The weight and balance is very nice. The accuracy is very good... Yes, using the scope from the box. The scope is adjustable and it needed minor adjustments out of the box.
Things I would have changed:I wish it had iron sights...
What others should know:I do not doubt there are better scopes to be used, but the one in the box works great. This is my first pellet gun, 30 years old. Why did I wait so long :). I calibrated the scope which is very easy. Aim for the bullseye, shoot the gun. See where you actually hit... Now while still focused on the bullseye, adjust the scope (not the gun) from the bullseye to the spot that you hit. After doing that reaim the gun to bullseye and you should be spot on or close to it... Repeat till satisfied.
I also cleaned the barrel of the gun with which stopped the smoking after each shot. I have only shot about 50 pellets, so my good should be great in due time.

Everything but the scope, Have had my MTR77 NP for 2 years now this is almost the same thing. I've grown used to the crosman trigger Now I have 2 Guns I love.
Things I would have changed:Scope Take it and throw it as far as possible out of the box, I bought a tasco 40mm adjustable and .5 inch groups every time all the time
What others should know:Get this Gun now it is a winner Very accurate, 3 grackle birds had heart attacks just by me opening the box. I did buy from Wallyworld But pyramid air is the best place to buy anything. Truth

Light and powerful. Easy to cock for 18fpe. No dieseling, no smoke out of the box.
Things I would have changed:Trigger, and scope. They are bad. And Crosman should be ashamed.
What others should know:i submitted a couple shot string pictures. This really does the advertised fpe. Crosman did replace the initial faulty scope. But I replaced the replacement with an of ft scope, a picture was submitted also. I plan to replace the trigger. I'm getting nice solid groups at 20yds and it's much better after the JB treatment. After about 500 shots through it it's settling in nicely.

The stock, doesn't seem to serve a purpose but looks cool. Also keeps the weight down.
Things I would have changed:The gun itself is not bad. Compared to the Gamo Big Cat 1200. This is a better gun for what you pay for. The scope is a 4x32 Center Point, when you find the right eye relief and look into the scope the edges seem to be blurry. It's not enough to distort the image but its kinda of distracting. Other than that the scope is fine.
What others should know:The owners manual mine came with stated that its approx 250 pellet break in period. Within that break in period the shot groups may be inconsistent. Cocking effort will also smooth out as you do the break in. I thought the trigger at first was terrible, but that got better as well. I shot a whole tin and noticed a gradual increase in accuracy. I made some adjustments to the second stage adjustable trigger as well and saw a dramatic shrinkage to my shot groups. The scope that it comes with has a parallax setting at 15yds. This air gun will break the sound barrier when you fire light pellets, I like to use a 8.0 gr to 9.5 with this gun, but if you take your time and get to know this gun and its features it brings tons of enjoyment. I also shot a cottontail rabbit at just over thirty yards, one shot kill. Quick, clean and humane.

I like the rifle. Once broken in the cocking is smooth. Hits hard and fast. The muzzle brake does help reduce noise. The stock looks good. The power and accuracy once you have the rifle set up is fantastic.
Things I would have changed:The scope is okay. It doesn't do the rifle justice though. I wished Crosman threw in their 3-9x40 instead. The trigger needs work too. It performs no where near like their CBT.
What others should know:Get a trigger kit or gun smith the trigger this comes with. Also get a better scope. For the money though the rifle itself is worth it.

VERY accurate. Purchased this gun in early September 2015. It's lighter than most at just 6 pounds. Again, the accuracy just blew me away. Out of the box, I cleaned the barrel, (no gunk found) I put the scope on, and sighted it in with the right pellet. See below. My backyard range is 45 feet, and I am using 10 meter targets, and it stacks the pellets consistently with the 8's and 9's and 10's. I use a tripod with a V yoke, (nothing special). Can cover 8-10 shots with a dime. It absolutely shoots circles around my GAMO 1250. It also seems to have a bit more punch than my GAMO. (If using the pellet penetration of a 2"x4" is any mark of power. To me it was a rather jaw dropping experience, especially for the modest price of this gun. Maybe the planets aligned just right, but this gun is a keeper, and I hope everyone who buys one has the same experience as I did. This Crosman is a sleeper and worth every penny.
Things I would have changed:Better Scope (Isn't that the case with many guns sold?) Otherwise...nothing.
What others should know:Until it's broken in, the cocking can give you a good workout. It wasn't listed on the box, or anywhere else, but guessing it to be about 30 lbs. cocking effort. Nice balance. I swapped out the Centerpoint scope to a Hammer's 3x9X40AO. The cocking is a bit different, because the barrel only goes a partial arc of about 15", as opposed to a long break arc that's with the GAMO. Pellets: The gun was finicky with pellets. I tried 7 different, including all of the Crosman's 7.9 g, including RWS Superdomes, and Beeman Kodiak. Match. Good but not great.----My gun has the most accuracy using the RWS Meisterkugeln 4.5mm 8.2g Wadcutters.. Will not try any other pellet.
