    Things I liked:

I purchased one of these rifles in May of 2013, and have been very pleased with it's overall performance. When mine arrived the barrel was filthy. This is a common complaint with these rifles. The factory trigger was absolutely worthless as you could not adjust it to a point that the pull/release was consistent and therefore it wouldn't hold a group better than 3" at 20 yards. I purchased a Charlie DaTuna aftermarket trigger for it for under $40, and I can definitely say that it was well worth doing so. I also applied a very light coating of gun grease to the cocking lever pivots, bear trap lever, and trigger assembly. This was time well spent, as it not only makes it easier to cock, but also improves trigger performance. I would recommend that you purchase pellets in variety packs to see which ones work best in your rifle. It does take several hundred shots to get the rifle broken in. Mine works best with H&N Baracuda Green 12.5 gr alloy pellets. I tried several different brands/types of lead pellets in it and just could not get the same performance as I do with the alloy ones. I can now hold a 1/2" to 3/4" group at 20 yards. While some people complain about the scope, I didn't have any problem with mine.

    Things I would have changed:

Number 1 would be the trigger. The factory trigger would work better as a small paperweight than as a trigger. Spend the money on a Charlie DaTuna trigger--you will be glad you did. It would be nice if Crosman supplied a sling for them also.

    What others should know:

I liked this rifle so much, that I purchased a Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 a few months later. I went through the same problems with it as I did with the Trail NP. I did have to return the scope that came with it for a replacement. They are both a lot of fun to shoot. The Trail NP is much easier to cock, and I would definitely recommend this rifle to both junior and adult shooters. Be warned--DON'T fool yourself into thinking because these are pellet rifles that they aren't as dangerous as a powder firearms. They will shoot through 1/2 " marine grade plywood at 30 yards! Also, ALWAYS maintain a solid grip on both the barrel and stock while loading to prevent the barrel from accidentally slamming closed in the event the trigger would disengage. I would recommend this rifle or the NP XL 1100 to anyone. Once you spend a little time working out the quirks, and determining which pellets work best in your rifle you will really enjoy either of these rifles. I just wish that the state of Pennsylvania would allow hunters to use air rifles, because these would be great to hunt small game.

    Things I liked:

I have only shot about 100 rounds with it,very accurate at 25 yards so far quarter size groups with the jbs 7.84gr going to try jbs 8.4gr when they show up .it pumps smooth, and it feels every bit of 30lbs to cock it, reason I went with this rifle was for the better scope. I knew if I went with gamo whisper fusion or bone collector the scope would have been in the garbage and I would have to pay another $120.00 for a scope and most likely a barrel droop compensate scope mount another $60.00 cause even the scope rings on the gamo have lots of problems so I spent $200.00 instead of having $400.00 plus wrapped up in a gamo.this is so far a very nice rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing yet

    What others should know:

when I received this rifle 1st thing I did was cleaned the barrel. I could not believe the how dirty it was brand new out of the box..So no matter what you buy you just have to clean them barrels 1st before your 1st shot.also if you use the hoppies #9 solvent dont get any of that stuff on you seals it will eat um up..

    Things I liked:

I really love this rifle. I recently returned from a trip too Texas, my wifes family has a lot of land and provided a rare opportunity to test the rifles limits at distance. To make a long story short, this babys got some reach! After zeroing it for 50 yrds hiting a ceramic doll or soda can at 100 yrds or more was no problem. Even in heavy wind it managed to stay well on target using crosman hollow points.

    Things I would have changed:

This rifle deserves a better scope. I used a mildot scope made by center point. Works very well with this rifle. I was dropping starlings at 90 yrds with a updated scope.

    What others should know:

Proper rifle shooting techniques are required for this rifle to shoot straight. You seasoned break barrel shooter will have no problem getting her on target.

    Things I liked:

To start off the trigger was lousy I removed the trigger and came up with a solution now it performs as it should without spending 40 bucks. Next I shot the rife for a couple days and to no avail it would not hold zero so I replaced the scope with a utg 4x16x40 and it now shoots a single hole at ten yards consistently

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger without a doubt, come crossman I've been shooting your equipment since I was a kid get it together. And of course the centerpoint scope may be fine on my 22 br or one of my many pcp rifles bot not on a spring piston or nitro piston.

    What others should know:

After performing all of the above this rifle after broken in over 600 shots is a tack driver in skilled hands

    Things I liked:

My first "Nitro-Piston" a/g,,,,and I like it, Do I like it more than my springer's, only time will tell. So, Far, I'm just testing out its accuracy with different pellets/weight's, and after roughly 250 rounds from various makers, and varying weights, In my conclusion, FX SmoothTwist pellets @16gr,. came out on top nudging out the best JSB, and H&N had to offer, and surprisingly out of the economy selection, Daisy Field Points were consistently more accurate than anything from Crosman, and Gamo, although in Alloy, Gamo PBA Armour rounds @10.8gr,. beat H&N Baracuda Green's, and FTT Green's, while Crosman SST's provided the highest Consistent velocity at an average of 1075fps,even though all the shots were in the black, they were scattered(Tests made indoors, at 20M).

    Things I would have changed:

This gun is heavy, and I'm a fairly large individual(pushing 50 though;), Thank Christ it comes with swivels.

    What others should know:

I would give Honest, and Fair Velocity accounts, Crosman achieves those numbers using Alloy pellets, Be Honest, much like Hatsan. I was very surprised to achieve the numbers I got w/ the Crosman SST's, judgeing from previous review's. I consider myself lucky. All in All, I highly recommend this gun, and I can't wait to see how it performs at distance in the field. From what I've seen so far,,,,Dinner's in the Pot. Cheer's, and Happy Huntin', Andy.

    Things I liked:

Powerful. Pretty quiet for the power it produces. Weaver rail. Thumbhole, synthetic, stock.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger. It smooths up with use, but it's pretty rough and heavy. It is predictable with a little practice, but it's so heavy that even then it's not going win any matches. It is adequate for hunting at small game hunting ranges. 100' or less. Include a more robust telescope. Or, put some decent open sights on it instead.

    What others should know:

This machine destroys Centerpoink scopes. Less than a 1000rounds each for two of them. Reticles started turning counterclockwise. The tech I chatted with at PA recommended the etched glass type reticle telescopes. I'll have to get one, but they are more expensive than the rifle was for a good one.

    Things I liked:

Feels like a solid gun. I like the stock and its not loud at all. Also has alot of power.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is terrible. It smoothed out a bit after about 1000 pellets but it was still terrible. Accuracy is not very good as well.

    What others should know:

I realy wanted to like this gun but after trying all the pellets others recommend for this rifle I was disappointed with the accuracy. I have an old Gamo Hunter 440 .177 and can hold less than a 2 inch group at 35 yards with an old Gamo scope. This thing cant hold a 6 inch group with the scope it came with or the new centerpoint scope I bought to try to improve the accuracy. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or if its just that hold sensitive but I needed something better. If shot 25 yards and in it may be acceptable but to me the challenge is to shoot further out. I'll be shooting my noisy Gamo until I descide to pull the trigger on an Mrod synthetic.

    Things I liked:

A good entry point into the world of spring guns at a reasonable price. Break barrels aren't for everyone, but unless you want to step up into the word of $500+ English and German springers, this isn't a bad place to start. It took a while, but I've finally got this grouping well at 20 - 25 yards. I'm getting close to where I want to be at 50 yards. Anything beyond that and I switch to powder (personal preference). Good velocity, but you aren't going to get 1200 FPS with lead pellets, and you don't typically need to. Scope has proven decent so far - I'd like more range, but for an entry/package scope, this is one of the better ones I've seen. Reasonably quiet, and to be honest, it looks pretty cool too.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger, followed by the trigger, and then the trigger. The stock trigger is simply hideous. I put a new trigger in mine and it transformed the rifle. I'd say put a better scope on it, but for $200 I can't complain about what came in the box.

    What others should know:

This gun can be a challenge, and could be a right ride for someone who is new to shooting air guns. You HAVE to do the trigger, but once you do, it becomes much more manageable. I was about ready to throw mine into the trash with the old one. It does recoil some, and you have to learn how to hold it - that is true for all springers. It can be a frustrating rifle at first, but if you stick with it it can be rewarding. If you can figure out this rifle, the higher end springers will be cake for you. Seems to like JSB 8.4 Diabolo Domed 8.4 and H&R Field Target Trophy Round Nose 8.64, as well as H&R Barracuda Match 10.65. No luck with RWS or any of the Gammo pellets.

    Things I liked:

The looks, accuracy, trigger when adjusted. Centerpoint scopes work very well. This air rifle is a tac driver after you work on it. First, all the stock screws should be taken out, put some blue Loctite on them and screw them back in. Even put some blue Loctite on the but pad screws as well, they will come loose after time. This is common for many break barrel air rifles. Both of mine had barrel droop but this isn't a real big problem. My barrel droop started to show after the break in period. They don't make barrel droop compensator mounts for weaver rails. So I used a coke can cut two strips folded both in half put them together, and put electrical tape around it. Also cut off excess electrical tape. This completely solved my barrel droop problem.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing I really like this air rifle in .22 cal.

    What others should know:

You have to work a little but after your work, your results will show. I have hit a squirrel from 75 yards away, and he fell right out of the tree like a brick. Also only adjust the trigger down until it is even with the metal part surrounding the screw.

    Things I liked:

For the money I think that it's a nice rifle. After about 15-20 shots I have it shooting nice tight groups. The thumb hole stock is nice.At my backyard range I can break clay birds all day long at 50+75 yards. Wicked fun to shoot and quiet in my opinion.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger isn't great but you get used to it.

    What others should know:

It's on the heavy side, about the same weight as an 30-06.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Well made, like the synthetic stock, like the weight/ balance, easy to cock, light recoil thanks to the NP (no double hit "twang" like a springer), well priced and fairly quiet. Good value for the money plus the 3 X 9 CenterPoint scope seems to be holding up. This is a powerful rifle with pellets going right through a 3/4" pine board with splintering at the exit hole and is a good rifle for use against large rats, ground squirrels, crows and rabbits.

    Things I would have changed:

Worst trigger I have ever seen in any gun I have ever shot and Benjamin should change this. Also the chamber is fairly tight requiring a good thumb press in seating pellets to avoid bent skirts upon closing and should be better machined. I would give it an an overall rating of 5 stars if it were not for the trigger and the tight chamber.

    What others should know:

This rifle took me about 300 shots to settle in and out of the box accuracy was poor with shots wandering all over at 33' with 5"-6" groups (with flyers) at first. A good barrel clean (goop and crude came out during cleaning) and an after market De Tuna trigger ($32 and easy to put in and LocTite ((blue)) the stock screws when you reassemble) greatly improved accuracy to now I can get 1" groups at 33' an occasional cloverleaf. At 25 yds I can pop small objects with little problem and will soon try it at further ranges. It seems to like Crossman 14.3 grain domed pellets. Very, very hold sensitive and I'm working on this as when I'm on I can get less than 1" groups.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is just plain bad. Horrible feel and way to long. Never know when it will finally fire

    What others should know:

I had one that went bad after one month of use cheap parts broke in half. Got second rifle. The 2nd rifle did not break but it can't hold any pattern at any distance. I have tried everything and spent to much time and money trying to figure this gun out. No type of hold seems to help and no pellet works well with it. I finally got to the point that I hated it. Decided to get an Discovery. I would highly recommend to stay away. 2 out of 2 guns went bad on me. Don't take the chance like I did...

    Things I would have changed:

The scope was defective. Shot 1 & 1/2 ' low and could not adjust it. Windage was erratic also. Maybe I just got a bad one.

    What others should know:

PyramydAir would replace it but would have to send the entire combo back. Called Center-Point and they said to send it back for a replacement. Not taking any chances, going to buy a different scope and bite the bullet.

    Things I liked:

Solidly made, light recoil, reasonable cocking effort for a gas-piston gun. Fairly quiet considering that it does not come with a suppressor.

    Things I would have changed:

Fairly heavy trigger pull, could not sight in the scope without shimming.

    What others should know:

Like other reviewers, I could not get the Centerpoint scope sighted in without shimming up the rear mount. After looking closely at the barrel, I think it is not the scope's fault. It appears that the locked position of the barrel is pointed down slightly, so that it is not parallel with the scope ring mount. I think Crosman/Benjamin has a problem here. That said, some shims and patience got the problem fixed and I like the rifle very much.

Attractive gun, Well made,Great value for the money. No problem setting up the scope and zeroing it in. I really like the Bull Barrel

    Things I would have changed:

Better trigger, the second stage is smooth but excessively long

    What others should know:

This is a medium power gun, despite Benjamin/Crosman claims on standard weight lead pellets in .22 your FPS at the muzzle will be in the neighborhood of 750 FPS verified by my Chronograph. However I really like this gun and its pretty accurate and very easy to cock. Also its recoil is very moderate and smooth, not like a springer. The scope is good, but the focus on higher settings could be better. I like the adjustable aperture, you can adjust that parallax right down to manageable. I dont know of a better combo with this much value for the price. If you want higher velocities then get the XL model. I dont think anyone could go wrong on this purchase

    Things I would have changed:

I couldn't get the scope sighted in. It was cranked all the way up, but still shot 2" low at 10'. Also the gun is a bit heavy.

    What others should know:

For some reason this gun will be a little hard to open the first few times. I had to hit it with the bottom of my fist to get it open, until it broke in.
