Things I liked:

Perfect gun. Excellent and consistant accuracy. Gives you pleasure to shoot exactly where you aim. Fiber optic sights are great to aim. Professional. I am fully satisfied with power, accuracy, everything.

Things I would have changed:

I would include a cocking assist handle to avoid arm from getting tired.

What others should know:

I have some add ons-even though not necessary, just to have more fun. Scope is not actually necessary. But items below fit to LP8. 1. Cocking assist handle (actually made for browning pistol and exactly fits diana LP8) This handle enables you to be able to cock the gun without getting tired. (Check Umarex if not available in PYRAMYDAIR) 2. A scope : UTG 5th Gen 6x32AO Bug Buster Compact Rifle Scope, Gen 2, Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 1" Tube, See-Thru Weaver Rings 3. UTG 11mm to Weaver Adapter, Adjustable 4. UTG Premium 1" Rings, Medium, Weaver Mount, See-Thru 5. RWS Meisterkugeln Standard .177 Cal, 8.2 Grains, Wadcutter Pellets (I used other types of pellets as well. But. I have best results with these pellets. 6. RWS Rifle Shooter's Kit, .177 Caliber - for maintenance 7. Crosman Airgun Ammo Pouch, Holds 500 Pellets 8. Gamo Cone Pellet Trap (good for safe indoor shooting) And, I like shopping from Pyramydair because of its customer oriented perfect customer service.

Things I liked:

I actually had to return the first one for pellet seating issues. I could not get a pellet to seat all - any pellet. As usual returning something to Pyramid Air was very fast and trouble-free and I was pretty happy that I would get a a decent gun. The gun seems to be well built well-balanced and has very good accuracy potential however the non-seating pellet gets damaged upon Barrel closing so who knows how accurate the gun can be.

Things I would have changed:

Somebody at Diana should probably do a little bit of a QC and their guns. Things I would change would be having the people at Pyramid actually inspect the gun for the problem that it was returned for, not just take a box off the shelf and see that it shoots. The second gun arrived with lead shavings in and around the end of the barrel and Barrel seal. Which means the gun had the same problem which also means they didn't even inspect that as a problem which was the complaint of the first gun.

What others should know:

I received two separate guns and both had the same issue. No pellet wood seat flush with the back of the barrel no matter how hard tried with my thumb. If it's going to be a requirement of this gun to use some kind of seating tool that should be sent with the gun. But I don't think that's the problem. Needless to say I returned even the second gun because it was a lot of fun I thought but I'm not spending that kind of money on a German product that doesn't take the time to inspect chamber size. Diana is probably now very suspect as a purchasing option. And I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in Pyramid Air. It did not bother checking the problem that the gun was sent in for upon inspection. Oh and by the way I called airgun Depot afterwards to see if I could get them to send me a gun that they would inspect properly and much to my surprise and Chagrin the same lady that took my first complaint call at Pyramid was the lady at airgun Depot. They are sister companies. I did not know.

    Things I liked:

Ease of, enjoyment of shooting targets, great way to enjoy an afternoon

    Things I would have changed:

Needs better quality control. Mine arrive with a spring off causing the trigger to stick. While it wasn't difficult to repair it shouldn't have required repairing.

    What others should know:

    Order did arrive on time

    Things I liked:

the gun looks good and feels comfortable when shooting. It isn't difficult to cock, and I like the trigget pull.

    Things I would have changed:

I shoot at 4 inch circular targets on a 18" x 24" sheet of art paper and each target is devided into smaller circles (4", 3", 2" and 1" bull's eye). The 1st two shots at the target (at 30 feet, off of a rest) did not even hit the paper. I turned the height adjustment 4 clicks and fired two more rounds, hitting the paper 7" below and 1" left of the bulls eye. I continued firing pellets and making adjustments until I could no longer adjust the elevation adjustments. While I was able to get my groups down to 1/4", the best I could do was 3 & 1/2" low of the 1 inch bulls eye. I understand that Most if not all customers who purchased the Diana pistol were very happy with it and that is why I have returned it for a replacement. Hopfully, my next Diana will make me as happy as most of the other purchasers.

    What others should know:

Customer Service was GREAT, as usual. After explaining my problems, they provided me with an authorization return number and a shipping label.

Well made, easy to shoot and quite accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Although sights are good, range of sights is not.

    What others should know:

Rear sight will not go up enough or front sight to high, to sight in. Barrel droop.

    Things I liked:

Im just getting into air guns so learning as i go. I have a Gamo vigilante, Gamo p85 pistol, Umarex Trevox pistol, Bengi vaporizer 177 rifle and now this gun. Mid 500s using 7.6 gram pellets.. got some power for a pistol.

    Things I would have changed:

Lighter would be nice. Not a easy gun to site in because of its weight.

    What others should know:

Im still learning but the lp8 is a spring gun. Even my cheaper Trevox is gas charged. Lighten it up some and make a gen 2 with a gas piston .. this gun would be a beast.

    Things I would have changed:

Customer service, the rear sight broke and the high viz too, per Pyramid air recommendation I contacted Diana directly to know where I can get the parts : no answer yet in over a month

    What others should know:

Needs a better trigger and better customer service Love the gun and the accuracy ( superb! )

    Things I liked:

    Accurate. German made.

    Things I would have changed:

For goodness sakes, how much extra time at the factory to polish the trigger components. So, polish the trigger components. More power. I was hoping for at least 600fps with 7.4s

    What others should know:

Way overpriced for what you get; a pistol, a handle, and a cardboard box. I always use 7.4gr pellets for chronograph testing, so keep that in mind. Listed on website as 700fps. 20 shot groups at round numbers, 0 to 20, 50 to 70, 100 to 120, 200 to 220, 300 to 320, were a solid consistent 560/561 fps. Very consistent, and the barrel is accurate, Clover leaves, and same hole shots (from bench rest) at 10m. That said, I get 600+ fps from my Crosman 1377 pumper with very minimal drop in accuracy for $60. The cocking was smooth but the trigger on the Diana had to be fixed. It felt like after the first stage, when you are into the second stage it "stops" and is no longer smooth, it's like it hits a wall and added pressure just crashed through the stiffness. After disassembly and polishing it was perfectly smooth through the second stage. It's german made, so be aware they use a lot of parts for something that only requires 5. 2000+ rnds and it shoots like the first one.

Liked the power and accuracy in this springer.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs better grips or an available replacement set.

    What others should know:

This is a long pistol and not many suitable hard case options to fit.

    Things I liked:

Great pistol for the money. Mounted a Hawke red dot on it and it's quite accurate. Easy to load easy to cock, especially with the extension though it isn't required.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is crap. When slowly depressed, 2nd stage is erratic - sometimes fires immediately, and sometimes continues to a 3rd (?!) stage before firing. As is commonly noted, grip has sharp edges between the two sections. Unfortunately, Galbraith brothers is out of business, and Custom Firearms Products is moving their manufacturing and so there is currently no supplier of 3rd party wooden grips. I'm going to try cutting a sheet of Talon pro grip to see if I can improve the grip.

    What others should know:

It's big and rather heavy. Much louder than my HW75 Sig ASP, IZH-46m. About the same or slightly louder than my HW45.

    Things I liked:

Well made pistol. Powerful for the amount of effort it takes to charge it.

    Things I would have changed:

More information in the owner manual regarding maintenance of this pistol. A schematic of the pistol to show me where I put the cylinder oil and spring oil to keep it in prime shape. Also the trigger pull once you hit the wall is heavier than I like. I noticed a screw under the trigger guard. Would like to know what its for. Can I adjust the trigger pressure with this screw? If so which direction to lighten it up?

    What others should know:

When adjusting the elevation to sight the gun in, the directions in the owner guide appear to be incorrect. Follow the direction on the sight to raise the shot. It says the opposite in the owner guide.

    Things I liked:

Great pistol if you can get one with sights that work. Bench rest I can shoot dime sized groups at 12 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

Better sights. First gun shot 1 in. low at 12 yds. Returned gun to Amazon. 2nd. Gun shot 3 in. high with the rear sight at its lowest. Returned gun to Pyramid Air as defective and anxiously awaiting a replacement. Trigger has too much creep but I can work with it.

    What others should know:

Seems like several people bought the Galbraith grips. Appears that Galbraith no longer sells the grips for this gun. As I have extra large hands the stock grips work fine and Ill stick with them. Galbraith just look better. The JSB Exact Diablo 8.44 gr. and the Meisterkugeln 8.2 gr. pellets shot one whole groups at 36 ft.

    Things I liked:

First, while I ordered this product as pictured above, I was sent a different gun system. Same gun, but it came with a red dot scope, rifle stock and NO FRONT SIGHT! I love the quality of the gun, but specifically ordered it because it showed a front sight. The, "UPGRADED" model sent to me does not. So now I am forced to use a scope (NOT MY FAV! I prefer open sights). The gun is accurate and powerful for a pistol. Overall, I really like it except for the NO FRONT SIGHT! Bummed about that!

    Things I would have changed:

PUT A FRONT SIGHT ON THE GUN! Bummed they sent me the one without a front sight.

    What others should know:

GREAT GUN OVERALL. I am just upset that they sent me a gun system that I did not order and while this system did have some extras, it dd not have that front sight and that is why I specifically ordered the gun by itself and NOT the upgraded package they sent that does not have the sight. I was hoping to teach my Nephews how to shoot and open sight (the basics) is where I wanted to start with the training.

    Things I liked:

First of all I see that there is already 80 or so reviews of this gun and I now understand why ! This pistol is absolutely amazing ! I been buying and shooting Airguns since the 70s and own quite a few high end guns but I believe the LP8 might just be one of the finest Airguns Ive ever shot! This thing is awesome!

    Things I would have changed:

    Not a single thing!

    What others should know:

The repeatable accuracy is out standing, and on several different occasions Ive been able to get sub 1inch groups with open sights at 40 feet , and have been able to hit inch and half targets at over 80 feet which does not sound difficult but keep in mind that this is a spring gun with open sights and it is a pistol with a 7 inch barrel! I love this gun and it seems to love the Baracuda FT 9.57 gr. The best but it also seams to like the air arms 8.4 gr. Rows superdome 8.3 gr. And the Baracuda match 10.65 , you will not regret buying this gun !

    Things I liked:

First this is the second RWS LP8 that I own. The first is 15 to 20 years old with a 2X scope. For the price it cannot be beat. I shoot many hand guns of various calibers and the scoped pellet gun is for a indoor 10 meter range in our home. That scoped pellet gun permits many very different and difficult shooting processes with friends and family. I have trained MANY first time shooters using my indoor range and the removal of the scope to train with open sights was a pain! So I have a new person to train and again due to the price and years of performance I wanted a second matching dedicated open sight pellet gun without the hassle of those scope removals. It now permits shooting both conditions with no prep issues.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!

    What others should know:

Setting up a home range is very easy and it has permitted shooting sessions without planning or other travel expenses.
