    Things I liked:

I was looking for a very 'quiet' air rifle and Pyramid Air recommended this (amongst 4) and this was ~$70 less than the others. I read reviews and was sufficiently concerned about the trigger to simultaneously order one from Charliedatuna. I received the rifle first and the first few cockings required a lot of effort (say 60 lbs) but by the 4th shot this had fallen in half. Similarly the first few shots were quite noisy but still significantly less than my RWS 54. The scope is excellent and within 6 shots I was hovering within an 1" or so of a quarter size bullseye at 50' handheld. The trigger was, as advertised, terrible and I felt I needed to pull it to Toledo (we live on the east coast) before it would fire. The replacement trigger turned night into day and was an incredible improvement. Now with the Beeman Silver Bear ~13 gr hollow points, after 80 or so shots, I can put all shots easily within a dime size target at 50' handheld. At 25' and 100' the shots are still amazingly right on target in the same area. This does not hold true if pellet weight is increased. For example, a 20gr pellet at 50' now shoots about 2" high. The rifle is very quiet, less than an industrial stapler, very accurate, easy to handle and cock. The guys at the club were so impressed with it that three of them immediately ordered their own after just shooting it once or twice. The shroud really works as does the Nitro gas chamber. No boing or spring vibration. A real pleasure to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger as noted. The extent of the improvement is surprisingly great and far more than one would expect physically comparing the two triggers.

    What others should know:

Don't bother with anything other than the 13 gr Silver Bear hollow points for .22 - the rifle 'loves' those

    Things I liked:

This thing is built very solid; and receiver -piston area is well machined out of straight steel stock. Great quality control for being made in china and very well made hinge where barrel breaks. This thing has amazing accuracy I was shooting dime size groups at 50 ft. with rws super hollow point's. Best by for the money.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a lighter scope since the gun is already 8lbs to start with and scope weighs 1lb, and as everyone says a better crisp trigger.

    What others should know:

Clean the barrel every 100 shots or so and with high grade ammo you'll consistently be able to shoot 1/2inch groups.

    Things I liked:

Great value, accurate, good materials, powerful and low cost of entry. Free sling is a bonus.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger quality not on par with the rest of the rifle.

    What others should know:

Been very happy with the purchase, a lot more knock down power than expected. Main reason for purchase was for pest control around the house, mostly squirrels and chipmunks. But to my surprise, I took out a coon that was tearing up our deck. One shot in the head at 32 yards, it dropped and only struggled for about 8-10 seconds and finally stopped. Very impressed with the quality and accuracy with the rifle for the low cost of entry, I’m able to get quarter groupings at 35 yards with the old trigger (which was heavy and not smooth). Replaced it with the GRT III trigger (highly recommended) and the accuracy much improved, I’m now getting quarter groupings at 55 yards. Currently no bipod on the market (barrel fit) will work on this rifle due to the barrel size. Any recommendation?

    Things I liked:

weight of the gun / quality of the components used in the construction of the gun / the minimal sound when firing / pistol grip / the power / the price

    Things I would have changed:

the scope: it is awesome but the one problem is when I was sighting it in @ 25 yards I had to put the elevation adjustment as high as it would go and when I put the crosshairs on the target the pellet would still hit 6" to the bottom of the target. I was able to compensate because the scope uses a "Mil-dot" reticle so I used the point between the last dot and solid line to the bottom of the vertical line of the reticle and then was able to hit right on target.

    What others should know:

Pyramydair is awesome! I called up Crossman from a # i got on their website to ask if the gun came with the scope and if they have any discounts and they actually referred me to Pyramydair! The gun was a lot cheaper with Pyramydair than if I ordered it directly from Crossman + a Benjamin sling was included with the gun at no cost! And I had no problems with ordering and shipping - the whole process went smoothly. So I highly recommend Pyramydair.

    Things I liked:

Quality gun, good value although not as accurate as I had hoped. Hopefully accuracy will improve. Initially louder than expected but seems to be quieting down with use.

    What others should know:

This is large rather heavy gun. The gun included quality strap. An included custom case would be nice as well due to large size of gun.

    Things I liked:

I've had it now for about 3-4 weeks and I love this air gun. The nitro piston is the only way to go for break action air rifles. Very smooth and easy to cock. My 9 year old son has no problem cocking it. Really like to Weaver mounts and scope that comes with it. Also has a very neat sling that comes with it. Also, it is very, very accurate. The first week resulted in several squirls and other pest taken out !!! For the money I highly recommend this gun. Had a Gammo Hunter, but like this one much better. No scope slippage, and easy cocking make it a must buy for back yard plinking or small game hunting in my opinion. Just one thing you need to do buy a good drop in trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

Two things I would have changed. The gun is a little heavy, but its ok. The one thing that I did change was the trigger. The trigger is not real good...I've seen worse, but not lately. It seems that most air rifle makers in this price range really skimp on triggers. If you purchase this air rifle or most any other for that matter you may want to check out Charlie da tuna web site. I had never heard of it before but did a google search for drop in air rifle triggers and found his sight. The best $32 bucks you will ever spend on an air rifle. I ordered it on Friday and got it in the mail on Monday. It only takes about 7-10 minutes to install (Read the instructions and print the pdf instructions out from his web site!) Its about a 2.5-3 crisp trigger, and makes all the difference in the world. WOW was my first reaction. I've never tried a drop in trigger for an air rifle but this one works well. There may be other makers that are just as good, but if I need another trigger, this is where I'll go first.

    What others should know:

The scope comes already in the mounts, however you may have to adjust the location of the mounts so that they properly fit into the Weaver mounts. In short, Weaver Mounts, a MUST, nitro piston a very nice to have, drop in trigger, MUST.

    Things I liked:

I like the thumb hole stock and the weaver rail.

    Things I would have changed:

it needs a better trigger pull, to much creep but it will get smoother after break in.

    What others should know:

This is an awesome barrgin, the optics are clear and easy to adjust. The break in perroid is long but worth it. Once broken in it is smooth and quite. Nitro piston feels solid with no second recoil like a springer. I bought a couple of the crossmen night stocker picatinny rails and mounted them to the forearm and mounted a flashlite to them for some night time hunting.

    Things I liked:

I like the overall tactical look with the weaver rail. Pretty sure the scope won't move with it. Thomb hole stack is comfortable, almost molds to your arm. The sock is black, it looks kinda grey in photo.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is the worst thing about this gun. It has as much creep as a Gamo or maybe more. After a good break in period very good gun.

    What others should know:

This gun performs so much better with the GRTIII trigger up grade. The scope is one of the better scopes that I have found in a combo though it would be nice if it was luminated for thoese night time hunts. Nothing a UTG torch light can't fix. Great bargin.

    Things I liked:

Quiet and easy to shoot in the back yard. Scope is very clear and easily adjustable for various shooters with different eyesight. Still haven't had the chance to shoot at different yardages but seems to be very accuate grouping in the 20 yard range.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is very long and with the weight of the rifle it is hard to hold steady without a rest. Hand grip is very long and makes it hard to fit in a normal gun case.

    Things I liked:

Everything! When I received the air rifle, the more I shot it, the better it got. After 200 shots the noise diminished and the groups got smaller. I was amazed at the power of the .22 cal pellets. They would pass thru a 3/4" board with no problem. I have taken several birds and they fold like a beach chair.

    What others should know:

I recommend using only one type of pellet. They all shoot with different groups, so find the one that you like and stick with it.

    Things I liked:

It's quiet - very heavy and solid - very accurate, shooting less than 1 inch groups at 30 yards (which is the longest I got to test it so far) and it feels like a real firearm. I normally shoot a Remington 700 in .308 cal. but only get to the range once a month. Now I can shoot in my backyard daily. This gun is very backyard friendly EXCEPT it will punch a pellet through a phone book and still embed the pellet 1/4 inch into a concrete block so be warned that this is a powerful gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing... well, maybe I would ask for a parkerized barrel but other than that I can't think of anything off hand.

    What others should know:

You will need an 46 inch assault rifle case to store this gun with scope attached. Because of the pistol grip a standard scoped rifle case just wont do the job.

    Things I liked:

VERY QUIET,AND HARD HITTING, CAME WITH A BENJAMIN SLING AND THE CENTERPOINT SCOPE IS A NICE TOUCH.

    Things I would have changed:

WOULD HAVE LIKED FOR IT TO HAVE BEEN ABOUT A POUND LIGHTER, KINDA ON THE HEAVY SIDE BUT NOT A BIG PROB FOR ME.

    What others should know:

NOTHING YET AS I HAVE'NT REALLY HAD THE CHANCE TO TEST IT OUT THANKS TO THE SNOW AROUNG HERE, 7 FT. SNOW DRIFTS MAKES IT KINDA HARD TO DO ANYTHING.

    Things I liked:

First and foremost I like the fact that this air-rifle holds true to the Benjamin name in delivering great traditional Benjamin quality while keeping up with the times and incorporating some cool next-generation features. Straight out of the box this gun only needed two shots to get it on target. By the third shot (at 50 feet) I was shooting tight 1/2 inch groups. As the last reviewer mentioned, the gun is loud for the first few shots but after all the excess oils were expelled it began to quiet down and now - a few hundred shots later - it is fairly quiet for even indoor shooting. The Optics are great… something I did not expect that on a gun in this price range. They are very crisp and clear and function very well. The gun is heavy and feels very solid. I chose to go with the Crosman Premier .22 Cal 14.3 Grain Hollowpoint pellets. They seem to work well in this gun. Others may give a tighter group but I chose these out of personal preference. I am use to the way they shoot and don’t mind an occasional 1/4 of an inch stray from time to time. Overall this gun is way more gun than I expected for the price. It packs plenty of punch as well so hunting small game will not be an issue wit this gun. I managed to punch a hole in 3 2 liter bottles and then still embed the pellet 1/4 of an inch into a concrete block so I would call that a fairly good punch for an air-rifle of the sub 1,000 fps category.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe another picatinny rail on the lower fore stock for a bi-pod or other accessories. Other than that I would change nothing at all.

    Things I liked:

super accurate, very easy to break barrel - cock, scope is clear and easy to adjust.

    Things I would have changed:

trigger pull - too much creep and too stiff. the weight - too heavy. like to see them made in usa - not overseas! maybe ship with someone other than ups. they really beat stuff up!!!

    What others should know:

this gun is tack driving accurate. it really likes rws pellets, I tried the super domes, and will try the hps next. also likes h&n and beeman 12.65 hps. this is a serious air gun, I would not recommend it for young children. even though it has some things I would change, overall, I would say it's worth every penny. not going to find a better deal than pyramid air!

    Things I liked:

True Benjaman quality in this new air gun. Very nice stock on this particular model and I love the heavy barrel. Gun feels very solid. Optics are the best I have seen on a sub $500 air rifle kit and honestly better than I ever expected. I sited the rifle in at 50 feet and it only took me 3 shots to get a direct center bulls eye. Not bad at all. The gun was very loud at first but tamed down after about 25 shots. Just 10 minutes out of the box I was shooting very tight groupings (1/2 inch or so) at 50 feet and less than an inch at 75 yards. As for power... I punched a hole through a water billed (and capped) 2 liter bottle and still managed to sink the .22 hollow point about 1/4" into a concrete block and did this 3 times in a row so I see no reason why this gun would not be very effective on small game. Overall (and with only 100 shots placed downrange) I think this gun is a great buy and is by far the best air gun in its price range.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe add another Picatinny rail in the lower front stock for bipod and other accessories. I don't have the problem as the last reviewer (bipod not fitting) since I use a sandbag for table-top shooting but adding a nice bipod on a quick release rail would be nice. Trigger is a little rough but that may smooth out over time as most do.

    What others should know:

This is a .22 so be careful when shooting it indoors. On my first test this rifle punched clear through a 2 inch thick phone book so get a good metal trap for indoor shooting unless you want to repair walls on a regular basis. :)

awsome air gun for the money. this is a big serious air rifle... I would not recommend it for your 12 year old. be careful with the trigger adjustment screw, it will back all the way out!!! shoots best with rws, h&n, and beeman ammo. go out and have some fun!!!

    Things I would have changed:

trigger is terrible, very heavy, made in, or should I say, assembled in china!!! trigger adjustment made little to no difference.

    What others should know:

likes rws, beeman, and h&n pellets. be careful with the trigger adjustment screw, it will back all the way out, till it falls out. watch the scope ring and mount screws, and tighten after every few shots.
