pull/weight is really nice but I like more of a curved trigger as opposed to the straighter trigger that comes on this rifle. Anyways, that is honestly the only "complaint" I have of this rifle which says a lot since I can be a picky person when it comes to my rifles ;)

    What others should know:

For first-time PCPers, it takes about 5-10 mins to fill this air reservoir up with a hand pump since it is only 215cc @ 3k psi. On my hand pump it takes about 100 pumps to go from 14k up to 3k and it isn't really THAT bad as a lot of people make it out to be.
