The box states this has a 9.125" barrel. It does not. It has a 7" barrel.
The box states this gun delivers 700 fps. Airgun writer Tom Gaylord tested this gun for the Pyramyd AIR blog and got 755 fps when using extremly lightweight alloy (lead-free, 4.0 grains) pellets. If you use lightweight lead pellets (7.0 grains), your velocity will be around 560 to 580 fps. He found that Gamo Match pellets (7.56 grains) delivered the best accuracy when shooting the pistol from a rested position.

Ease of, enjoyment of shooting targets, great way to enjoy an afternoon
Things I would have changed:Needs better quality control. Mine arrive with a spring off causing the trigger to stick. While it wasn't difficult to repair it shouldn't have required repairing.
What others should know:Order did arrive on time

the gun looks good and feels comfortable when shooting. It isn't difficult to cock, and I like the trigget pull.
Things I would have changed:I shoot at 4 inch circular targets on a 18" x 24" sheet of art paper and each target is devided into smaller circles (4", 3", 2" and 1" bull's eye). The 1st two shots at the target (at 30 feet, off of a rest) did not even hit the paper. I turned the height adjustment 4 clicks and fired two more rounds, hitting the paper 7" below and 1" left of the bulls eye. I continued firing pellets and making adjustments until I could no longer adjust the elevation adjustments. While I was able to get my groups down to 1/4", the best I could do was 3 & 1/2" low of the 1 inch bulls eye. I understand that Most if not all customers who purchased the Diana pistol were very happy with it and that is why I have returned it for a replacement. Hopfully, my next Diana will make me as happy as most of the other purchasers.
What others should know:Customer Service was GREAT, as usual. After explaining my problems, they provided me with an authorization return number and a shipping label.

Is the front sight barrel shroud removeable ? So you can put a custom one on for scope use. And longer to make cocking easy. Instead of using the cocking assist handle ?
Will they ever make one in .20 or .22 ?
Can it kill small game?

I actually had to return the first one for pellet seating issues. I could not get a pellet to seat all - any pellet. As usual returning something to Pyramid Air was very fast and trouble-free and I was pretty happy that I would get a a decent gun. The gun seems to be well built well-balanced and has very good accuracy potential however the non-seating pellet gets damaged upon Barrel closing so who knows how accurate the gun can be.
Things I would have changed:Somebody at Diana should probably do a little bit of a QC and their guns. Things I would change would be having the people at Pyramid actually inspect the gun for the problem that it was returned for, not just take a box off the shelf and see that it shoots. The second gun arrived with lead shavings in and around the end of the barrel and Barrel seal. Which means the gun had the same problem which also means they didn't even inspect that as a problem which was the complaint of the first gun.
What others should know:I received two separate guns and both had the same issue. No pellet wood seat flush with the back of the barrel no matter how hard tried with my thumb. If it's going to be a requirement of this gun to use some kind of seating tool that should be sent with the gun. But I don't think that's the problem. Needless to say I returned even the second gun because it was a lot of fun I thought but I'm not spending that kind of money on a German product that doesn't take the time to inspect chamber size. Diana is probably now very suspect as a purchasing option. And I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in Pyramid Air. It did not bother checking the problem that the gun was sent in for upon inspection. Oh and by the way I called airgun Depot afterwards to see if I could get them to send me a gun that they would inspect properly and much to my surprise and Chagrin the same lady that took my first complaint call at Pyramid was the lady at airgun Depot. They are sister companies. I did not know.
