    Things I liked:

I really like the un itself. I have yet to adjust the trigger, mainly because I don't know how. but the way it is right now Overall I am pleased as punch. Wish I had gotten a piece of wood like everyone else is crowing about. A few strichs, but no figure, but that is the luck of the draw I guess.

    Things I would have changed:

Nice piece of wood, but see abpove comment. Still pleased as punch with the gun and especially with the price. My first gun larger than .177 and I am happy.

    What others should know:

I can not believe how accurate it is RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I have done no real test, but all the cans are jumping and I did hang a load of medicine on my new target setup and I am hitting them quite well off hand. WHAT I AM REALLY ANGRY ABOUT is myself. I was awaken a shirt by a noise in the kitchen. It was a possum and he or she was on my counter licking a frying pan. It was also in front of my window A/C so I could not use the 10-22. I grabbed my little 1077 .177 crosman and it went Poot poot. It was out of gas. I SHOULD HAVE GRABBED the .25. If I had that possum would have been dead. The gun IS GREAT. Get one if yoiu are a newbie to larger calibers. You will have a ball. It was a little hard to co0ck the first dozen rounds, but now iy is no problem. I am now sitting up over a can of cat food trying to bait it back up for a rematch. This time with the 95/.25. Come on possum, "Make my Day"

    Things I liked:

I like this gun. I chose it 1) to try out a gas-spring without too much $, and 2) wanted the open-sight option. I am pleased with both and with the power of this gun, very good value for the money. The action is crisp in cocking and firing, has a sturdy feel. The sights were decently dialed in out of the box, and the trigger is better than most in this price range.

    Things I would have changed:

I've put a couple thousand pellets through it now - the screws holding the stock have loosened a couple of times and required re-tightening. It's medium-loud for the 'burbs, I wish it had a larger suppressor but it's not a huge deal.

    What others should know:

If you've only shot springers before (like me) you're in for a treat with the gas-spring recoil on this gun. Some commenters mention the high cocking force - it's true. It gets better after breaking in (maybe 4-500 shots or so) but it takes some effort. I'm a pretty big dude but it's a good workout for me to put an afternoon's worth of pellets through it.

    Things I liked:

I purchased the .22 gas ram rifle and like it very much. The stock is nice looking. It has been accurate right out of the box but I did pay the $10.00 for the 10 for 10 so they could check out the trigger, gas piston and make sure it will shoot properly. They indicated that on the 10 shots it was shooting between 804.42 to 957.44 using the RWS Hobby .22 cal, 11.9 Grains pellets. I was surprised how hard hitting it was.

    Things I would have changed:

    So far nothing.

    What others should know:

I have taken it right out of the box and have only shot about 50 pellets thru it and the sights has been dead on. I have not had time to set up the scope yet. People has indicated the rifle was heavy but it is not that heavy. I was told that if I wanted quality and accuracy this was the best gun to buy. I have not disappointed so far. I have not had to adjust the trigger yet, it feels like I am shooting my 22 rifle.

    Things I liked:

The Q-trigger (best I've ever squeezed on a pellet gun), the fiber-optic sights (a bit high out of the box, but I'll neither want nor need to install that scope), ease-of-cocking (stiffer at first, but smoother now), the evident quality & precision of the mechanism, and frankly, that it wasn't made in China. Not that there's anything wrong with that. See Ruger Yukon. I've been a .22 multi-pump advocate all along, but had been researching .22 alternatives FOR YEARS. Now I'm in love again...with this Hatsan 95!

    Things I would have changed:

I didn't care for all the ad/printing on TOP of the barrel. I prefer real wood stocks over black plastic "tactical" ones, but I don't think this "shoe polish brown" Turkish walnut is particularly attractive. It's not as gracefully shaped as I might prefer, and I'd just as soon do without the checkering all together. The rifle was heavier than I imagined (and that's without the scope), and longer. Then again I'm a small man, so YMMV. This Hatsan would benefit from sling swivel clips...yes, I know I can install those myself--and will--but it would be such a small, but much appreciated courtesy for Hatsan to throw in. I'd opt for a shorter shoulder stock and longer rubber pad. I'd offer the gun for sale WITHOUT the scope as an option.

    What others should know:

I'd put this in the same league as a .22 rimfire. It is not too loud for backyard plinking, but depending on the pellet used, going supersonic is a possibility. I have not tried any hi-velocity (read lo-weight) alloy pellets yet.
The Hatsan 95 is also in the same league insofar as recoil goes.

Solid built gun. Love the open sights. Built like a TANK! Great customer sales rep!!!

    What others should know:

You will need to put some medium Lock tight on some of the screws and mounts if you added a scope. A few on the rifle and scope came loose after shooting a couple hundred rounds. This gun also takes a while to break in for accurate shooting. Very powerful rifle, so it can be tiresome after cocking it allot.

    Things I liked:

Nice looking air rifle, very powerful. The walnut stock very well finished.Cocked hard at first, but is smoothing out after a hundred rounds or so.I am amazed at the penetration of .25 caliper pellets and how accurate this rifle is.I was hitting an 8 inch steel gong at a 125 yards with most shots. My shooting buddy could not believe an air rifle could hit anything at that range. My .177 and .22 air rifles are not even in the same class as a .25 caliper.I did change out the scope to a leapers 3X9 and a solid one piece mount for it.Would highly recommend this rifle anybody who wants a powerful, accurate air rifle. Also the trigger pull on this gun is great, nice and smooth and helps a lot for accuracy. All and all a great rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

A little on the heavy side, but I guess it is that way because of it's design.

    What others should know:

At this time it seems to like most pellet weights.I like the H&N Field target trophy 19.91 grain,my rifle seems to like them, and shoots them very fast and they are accurate.I also like the vortex gas spring, shoots with almost no recoil.

    Things I liked:

Very powerful, the pellets completely get flattened and torn apart in my pellet trap. Great over all quality/fit and finish. Really happy with the walnut stock. Great accuracy, it was almost dead on with the iron sights out of box. very good accuracy with the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope provided could be a lot better. the 3-9 magnification is great however without an adjustable parralax you can have some issues closer up. Aslo my scope was broken out of box, the reticle was broken. I contacted Pyramid air who referred me to Hatsan. Hatsan told me where to fill out the warranty form online. I got a response back from Hatsan the same day i filled out the form, and they had a replacement scope in the mail the first thing nest morning.

    What others should know:

Both Pyramid Air and Hatsan had great customer service, I was astounded at how fast they got back to me and got the issue fixed.

    Things I liked:

The wood stock is beautiful with nice wavy wood grain. The metal parts have a nice black coloration. The trigger is gold plated and very light and predictable. Appears to be quite accurate so far.

    Things I would have changed:

Use the same raised cheek piece stock as the Hatsan Striker 1000X that sells for less money. Sell the rifle without a scope, so I could buy a better scope without paying for a scope I do not like.

    What others should know:

The "10 for 10" test I purchased with this rifle produced an average of 632 FPS. However, on my tests with the exact same lead pellet, the best 10 shot string I got was an average of 599 FPS. All of the other 10 shot strings averaged less than 599 FPS.
Even with the lower FPS, this rifle hits hard with the JSB 25.39 grain pellets.

    Things I liked:

I spent quite a while watching/reading reviews on Youtube before deciding on the Hatsan 95 Vortex and I'm not one bit disappointed in the choice!! Very well made, minimal recoil with the Vortex gas piston, very nice solid feel with the wood stock, minimal effort to cock the barrel and more accurate than I thought it would be right out of the box and it only got better after I tweaked the iron sights a bit. I'd highly recommend the Hatsan 95 Vortex combo to anyone looking for a solid air rifle in the $200.00 price range!!

    Things I would have changed:

Only 1...the scope is a decent starter and not bad once sighted but consider like I did upgrading to a better one at some point.

    What others should know:

The scope wasn't bad but after reading quite a few reviews in quite a few places, I upgraded to a Hawke Sport 3-9x40 HD AO scope with the Hawke 1 piece match mount rings. Got it sighted but haven't had a chance to put a lot of rounds in the target yet but so far, money VERY well spent on the upgrade!!

cheek piece on stock, better finish on stock however the current one is decent offer without the scope to bring down the price

    What others should know:

obviously much smoother recoil than a "springer"

    Things I liked:

Built very well and has a very beautiful stock. The scope rail is great and has a stop at the end. The iron sites are good and have fiber optics.

    Things I would have changed:

Instead of a dovetail rail a weaver rail but it still works great. A better trigger that can be ajusted down to a lower weight.

    What others should know:

Buy a (UTG 11mm-to-Weaver Adapter, Vertical Scope Stop Pin) it works great and my scope hasnt traveled at all. I also got a (Hawke Sport Optics 4X32 AO Sport HD Rifle Scope, Mil-Dot Recticle, 1/4 MOA, 1" Tube) which works well with the gun. It only took me two days to zero it. I also put a sling on it using uncle charlie hardware. I was looking for a gun well worth the money and that would last and this gun was the one.

    Things I liked:

Outstanding fit and finish. High quality and it shows in the details and appearance. Lighter than my older break barrel .22. Trigger is nice right out of the box, smooth and predictable but will be even better once I adjust it.

    Things I would have changed:

Get rid of the awful scope in the combo! I would rather pay less for the rifle alone of a little more and get something useful. I rated the value for the money as a four because of the scope.

    What others should know:

So far I have only put about 40 pellets through it but it is pretty accurate right out of the box, I'm certain it will group even better after a 100 or so more. If you are looking for a solid performer that isn't too hard on the wallet then this is a fantastic choice!

    Things I liked:

This is a beautiful air rifle! LOVE the walnut stock and the fit of the metal to the wood and that scent of the wood. It's like many reviewers, if not all, said it was. It's about the same weight as my deer rifle which makes it great for practice for me. Accuracy? It's there! Just sighted it in today and was putting shots into the same area - if I was bench firing, I'm sure it would have been dead nuts in the same hole. Can be tiring on the arms for a younger shooter, but it's really not that bad as some commenters seem to make it out to be. VERY nice trigger, smooth right out of the box, sights were good right out of the box at least at 20 yards. Nice sight picture with the fiber sights. At 56 years of age, if I can shoot this and operate it this well, it's a pretty sweet gun all around.

    Things I would have changed:

Have to agree with others - make the trigger guard metal. One other thing I'd change is the stock - just improve it. It's a mass produced stock - could use some fine tuning i.e. the pistol grip area and the sides kind of belly out instead of being flat. I guess you could call it fat. Not overly bad though. Room for doing your own customizing if you want to.

    What others should know:

I put a red dot on this gun instead of the scope - from Pyramid Air (Center Optics model 70301) and zeroed it in at 20 yards. Shooting off hand and not a bench. The sight works great, but you have to add the adapter to it to mount it which puts it kind of high (I like my scope as close to the receiver as I can get it). You'll also have to add to the comb of the stock to get your shooting position comfortable. I'll attach photos showing my first shots with this gun and to demonstrate what the sight looks like on this rifle. If you don't add to the comb of the stock, you'll develop bad shooting habits so take the time if you use the same setup. Oh, and I think the reason my shots are not all in the bull is because I had a hard time seeing the center and had to guess a bit. All shots are off hand in a kneeling position.

Built like a tank, Solid walnut stock,Power! Goes right thru 1/2 plywood at 35 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Can't think of any, hopefully parts and aftermarket will catch up.

    What others should know:

For this kind of power it is tiring to cock, My gun is brand new with only about 40 rounds thru it so it will probably ease up with time.

    Things I liked:

This is by far the best Air Rifle I have ever shot! It is right on the money accurate, every time! Plus it has a beautiful wood stock and blue finish on the metal. Very solidly built and only two screws to take the barrel off. You may think that is a weak spot but it's not. I have shot Crossman Premier Hollow point .22, RWS Superdome .22, H&N Sport Baracuda Match .22 and RWS Meisterkugeln .22. I did not need to change the scope settings at all. Amazing! I have shot over 500 pellets so far, cleaned it twice and working great. Having a lot of fun! Oh yeah, the fiber optic sights are also accurate. I also want to give thanks to Pyramyd Air's excellent tech support and their word! They stand by everything they say and have the most knowledgeable staff around! I am so grateful to have purchased from them.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see a choice of not having a scope at a lesser price and a Dual Accessory Rail like on the MOD 135.

    What others should know:

The 10 for $10.00 Test is well worth the money! As with all new airguns, you need to clean them first, Reset the screws with 240 Blue threadlocker and let sit for 24hrs. Be ready to not see your wife and kids because you'll be having too much fun with this Rile!

    Things I liked:

    - Accuracy - Walnut stock - Build quality - Power - Smooth action - Gas Piston

    Things I would have changed:

    - Sloppy lateral movement in the trigger (can be easily fixed with a tiny washer)

    What others should know:

If you are on the fence about getting this gun or an RWS 34, I would choose this gun again and again. The trigger was very wobbly on the 95 when I received it. I was very upset because I had just returned an RWS 34 to (PA) because it had extreme barrel droop and exchanged it for the 95 Vortex. I didn't want a problem to happen again so I payed for the 10 for 10 service. Instead of sending the 95 back to (PA) I decided to take a chance and see if I could fix the Quattro trigger myself, luckily it payed off. All it needed was a tiny washer to shim the lateral movement and it works perfectly now. Whew! If you so happen to get the RWS 34 that's a great gun too. It was very accurate and came with a lifetime warranty. The quality was about the same but the T06 trigger on the RWS 34 was amazing. The RWS 34 does cost a lot more then the 95 Vortex, but I think the trigger and the warranty are what you are really paying for. However, you don't get a gas piston with the 34!

    Things I liked:

Its got power and accuracy. The included scope works great. In fact I purchased a Hawke 3-9x50 for this rifle and so far haven't installed it, perhaps latter

    Things I would have changed:

It would be hard to change something that works

    What others should know:

I have chosen the .25 cal just to see what a heaver pellet would/could do. Al thought the weather hasn't been the best for outdoor shooting I have been able to put about 100 down range, about 30 yards. I have five other pellet rifles of various manufactures and the is the first that I needed both hands to cock. Now this is not to say that it wont loosen up as time goes by, but right now it takes a little extra energy. Checking on my scale when cocking I find it's about 38 lbs, but I'm no expert in this area. The rifle is a little heavy but for what it is design for I wouldn't expect anything less. Heavy means less recoil. Over all I really like this rifle and look forward to better weather.

    What others should know:

I purchased the 0.22 caliber and am pleased with the recommended Diablo Jumbo Pellets. They easily pass through both sides of a steel can at 25 yards. This rifle should last at least 1-2 decades.
