Description
The Quiet Energy Series (QE) models feature an integrated Sound Moderator in the muzzle break and are fully shrouded. Expect up to a 50% reduction in down-range noise when choosing the upgraded QE version!
The Hatsan 95 has proven itself over the years, and they've now kicked it up a notch by inserting a Vortex gas piston to replace the coiled metal mainspring. If you've shot spring-piston guns before, you're in for a treat when you pull the trigger on this model!
If you enjoy hunting or pest elimination, or you're just waiting for that squirrel to pop up his head one more time in your vegetable garden, then the Vortex 95 is the rifle for you. Sometimes, you have to leave your rifle cocked for a few minutes as you wait for the right opportunity to appear. You shouldn't do that with a gun that has a coiled metal spring, as the spring will deteriorate whenever the gun is cocked for an extended period of time. But, you can do that all the time with your 95 equipped with a Vortex gas piston!

10 of 150 Hatsan 95 Combo Vortex Reviews
Fit and finish is nice.
Things I Would Have ChangedVery heavy air gun. Gun shoots lower than the sights will adjust
What Others Should KnowCould have purchased a budget pcp for what this cost
Despite it's heavy weight, it won't "break" when I set it down on the bag too hard. At 8lbs it is on the heavy side but this is primarily a bench gun so what may be a con for others works to my benefit down-range. The trigger is great once you get to know it. The scope-stop all but eliminates movement, once I was zero'd my bugbuster on bkl 1-piece 3" mount has not budged. I also really like the safety. I avoid firearms with a manual safety and that habit translates over to air rifles typically. But the 95's safety is natural feeling and I like it.
Things I Would Have ChangedI dont care for the foregrip of the stock. The mandatory-scope for the vortex-qe version is so terrible. Im extremely budget conscience and tried to make it work but we eventually shot the scope itself. not worth the trouble to even ship it. Sell one without the scope. The QE baffles are terrible and the clearance strips very little air. Thankfully Hatsan really went the cheap route and ALL QE models have the EXACT same set of baffles. Aftermarket replacements are plentiful and magnitudes better than OEM. Machine head screw in the stock is very soft and strips too easy.
What Others Should KnowThe safety is "loose" when engaged. It can make a rattling that is surprising. You might find other rattling too as all of the screws need to be tightened up and blue threadlock added. Ditch the stock baffles, GeoffK sells a 10-stage baffle on an auction site its WAY better and worth every penny. The barrel will be FILTHY when it arrives. pull a couple patches soaked in goo gone, maybe half a dozen. Then it took just as many dry patches until mine was clean. Dieseling was tough for 20-50 pellets. After 100 push another dry patch thru if the dieseling is done . Some guys talk about 1k break-in periods but my 11 year old stacks pellets at 11 yards all day once we got it zero'd. He's never shot ANYTHING before, let alone something inherently more difficult like springer/gas-piston. It prefers superdomes, jsb 18.13 .
Accurate
Things I Would Have ChangedVery loud
What Others Should KnowThis is a sound suppressed model, yet it is still very loud.
Gas piston with QE. Nice wood stock.
Things I Would Have ChangedMetal trigger guard instead of plastic.
What Others Should KnowI'm a smaller adult(5 foot 3 inches) and a senior citizen. Takes quite a bit of effort to cock.
Having all the items included.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would add a sling to the combo
What Others Should KnowTake the time to sight it in....you will have a blast with it!
Overall appearance is nice. Good checking on the stock.
Things I Would Have ChangedCome with better scope
What Others Should KnowNo
Gregg's outstanding service Quality of thee rifle
Beautiful stock, pretty accurate. East to handle Pyramid Air was very good to work with!
Things I Would Have ChangedScope was not very good.
What Others Should KnowI added a Picatinny mount and a scope I had on hand. Accurate now.
It wasn't that hard to cock. . .as some mentioned. But I can say that my wife had a harder time cocking it. Easy to load pellets. I love the safety on it. Easy to push on and off. thus the automatic safety didn't bother me.
Things I Would Have ChangedSomething different about that screw behind the trigger. . . It ALWAYS comes loose. . . probably from Vibration when shooting.
What Others Should Know1. I have about 150 shots through this gun. It is still dieseling on me from the manufacturers oil.
After about 6 months, I decided to take the scope off. I tried to sight in with iron sites. I had to
push the rear sight all the way to the left in order to hit where I am aiming at. This puzzled me for
a while. Tried a different scope that was better, and that worked out well. A month later I
took off the scope and tried the iron sights.
Still wondering why the rear sight was all the way to the left, I started to examine the system.
I found out that the barrel was twisted to the left slightly, causing the front sight to be slightly
towards the left. Then it call made sense why my rear sight was to the left so far.
Another thing happened. The nut and bolt that holds the gun to the stock on the front snapped.
It is hollow inside. This is two problems I am having with this gun.
I have tried to Contact HatsanUSA TWICE through their website and no response. I am not
happy
