Things I liked:

Powerful

Things I would have changed:

Good open sights and/or a much better scope.

What others should know:

I was very disappointed in this gun's performance. The included scope is a joke. The center of the shot pattern was 8" to the right and 2" below the target (at 15 yds.) and no amount of adjustment would bring it any closer. I thought this was due to the scope that was included with the package, but after I removed the scope and mounted a bead on the front and a rear sight at the back I realized that it was the gun. Even secured to a bench rest it was impossible to get a grouping under 6 inches from 15 yards. I bought it to shoot chipmunks that are burrowing under my foundation, but with this gun I wouldn't be able to hit one unless it was hanging over the end of the barrel (maybe). None of the other reviewers seem to have this problem, so maybe I just got a defective gun. In any event, I will be returning it at my first opportunity.

    Things I liked:

I like the price, accuracy with Crosman Premium hollow points and Destroyer pellets. The Scope and mounts are easily mounted. The nitron power plant and suppressor makes this a very quiet rifle with lead pellets. The Skelton plastic stock makes the gun light and easy to handle. It has already accounted for vermin around the back yard as well as plinking at targets hung on the back fence. Have only had this gun two days. Loads of fun!

    Things I would have changed:

At this price point. Nothing! Under $100.

    What others should know:

No iron sights, no sling swivels, the cocking will give you a work out of your not use to break barrel sir guns. The scope is nothing to brag about but has been serviceable on my gun. I had difficulty finding this gun because of the pandemic scare! Finally found one at Academy

    Things I liked:

First this is an impressive looking air rifle for the price.Since this is my first break barrel I wanted the nitro piston, have at least 1000 fps or more and not be out of range as far as price goes.I am sure there are other air rifles you can choose from, and I have had this one for over two weeks. It's comfortable to hold at aiming and also at rest and not to heavy. There is a lot of different pellets you can use and I am still seeing which ones I like best. I have attached a bi-pod to the barrel not the stock and works well. Unfortunately I have not been able to take this outside to a range to test far distances but have confidence it will do well. I have not done any trigger adjustments maybe when really comfortable with the air rifle then may make changes, for now I am just leaving the way it is. I also would like to mention this is not as loud as I thought it would be.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not change the air rifle itself however maybe have sights on the air rifle itself and like other reviews I would change the scope. Which that was something I did. The scope that came with this to make the target clearer by backing out the eye piece was still a little blurry, and yes if want to know my glasses have been updated this past year. That being written the optics on the scope I replaced it with is much clearer.

    What others should know:

When using different pellets like blue flame alloy pellets when firing the rifle it's louder then lead pellets even the red fire are not loud.

Excellent gun for $$. Extremely comfortable stock. Replaced trigger adjustment screw for a longer one so now it's pretty good cocks very easy shoot quarter inch groop at 25yrds

    Things I would have changed:

    No

    What others should know:

1.my barrel bent because while cocking either it slipped out of my fingers or the sear didn't catch 2 these high power springer/np eat Scopes FOR SNACK....buy scope with good warranty and of course springer rated 3the cheapest precharged pneumatic will shoot circles around this thing actually the other way around lol pcp WAY easier to shoot accurately

    Things I liked:

Mine is an F4, which is the same thing. Price was great. I am admittedly not a great break barrel shooter. I also have a Crosman Phantom springer in .177 caliber. That thing unleashes fire and brimstone in loudness every time I shoot it. I bought it in 2013. It never quieted down. My F4 is a whole lot quieter with its gas piston. I LOVE that! I can shoot it without worrying about getting a SWAT team called down. The lack of noise and commotion makes me a better shooter too. I'm okay withno open sights. I'm 66 with not verygood eyesdight, so have to use a scope anyway.

    Things I would have changed:

You know the cheap crappy 4x15 scopes that come with many cheap multi-pumpers? You know, the one most of us throw in the trash on day one? Sell, the Centpoint 4x32 that came with my F4 is much worse. I can't get a clear view with it, and there is some distortion, and rzinbow colors around the edges of the view. This is NOT due to my eyes. I have a number of rifle scopes with sharp, clear views anf no color distortions. I put a Hammers 3x9x 40 AO scope on it. I think the rings are okay that comes with it. The front ring just has 2 screws holding the ring halves together, and 2 holding the ring to the dovetail. But, the rear ring has 4 screws holding itto the dovetail, and has a stop screw too. Should be enough. How about dropping the price a few bucks, and don't include a scope? Or, include a decent 4x32 WITH AO? The trigger sucks. Not that it has a stiff pull. It doesn't, andthe pull is reasonable. It's the travel! Good God, does it gave alot of travel. Aftermarket, or RC bearing

    What others should know:

So far, my F4 seems to like the Crosman Premier Super Match, and the RWS Hobbys. Both are wadcutters. I am happy that I am getting some decent groups with these. I love the NP aspect that gives me a quieter, smoother shooting break barrel! I am soon planning to get a gas piston powered .22 caliber air rifle. Maybe a Vantage. If this thing came with no scope, or a better scope, and just an okay trigger, I would have given it all 5 stars.

    Things I liked:

Excellent accuracy, power, ergonomics, & bang for the buck. The screws are actually staying tight LOL! I have to tighten the fore end and trigger guard screws on all my other break barrels about every 200 shots but they have stayed nice and tight on the Fire...go figure.

    Things I would have changed:

Throw the supplied scope and rings away as soon as you open the box. The scope was by far the worst I have ever received "free". Cloudy, impossible to focus. I added a UTG 3-9 x 32 mounted with BKL rings and have repeatable results shooting the next day, next week etc.

    What others should know:

Probably one of the most underrated, under the radar .177 airguns out there. I have break barrels from Hatsan, Stoeger, and Diana and this was a huge surprise!. Seems to like weights in the 8 to 9 grain range as qtr sized groups are pretty normal at 20~25 yds. More one shot kills with this rifle than any of my other break barrels ( gopher, racoon, geese, swamp rat size), takes smaller game with ease.

    Things I liked:

In a word... POW-erful! For the price (I recently saw one on sale for $89!) you ain't gonna get a better gun. And once you get it dialed in with a better scope or sight (see things I would change) incredibly accurate for a break-barrel, hell, pretty damn accurate for any airgun.

    Things I would have changed:

The 2 things that make this 5 star rifle and turn it into a 4 star: No iron sights and the scope is a turd. This is a very powerful gun but, not so much as you're not going to be able to see anything you're shooting cuz it's too far away, so iron sights should have been installed. The scope is just terrible within 5-10 shots after getting it dialed in it starts losing its zero, by the time you get 20-30 shots it's not even close anymore. I switched it out to an open red-dot site and after dialing it in i shot a 10 group that totally shredded the ten-ring on a 4 inch target at 100 feet. The right sights and you won't miss with this gun.

    What others should know:

Heavy pellets, This gun loves'em! Yeah you can get crazy speeds with those really light pellets but, you won't hit anything. For the price I use the crossman super magnum 10.5 grain lead pellets, but any of the heavier pellets will fine. They hit hard and on target and the heavier pellets carry all that power way down-range with them.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy. With a 350+ round break in this is an amazingly accurate and easy to use rifle. I'm in the habit of cleaning my barrel after just a few shots and this rifle produces groups under half inch regularly with good quality pellets. I get noticeably better groups using Wadcutter ammo so I will stick to that pellet shape. Use quality pellets or the power of the gun may shred the cheap stuff, I have had it happen. I have the F4 version and I am simply amazed at how it shoots.

    Things I would have changed:

This powerhouse deserves a pair of nice iron sights and without a doubt a better scope. I am looking at scopes but still have not decided on what to buy. Some good iron sights would be a nice yet inexpensive upgrade to this fine rifle. The trigger is a bit creepy but has improved with use so I will keep it.

    What others should know:

Everyone has their own opinion on what makes a great combination and in my opinion you cant do any better dollar for dollar so grace it with a good scope. I use phone books tightly duck taped for targets and I use old hard cover books behind them for backup. These work well to stop the rounds but I have drilled holes through two in the center after several hundred rounds. Good news is replacing the target books cost me only duck tape. I love my rifle and I will give it the scope it deserves when I can afford to do so.

    Things I liked:

Weight of the gun. Feels like a real rifle... the balance is a little off, but I use shooting sticks and can shoot for hours. Pistol Grip - super comfortable, ergonomic (to a point) Price - if you are lucky, you can pick one of these up usually for about 20 -25% off every now and again. For a little over $100 bucks, hard to go wrong

    Things I would have changed:

Iron sights - be nice to have the option, but not a deal breaker Stock - kinda goofy looking, but I think it has to do with weight distribution Safety - not the greatest in the world, but adequate. If you're a responsible shooter, should not be a problem

    What others should know:

Where a glove - Middle Finger and palm of your trigger hand will get sore (at least mine did from the trigger cover and the pistol grip). I shot this gun a lot; after about 200-250 rounds at a time and my hand developed a bit of a blister and a sensitivity to the recoil of the gun. I wore a Mechanics type of glove with padding after; no problems Start with a heavier pellet (8.4 gr or higher) - this gun is powerful and will wreck light pellets. Start heavy and the gun will be really accurate out to 20 yards and beyond within reason I had to return my first gun - after ~1000 rounds (roughly 2 weeks). Not sure what the problem was, but I was getting pellets stuck in the barrel, there was a lot of piston slap and the gun would basically misfire. No problem with the return and the new rifle is performing nicely

    Things I liked:

Amazing weapon. Very accurate at 10 paces and beyond. At 6 paces it will almost put a arrow point pellet through 1/2" hardwood plank. Feels very durable. The velocity has to be higher that reported even with lead pellets. Gives a good burn to the bi-ceps and pec when cocking. With a good scope that costs way more than the rifle you can be sure this weapon will hit its mark.

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman... can I get a discount on the scope? The one that comes with it is barely adequate for close range backyard plinking. A lot of us just don't want to just hit the can but also to know where exactly and how powerful we hit it. I spent much time debating to upgrade the sights and have been so much more accurate making the one that came with it obsolete , so seriously how much for the original scope?... anyone... Bueller.. Bueller.. Bueller... I didn't think so.

    What others should know:

Did I mention the scope?, but on the bright side of this review is the rifle itself. If you want to get a little better at shooting, and a little better in shape, then definitely get this for your first, your last, or just for a collection. Heck, we're not gonna win no wars with BB's and Pellets but if life draws us to the wire we can at least put an eye out or two. This aint your Red Rider! One Shot One Kill! SPARTAN by the Grace of GOD.

i purchased my Nitro Fire about a year ago and the things I liked most about this rifle was the realistic feel of it, and right out of the box it was ready to go (after adding the scope) it has the power to take out pest as well as paper targets. there are more expensive break barrels out there but why throw money away.. spend a little more on the scope and you'll have a rifle that will shoot circles around all the others.

    Things I would have changed:

    better adjustable scope

    What others should know:

keep your rifle clean and it will stay true.

-high fps -weight -cocking force -*true 2 stage trigger*

    Things I would have changed:

-add iron sights -change the included pos sight included -make the rifle shorter! -figure how to increase muzzle energy.

    What others should know:

Very nice rifle but it needs a good/better sight or iron sights. Its pretty long/tall compared to alot of other rifles. Has good fps, but low impact energy... has very smooth and easy cocking. It has a nice tight barrel and thick/deep barreling grooves. I recommend this rifle, just buy an alot better scope. * it has a 2 stage trigger which is nice, but no click or anytype of indication how far/close you are from the trigger firing so you have to feel/learn after time.*

Just received Fire recently from PyramydAir. As others have mentioned, air gun manufacturers should give option of buying with or without scope. 4x32 CenterPoint scope that came with gun was fine (though not cross hair hash marks for hold overs), this gun deserves much better! I mounted an inexpensive NcStar 3x9x40 Tactical Rifle Scope with hash mark cross hair holdovers. Zeroed in at 15 yards using RWS 7.0 gr Meisterkugeln Wad Cutter pellets. Very nice 1.5" groups at both 15 and 20 yards!

    Things I would have changed:

Option of buying with or without factory scope. Not much else.

    What others should know:

Very good buy for the money. Was able to buy at 10% discount plus free shipping. Long (but smooth, not gritty trigger pull) trigger pull. Will now experiment with adjustable trigger.

    Things I liked:

Purchased this rifle at Wal-Mart for around 100 dollars. Also purchased a lot of pellets, around 12 different types. First I cleaned it, the barrel was pretty dirty. Once I got it cleaned up. Set up a target at 20 yards, started testing all the different pellets. The best most accurate and consistsnt pellet was Beeman 10.65 grain Kodiaks. Gun is hold sensitive, have to use the artillery hold if you want consistency. Gun is very light weight. Not at all hard to cock and very accurate. Haven't shot it past 20 yards but I can get half inch, 5 shot groups sitting down at a picnic table, with out a bench rest and all shots make one ragged hole. For the money, you can go wrong getting this rifle. I did swap out the scope with a Center Point 4 by 16 by 50 though, also a Wal-Mart purchase for around 70 dollars. So for around 170.00 and trying to find the right pellet, an additional 50 or 60 dollars I have a pretty sweet shooting small game air rifle. Takes around 300 pellets to get droke in.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a better scope. Would be willing to pay more if it came with a better combo scope or just offer the gun by itself.

    What others should know:

Takes a lot of different pellets to shot accurately. But once you find the right pellet, it's super accurate! With the Beeman 10.65 grain Kodiaks I get 14 for at the muzzle. They shoot slower but they hit with authority. Perfect for squirrels, rabbits, crows, and pests!

Don't shoot birds with it. I shot one from my porch and nailed it, as evidenced by the tuft of feathers, but the darn thing flew away like it was no big deal. Maybe it's just my riflesh and something is wrong with it. Other than that it's a great rifle.

    Things I liked:

This pellet gun is remarkable. I can shoot dime sized groups repeatedly at 20 yards. I ended up changing the scope because it has a parabolic mirror affect to me and changed out the trigger adjustment screw for one I ground down to twice as long (it's a 3mm fine thread screw and I had some because I'm into rc helicopters and they are common to that. I ground to .460" long threads from the head). I screwdctgat adjustment screw in until the barrel cocking mechanism would not engage the sear. From the point you could barley feel the sear want to grab (after backing out to get to that point), I turned out the adjustment screw 3/4 of a turn. What a difference....tack driver for real. I would attempt to shoot nail heads at 20 yards with confidence. Play with different pellets until you find the right one. Mine are 8.3 grain rws meisterkugeln

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing because it would drive the price up

    What others should know:

But it, throw away the scope, adjust the trigger and compete with $1100 guns
