    Things I liked:

Purchased the .25cal, vortex last year. When I opened the box, I was super impressed with the craftmanship, the stock was just gorgeous for this cost. fitting excellent and trigger once you get passed the initial creep, lets of smoothly. Accuracy was superb at short 15 yrds all the way out to 30yrds, well within MOA if I did my part. speaking of doing your part, you will need to find the balance point while holding to get best accuracy, once you have identified this location accuracy is repeatable. I have had zero issues and have shot over 300 rounds and seems to be getting smoother and more accurate. part I am sure is we are both becoming familiar and worked in. I do not own a chrono so I have no idea of the velocity, it does hit the wood log I use for backstop with authority while flattening the Diablo's completely flat. They state 650 fps and I would guess this is accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger creep, but not a deal breaker at all, as stated above just take up the creep and it will let off fine in line with this price point. It does not appear to hinder my accuracy to the point of disappointment, however I do have decades of behind the trigger, and with all firearms practice practice practice...

    What others should know:

I am using the UTG 3-9 Bugeye and just a perfect match,

    Things I liked:

    Everything.

    Things I would have changed:

Pellets don't seem to be flush when loaded. I'm getting crushing on the skirts everytime I close the rifle. Barrel was very dirty and screws were lose.

    What others should know:

I got my rifle in .22 with the QE option. I'm limited to only leadfree pellets since I plan to hunt in CA. I tried two kinds. Gamo PBA Bullets (14.4gr) and H&N Baracuda Green (12.96gr). Gamo ones stick out way too much and the skirts get horribly crushed when closing barrel. Tried deep seating them but no avail. Shot two of those and stopped. Still have crushing on Baracudas but very little. All firing mentioned below is done with the Baracudas. Barrel was cleaned prior to firing. Day one of firing: 58F with 73% humidity 15 shots fired for test Average fps: 773 Range of Velocities: 812-735 Fps Velocity Variation: 77 By now around 25 shots were fired in total. Day two: 61F with 70% humidity 14 shots fired for test Average fps: 746 Range of Velocities: 755-735 Velocity Variation: 20 For the last test I shot from 12yd (all I have to work with). After I kept getting shots in the same hole I stopped. Hole was smaller than a dime. Plan to do more testing at longer ranges soon.

    Things I liked:

I own the .22 version Beautiful looking gun, shoots hard and accurate. Love the auto safety. Nice and heavy and quality materials. A blast to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

QC - my first one was a lemon. Bad piston, shot weak and innacurate. Pellets barely fit, and jammed several times. Barrel had a slight bend to it. Thankfully Pyramid was awesome and sent a perfect replacement. Great customer service. The bundled scope isnt very good, but works until you upgrade. A cheapo $30 Amazon scope was a huge improvement over the Optima.

    What others should know:

If it wasn't for Hatsans QC issues (this seems to be a common problem) I would have gave it 5 stars. It's a great gun, quality materials, and it's absolutely beautiful.

    Things I liked:

This gun had me ignoring my PCPs, it's that nice to shoot! And it will stand up against higher end break barrels twice it's price! The wood finish and metal are outstanding, and shoots fairly accurately out of the box! The action and cocking is stiff and very heavy initially! After shooting about 50 pellets through using the "iron" sights the action started becoming smoother. I then scoped it with an aftermarket scope...the included scope is marginal, at best! The picatinny rail on this gun is a great feature and will keep scope drift away. The gun isn't as pellet critical as some other break barrels, so I was able to pick out 3 kinds that work for this gun, one of which is the Crow Magnum! The more you shoot this gun the smoother and lighter the action gets and accuracy becomes even more consistent! The trigger is crisp and I haven't needed to adjust it at all. The safety works perfectly. I highly recommend this gun!

    Things I would have changed:

It is on the heavy side, but it helps buffer the recoil, so it's a good thing. I guess if anything, the scope...order a decent scope for this gun, it deserves it.

    What others should know:

Out of the box and until you get about 100 rounds through it, the action and cocking is very stiff and heavy, needing two hands to cock. I've got over 200 rounds through it now and the action is butter smooth and cockable with just one hand. Accuracy has gotten even better, on par with Euro guns. Lastly, LOCTITE (Blue) THE TRIGGER GUARD SCREWS, especially the rear one!!! They will loosen after about 20 shots and continue to do so until the screws and guard fall off!!! I had to put more on the rear screw because it still backed out after just a dab of LOCTITE. Again, LOCTITE THE TRIGGER GUARD SCREWS!!!

    Things I liked:

Nice looking and accurate; in the little time it was working.

    Things I would have changed:

Better Quality Control and Customer Service; repair or replace an obvious Factory "Lemon".

    What others should know:

I bought 2 Model 95 Vortex rifles at the same time. One would barely break 600FPS pot of the box. Sent back and when returned (WEEKS LATER) it shot average of 815FPS. A few months later, found gas cylinder completely dead. After much arguing and trouble for several weeks, they agreed to repair; but "NEVER AGAIN". Shot about 800FPS when returned and for a couple months, then noticed cocking effort and "crack" was not there when fired...didn't re-Chrono. Wasn't shot for several months, and then I had a Possum problem pop up. Got it out and cylinder was again dead. They did not repair or replace anything in my opinion. Only recharged the defective cylinder both times and returned. Now all I have is a pretty "wall hanger". I would stay clear of Hatsan as they didn't fix or replace a rifle with an obvious Factory defect from day one; and was actually pretty rude when asking for the second repair. Other rifle I bought for my Son is still shooting fine and is nearly 2 years old. Poor Service

    Things I liked:

This is my second Hatsan 95. Great quality at a great price. The .22 Vortex gas piston is smoother and easier to cock than the coil spring in my .177. Optima scope works great on my Daisy 880.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing on the gun.

    What others should know:

Be EXTREMELY specific with any special instructions to Pyramyd Air. I asked that "the UTG scope be set as far back in the rings as possible" for their 20 for 20 Deal. I DID NOT MEAN take off the scope stop and set the rings as far back in the dove-tail as possible so that within 20 shots the aluminum rings have crept back and are now scored by the end of the steel dove-tail. Needless to say, accuracy with the UTG scope suffered until I put the scope stop back on. Spring or Vortex makes no difference, it has to have a scope stop.

    Things I liked:

I use this to keep critters away from my bantam chickens, and I ran out of critters lol. I recieved this, took it to my little backyard range, and hit dead on at 25 yards. The scope is good for giving to your kids to use as a telescope or something.

    Things I would have changed:

Garbage scope is not worthy of being on such a nice rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

This was my second try at a Hatsan. Bought a Hatsan Edge for my lady last year. Gun arrived with a wobble barrel so I exchanged it for another brand. Tried Hatsan again thinking maybe I just needed to buy a better quality Hatsan so I tried the 95. The gas piston on the first rifle was defective out of the box. Pyramyd sent me a new one that worked well out of the box at first. After about 100 shots I noticed the barrel started to have vertical play affecting accuracy. Hatsan obviously has an issue with quality control. I sent the second 95 back to Pyramyd and am currently waiting on my refund. I'll just save my money for something of higher quality and will be avoiding Hatsan in the future.

    What others should know:

Quality control suffers greatly. If your Hatsan appears solid out of the box shoot the crap out of it and make sure it stays together.

    Things I liked:

I bought the 25 caliber version and shot it for the first time today. I found it fairly light, easy to cock, and quiet. As received the gun almost shot to point of aim being slightly high and right. A few quick adjustments and I was on target. The barrel was quite dirty with whatever the factory puts in there for protection from the elements but it cleaned up quickly. I couldn't resist putting some shots over the chrony and was impressed with it's consistent power plant. Numbers were very close to factory claims of 650fps. Taking 10 shots with H&N 19.9gr pellets it averaged 643fps with a low of 627 and high of 652. JSB Match Diabolo 25.3gr averaged 593fps with a low of 590 and high of 596. Predator Polymags 26gr averaged 618fps with a low of 615 and high of 621. I did not test for accuracy since it's brand new and it was windy here today but I did shoot some cans and small gong. The gong was set 35 yards away and I had no problem hitting it every time. Me likes this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I found it difficult to determine when the trigger was going to let off. I adjusted it per the manual instructions but it didn't make much difference. The first stage pull seems to lead right into the second stage and it's hard to tell one from the other. The pull isn't heavy, just hard to know when it's going to trip. The trigger also has quite a bit side to side movement. This doesn't seem to affect anything though. The scope is okay for what it is but the mounts only have one screw to hold it down. I didn't bother using the supplied mounts and put better ones that I had in my parts/accessories stash.

    What others should know:

Overall, this is a nice shooting rifle with a few quirks but for a sub $200.00 25 caliber rifle I have no complaints. It's smooth cocking and easy to shoot. If you're looking for a user friendly, hard hitting, 25 caliber rifle without spending a bunch of money this one is hard to beat.

    Things I would have changed:

Horrible.. horrible cocking stroke. Rough, tough, and it needs work. Also.. Accuracy

    What others should know:

I have owned over 10 break barrels in the past 1.5 years and I gotta say. The Hatsan 95 is definitely one of the best, BUT I am going to be THAT GUY that gives you a realistic review on it. The accuracy isn't not as good as I expected. I am getting just as good results, with my 120 dollar gamo break barrel from walmart. The gun looks, and feels great. The quality is great. Personally the rough, hard cocking stroke is crap. Maybe it's my gun, but it's not smooth, what so ever. And the trigger.. everyone says it's so great and I just don't see it.. My Gamo Whisper Fusion has a trigger that is just as nice, if not, nicer because of how smooth it is. Then again... It's only a 189 dollar gun. All in all, it's a nice gun, just needs work. I am hoping mine changes after a few hundred more shots. So far.. It has about 400 through it, and the cocking stroke has gotten worse, not better. Trigger has gotten worse, not better. Maybe I got a lemon?

    Things I liked:

THIS IS A REVIEW ON THE QE VERSION .25 cal: it is great in all respects same as a standard mod 95 but ...... they made the barrel shorter by about 8 inches to make space for the silencer, now i for one am not a fan of short barrels because it gives much less velocity in any air rifle and there does not seem to be a massive difference in noise reduction i personally would go for the standard version especially in .25 cal.

    Things I would have changed:

get rid of the QE its not helpful with velocity or noise reduction

    What others should know:

in my opinion the .22 caliber standard version is still top on the list when it comes to best bang for buck!! Also .25 does not seem as accurate as the .177 or .22

    What others should know:

After about 100 shots Vortex failed completely. Paid $50 to ship it back. I think they sent me another gun rather than repair, but in any case that one failed after 2 shots. Will look nice all the way to the dump I guess.

    Things I liked:

First impressions of the rifle upon opening, wow. This rifle is really well built. Many reviews mentioned this, and now I know why. The stock is of excellent quality, the fit and finish are great - really solid rifle on first inspection. Trigger, very good and it is tunable, this one I adjusted a little but only because I like to mess with things. Iron sites - not bad at all. Not as nice as my old RWS 34, but very functional and you could do a lot worse. I bought mine in .22 caliber and love the way it hits the target - hard... Not the zippy way a good .177 does, but a solid thunk. Love the vortex gas pistons ability to remain cocked for an extended period of time, my main reason for the purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a rear sling stud mount. This rifle will benefit from adding a sling if you are going to be walking in the woods for an extended period of time. Just like a deer rifle - same weight.

    What others should know:

People complain that this is a heavy rifle. It is heavy, but not too heavy - plus the weight holds it steady while shooting. No real recoil and the sound dampening system works well. If you are looking at adding an air rifle to your collection or just getting the first one, this is one you will be proud of. Save your money and get this rifle, don't waste your time with the cheaper Gamo or Crossman's.
