this rifle is just alot of fun to shoot.the triger is smooth and it hits what you aim at.
Things I would have changed:make the frame stronger.
What others should know:be careful with the cocking leaver.

I love the tactical look and feel on the rifle. The weaver/picatinny rails are great for all the random attachments I added.
Things I would have changed:I would make the stock a little stronger. Ive herd of people breaking them when they pumped it. It never happened to me but it does seem a little bit in need of an upgrade.
What others should know:overall this is a pretty cool fun plinking gun.

Pretty much everything.
Things I would have changed:The pellet feed system. The clips (magizines) should advance automatically, manually indexing to the next round is,at best,a pain. You do get used to it,but it is still a pain.
What others should know:I bought this rifle as a reburb, not really expecting much more than a fun little plinker, something to shoot in the house on my indoor range (nice, long hallway,10 meters even!).
I have to tell you, this rifle screams for a good scope!,I am totally astonished with the accuracy of this beast,15 shots at 10 meters in the size of a dime!.
Needless to say,I am buying another one of these, they are WAY UNDERRATED!.This thing is a tack driver.
I use 6 pumps and Gamo match wadcutters.
I can't wait to see what it can do with a good scope,it currently has an Aimpoint 1x red dot sight on it.
Do yourself a favor,if you are looking at this rifle, buy it and a decent scope, you will love it!.

Exceptional rifle for the money. added a scope, very accurate. Kids love it,especially my 11 year old daughter.4 to 5 pumps is perfect for shooting in garage at 20 ft with good backstop
Things I would have changed:nothing

I like the look and feel, although it's quite a bit lighter than my real AR's I was surprised at it's accuracy. I installed a 4x scope to match my other rifles. With it I got dime sized groups at 35', using only 5 pumps.I have yet to use 10 pumps, as 5 will sink a pellet 1/4" into my backstop. It's also veryquiet.
Things I would have changed:Remove the lower rail as the only thing small enough to fit without pump handle interferance is a pistol laser.
What others should know:While using a scope, the upper muzzle rail can be used for a small light and with a 45degree rail, a small laser will mount alongside your scope, for a little midnight rat hunting.

Very realistic look and feel. Clever design and removable open sights a plus for those who want a scope or red dot sight! Collapsible stock is nice, too. Rifled barrel fairly accurate.
Things I would have changed:I will mount a good airgun scope and try my groups again before I complain too much about the gun. For the price, I would be nit-picking to ask for any changes. It is as was expected! Maybe a little pricier version in CO2?
What others should know:My groups at 25 yards reliably printed 5-shot groups that were about 4 to 5 inches wide and about 2 inches (or less) high... in other words, it has potential, but it is stringing shots horizontally! I have heard that this is a problem with the open sights, so I think 2-inch groups are possible with a good scope that lacks the horizontal shifting that may be plaguing the open sights. Neat gun for the price... I bought the re-manufactured version.

very light weight, ease of maneuverability. like the 5 clip magazine. has the ar platform feel all day long. just a ton of fun to shoot! mounted a NcStar 3x9x40 scope, getting 3/4" groups at 40 feet with crosman premier hollow points.
Things I would have changed:would like to see crosman make this m4-177 with nitro piston power. i would stand in line for one! hopefully crosman is listening!!
What others should know:not enough power to expand the crosman premier hollow points. i did get moderate expansion with the gamo red fire 8 gr pointed pellet. For the price, you cannot beat this airgun.

What a blast to shoot Cheap, accurate, easy to pump. Excellent plinker or first rifle for a child
What others should know:Have shot targets to 50 yds. Very accurate at 25 yds. Seems to shoot heavier pellets more accurately than lighter ones. Currently using Baracuda Match pellets

Even though the overall construction is plastic, it is a heavy duty plastic and seems well put together and durable. I was impressed with its accuracy, firing consistent quarter size groups at 10-meters. The removable forward and rear sights and weaver rails allow easy attachment of a scope, dot sight, etc.
Things I would have changed:I noticed a slight amount of play in the shipped forward sight, but since I was attaching a dot sight, this was not an issue for me. Would like to see it ship with an extra magazine, and maybe produce a CO2 version?
What others should know:Real fun to own and shoot; I've used for both target and dispatching a few small vermin (single shot kills). I would stick to pellets only, the Crosman Premium Hollow points are my favorite for cost/performance. Using rifle to begin teaching my son basic marksmanship and gun safety. A good inexpensive match for the rifle is the Leapers, UTG 30mm Red/Green Dot sight also available through Pyramyd Air.

I can shoot a dime at 30 feet; the gun can outshoot me so I take the misses as my fault. The trigger is sweet. Quiet, even more quiet at 4 pumps inside the house.
Things I would have changed:Feels plastic-toy-like. Mine was refurbished and they didn't catch the rear sites. They were so crooked I had to flip them around and jimmy them with a toothpick.
What others should know:Criticisms aside, this gun is very worthwhile. It is a precise shooter.

I have had two of these rifles for about a year now. In general they look great and have a nice feel as well as being fun to shoot. With pellets the accuracy has been good and consistent at 50 yards. The gun has a comfortable weight and once you get a feel for advancing the pellet cartridge its simple bolt action is simple enough to use. We added scopes to them and they took on a more aggressive and cooler look which also helped to tighten up the groups. We have not tried BBs yet.
Things I would have changed:Although it works just fine as it is the one thing I did not like much was the forward hand grip which doubles as the pump lever. The plastic feels a bit cheap and tinny to me as it is pumped. So it is my opinion that it's material should be changed to give the handle a quieter and somewhat more solid rubber grip feeling.
What others should know:Order a few extra pellet cartridges so you can have them ready ahead of time and be prepared to have fun with it.

I think the gun has a great look and feel to it. The M4-177 is a reliable 760 base gun which served many of us and our kids for years. Now modernized and given an appearance deserving of many Crosman guns, but I feel they made a good choice for this new design. Removable sights, adjustable stock, a clip (case) it only holds your spare pellet clips total 5 and the sight key and it's accurate as any pumper out there for it's size. The nephew, (like my own son) really likes it. Shooting everyday he can after homework and chores are done.
Things I would have changed:For the money I wouldn't change to much, they have given 2 choices and you can buy all kinds of add-ons for it. The rail on the fore grip needs to be a little longer towards the trigger!
What others should know: Your son/daughter will have a lot of fun with this gun. Buy the extra pack 4 of clips, there only $5 and when you get to shooting pellets you'll wish you did!!
Almost forgot best place to buy ammo is right here at PyramydAir.

I bought this rifle as a refurb. to save a few bucks. No regrets. Lots of fun, lots of power and very accurate. As much fun in the back yard as my M16 was on the range. Almost!!
Things I would have changed:Good as is.
What others should know:Buy one for the collection. You will not be disappointed.

To begin with the worst, my M4 was re manufactured. Looked brand new, but had to shim the rear sites to the left about a 1/3 of an inch with toothpicks...that to hit a fifteen inch box at about 10 feet. Yes, terrible and should have got caught during re manufacturing. The good news? Once zeroed in, this gun shoots mad groups. I'm shooting groups of ten in a dime at 35 feet with open sites. Crazy good for a Cheap Remanufactured gun. I almost sent it back, but it looks like problem solved. Haven't gotten outside to shoot distance, but I'd like to try at 25 and 50 yards. Zeroed, I think it will do it.
Things I would have changed:Beware Remanufactured guns, but if they work they are a great bargain.
What others should know:Pyramydair has its customer support zeroed in and are fantastic help.

I love the M4 style, the accuracy and consistency. Overall, good rifle and worth every cent. I used it for target shooting at my indoor range (about 10 yds) and I can drill shot after shoot through the same hole.
Things I would have changed:Make a full metal version--I feel if you're gonna make a replica firearm, make it "feel" like one. The plastic just feels cheap. Also, this is minor, I replaced the rear sights with an airsoft one because the larger flip-sight was exactly the same size as the pinhole one. It just didn't make sense. (maybe the carry handle version has actual variable rear sights)
What others should know:Get at least packs (4 each) of extra pellet clips! It only comes with one clip. Be careful with the stock... the whole thing is plastic and may break if you pump holding it or drop it.

The weaver rails are cool, looks and feels like an M4 minus the weight
Things I would have changed:Crosman should throw in a CQB optic, but the open sights are fine
What others should know:Great for my kids,I get bored with it.My girls only pump it up 4-5 times, they should offer a CO2 model,I would buy it.
