    Things I liked:

The first thing I did was buy a tech force rifle scope (4-12x40). Set up a ten meter target and within 30 pellets (H&N Sport barracuda 10.65 grain) had the Hatsan zeroed. The trigger was super smooth for me making it easy to stay on target while squeezing the trigger. I found it very accurate. The rifle looks good.

    Things I would have changed:

I would raise the price for a better scope.

    What others should know:

My rifle was very accurate with heavy pellets as was stated by the manufacture.

    Things I liked:

The stock and checkering. Accuracy/power with open sites and scope. First day shooting it I was able to get down to 1 inch groups at 42 yards (just happens to be the distance in my back yard). Will easily go through a 1x6 fence board at that range. I also took ten shots at 90 yards from standing with the open sites and had surprising results.

    Things I would have changed:

I would definitely trade the scope for a case in this combo. I did use it with some success but it just made me want to try a better scope. I have a $20 scope on another pellet rifle that is better.

    What others should know:

Over all I was VERY impressed with this rifle. Although I read many very good reviews on the Quattro trigger mine came with the adjustment screws bottomed out leaving me with no further adjustment and wishing I could lighten the pull a little more. As-is it is not a bad trigger. With a little searching on line I found this common in US rifles and it seams to be a easy fix.

    Things I liked:

No plastic. It is more accurate than most shooters. Reasonable scope not quite powerful enough for my eyes. Great exercise for my biceps and chest muscles (cocking effort). Easy to load with pellet pen.

    Things I would have changed:

Would rather have peep sight but just my personal preference

    What others should know:

I read all the reviews before buying this gun in .22 cal. I bought it even with all the scope complaints. My personal feeling is the scope is OK if you bother to set up correctly. I stated I needed a more powerful scope only because my eyesight is poor. I would suggest setting the scope again after the rifle has been fired a can of pellets. Is it a great scope...no! But is it a worthless scope.... no. Its a functional scope that keeps the price of this rifle where we can afford it!

    Things I liked:

Nice looking rifle, shoots very well. Scope is OK on medium to low settings, high settings not so well.

    Things I would have changed:

Is a little heavy, but that's because it is built very well. My first break barrel, takes some muscle and getting use to break.

    What others should know:

Very nice rifle for the money.

    Things I liked:

Value for the money is great even if the scope and rings are junk. Add a Leepers or Hawke scope of your choice with an OA. They are both magnum air rifle rated and reviews are solid for them. Enjoy the sport!

    Things I would have changed:

Drop the price for the bare rifle, or offer a gun case for the same price and call it a combo. The thumb screw mounts and no brand "Optima" scope without an adjustable objective is less than thrilling. There is not one reviewer who likes this scope.

    What others should know:

I contacted Hatsan through their webs site about an inferior walnut stock finish. They emailed me back within 3 hours and offered to pay shipping both ways to replace the stock or the complete gun and send me a tin of pellets! Got to say it is the best customer support I have ever had from anyone ever. Accuracy is greatly improved using an artillery hold. USA Olympians use it and if you Google there is a good video for this hold on the rifle.

    Things I liked:

Beautiful finish, sturdy. Stock is equal to those on high end fire arms. Power is pretty awesome. I have a 177 and it is a flat shooting rifle with this round. I swabbed the barrel and it still took about a 100-150 shots to calm down and achieve the accuracy I expected. Lots of dieseling for at the beginning

    Things I would have changed:

As beautiful as the stock is, a little more maching could be done to reduce the weight and probably still have a soilid rifle. I hate tru-glo sites (all of them). An improvement in accuracy ouls be had by ditching these sights. The scope will get you started but that is about it. I already replced mine, man what a sweet little package.

    What others should know:

Expect to run 100-200 rounds through this thing to get the accuracy some folks are claiming. Personally at 35 yards, with only a coat to rest the rifle on I can get nickel size 3 shot groups sometimes smaller and an ocassional flyer probably due to pellet integrity. This thing is hard to get some heavier pellets in so make sure you seat them well. I have been playing with it at 100 yds with a 10.5 poer scope and getting shot 4 inch groups. I need a more powerfull scope.

    Things I liked:

This arrived in 2 days! Awesome,How does that happen? I searched the internet and talked with many about which rifle to get to help with chipmunks and squirrels at my home in town. I had thought I would get a Gammo Whisper (friend has one) but I ended up deciding on the Hatsan mainly based on the reviews and the price. I have no regrets and will definatly purchase another if needed. The packaging was normal to good with plenty of protection. Upon first inspection, this rifle has a solid feel, and very nice appearance. This certainly does not look or feel like a pellet rifle. I shot 40 rounds with the open sights and then mounted the scope and within 20 rounds had an accurate 2" group at 40 yards. I have used this every weekend since I purchased, it is a blast and accurate. I now can put them in a 1" bullseye nearly every time. It has plenty of power for in town varmint. I have reduced and possibly eliminated the red squirrel population. If you want a simple solid accuate shooting air rifle, look at the Hatsan, you will have no regrets!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, the only complaint I read online was the scope quality, I feel it is very adequate for in town varmint and mine has not come loose at most described.

    What others should know:

Having the best luck with Beaman Crow Magnum, the crossman hp did not seem to have the accuracy and penetration

the wood is very nice for this gun, Action is ease enough for me and my wife to set, Good balance over all ,Trigger is nice for the price of what you get here .

    Things I would have changed:

Ditch the scope from the factory and sell separately, I made a great choice in upgrading to a 3x9x40 U.T.G. SCOPE

    What others should know:

It is a little heavy but not so bad you can't lug it for hunting tree rats or bugs bunny. I'm 6,2 and 50 plus and I carry it on long hunts.

    Things I liked:

This is a great value in an Airgun. The stock is beautiful Turkish Walnut. The trigger is outstanding with some adjustments. The "SAS" really does take the edge off the recoil. The accuracy is outstanding. I would say it is the best deal on the market!

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is better than the rings. This gun deserves much better though. If money is tight this scope will get you by but you need better rings.

    What others should know:

I have 2 of these, one in .177 and 0ne in .25. The .25 is my favorite. The .177 came in very oily. Clean the gun when you get it especially the barrel. Degrease all the screws and snug them down with gun tight. These 95's get the velocity as advertised by Hatsan with average LEAD PELLETS! Everybody else uses non lead (light weight) pellets to boost velocity ratings. Great gun and I would highly recommend this Air Rifle!

    Things I liked:

The gun is beautifully finished and as soon as you pick it up, you know it is going to be a beast. The stock and finish all around is exceptional. Iron sites were pretty dead on at 10 meters and the the fiber optics gathered enough light indoors to be useful. The gun is powerful. Using JSB Match Diabolo Exact King .25 Cal, 25.4 Grains at exactly 10 meters the gun blew through a 3/4" pine board. At that distance after siting the scope, I am getting consistent 1.5" groups - the gun with this ammo has plenty of potential, but the included scope is a hinderance.

    Things I would have changed:

Include a scope that's appropriate for this gun. This gun is probably efficient to 25-30 meters max. In my basement testing at 10 meters the scope is really tough to use - parallax issues, unclear picture, etc. With a clear picture, I know I could tighten up those 1.5" groupings. As a proof point, I needed to have my daughter stand at my side with binoculars to confirm the shot because I couldn't clearly see results through the scope.

    What others should know:

Please note that I like this gun and any deduction in points is based on the total package (gun and scope). This gun is big and heavy. It's probably best used with sticks or a tripod. After 10-15 reloads you feel the affects of that big spring on your arms. I'm confident, however, this gun will help in my planned pest/varmint control efforts.

    Things I liked:

This is one really good looking rifle. It is the first real pellet gun i have owned. My first BB gun was when I was 6 (nearly 70 years ago) and I have had one almost continuously since. But prior to this, my best one was a Daisy 880 that can shoot pellets but I always just used BBs. I am blown away at the quality of this weapon in comparison. I purchased it mostly for target shooting but probably will use it once in a while to get rid of pests. Many have said that the scope is poor. I have no basis for comparison as I never used one before. My old 22 never had one and neither did the M1 I shot in the army. My Daisy 880 came with one and after one look through it I simply trashed it. This one was my salvation for this rifle (see my comments below). I found the scope to be ok as long as I don't use the zoom. Zooming simply gives it tunnel vision. I really see no need for me to zoom so for my purposes this is not a big problem.

    Things I would have changed:

Very first thing would be the hard sights. Since I had never used a scope, I intended to continue and use the hard sights. In fact I never even considered any rifle that did not have hard sights. But I found that I could not zero in the hard sights on this rifle because the back sight would not adjust down far enough. Even with it cracked down completely my shots were consistently about 1.5" high when shooting from 25 yards. I also felt that the front and back sight combination was a bit too wide making sighting a bit difficult. I was about to return the weapon but decided first to try it with the scope. I was able to quickly zero the scope and my shots formed what for me is a pretty tight grouping (from 25 yards roughly 1.5" diameter, probably not good for most you reading this). The other thing I would try to change would be the weight. While i do not have a big issue with the weight, it does seem a bit high for a pellet gun. As I recall the M1 was around 10 pounds and considered to be rather heavy. Pellet gun is over 8 pounds approaching the M1 weight but of course not coming close in firepower or distant accuracy

    What others should know:

I have tried two different pellets so far. The first is Benjamin Discovery .22 Cal, 14.3 Grains, Hollowpoint and the second is JSB Diabolo Jumbo Exact Heavy. I bought the Benjamin as my "starter " pellet because it was less expensive and had a pretty good user rating. I bought the JSB because I found it to have a much better user rating although it was a bit more expensive. So far I have made three shot comparisons. In each case I shot 10 of each pellet from 25 yards then measured the XY coordinates and compared the means and standard deviations. In each case the the standard deviations were similar (meaning no difference in precision). However the JBS pellets hit consistently lower and a bit to the left, meaning I would need to adjust my scope a bit when using the JBS. I may try another pellet later but for now I will stay with the Benjamin Discover.

1st. Purchased a Crosman TR77. Powerful but fake suppressor was crooked. Sent it back and got the 95. First of all PA is great in service. Can't beat em. I'm glad I got the 95 instead. Its a great pellet rifle. I got the .177. If the .22 was 1000fps in this model I'd buy another one. Stock on 135 too long. The Hatsan 95 is a 5 star all around!

    Things I liked:

Very sturdy construction, hard to believe this is an air rifle. Fit and finish is superb. This is not a toy gun. It's easily as heavy as any of my hunting rifles. I'm just using the factory sights and had to adjust the elevation all the way down, the windage was set right on from the factory. I haven't mounted the scope yet, but once I do this will be a devastating varmint gun.

Love the Turkish walnut stock, especially on a rifle in this price range. Good sights and great power and accuracy. Heavy, but well balanced.

    Things I would have changed:

Would like to see more usable trigger adjustment. Trigger pull is near 5 lbs. and i have not been able to lighten it. Maybe it will get better after i have shot it more and things smooth out.

    What others should know:

I would highly recommend this rifle for anyone wanting a Good quality, high powered, accurate shooting .22 cal. air rifle at a Great price. Will make a good small game rifle. Takes a bit to break the barrel and cock it. Not a gun for kids.

    Things I liked:

This is the best spring rifle at this price point. My rifle arrived in perfect condition. It surpassed my expectations in quality. The walnut stock is worth the price of the rifle. It shoots well. It's not quite the shooter that my RWS is, but it's 90% as good at half the price. I wanted a 22 cal. rifle for squirrel control, and it's very good at that. It's very accurate with open sights. It is definitely is more accurate than my ability to aim it. Well done Hatsan.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope is not very useful. Hatsan should offer this without the scope. It needs a better mount to properly hold the supplied scope, as this rifle does have a medium amount of recoil.

    What others should know:

This rifle shoots quite differently with different pellets. The crosman hollow points are very effective against squirrels, but are hard to load. The air arms domed are easier to load. For better accuracy, don't hold this rifle too tightly. The stock will be too large in the grip area for those with small to medium size hands. This is an adult size and weight gun.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Probably the best value for your money in a spring airgun for less than $200. Stock is beautiful. Lockup and barrel are much nicer quality than you should expect for a gun that costs $150. It is also mostly accurate, at least out to 10-12 yards (as that is what I have tested so far). It is a new gun though, so the few fliers that I am getting are probably due to the gun not being broken in. Trigger is great out of the box. It breaks cleanly with about 2.5 pounds of pressure. On top of that you can adjust it in four different ways if you want to. Sights are good and have both elevation and windage adjustments.

    Things I would have changed:

Fit and finish on everything that isn't the stock and the blued metal is pretty poor. The painted metal pieces have chips in them and the plastic on the trigger guard and the end of the barrel is rough and filled with mold lines. Ill clean up the paint chips myself, but for a company that says they test all their guns before shipping them....why wasn't that caught? Also, make sure the first thing you do when you take it out of the box is to tighten all of the screws. The screws on mine were so loose, it may as well have been a kit instead of a complete gun. I'm almost surprised it didn't fall apart when I picked it up. The scope it comes with is also pretty poor. The optical quality is pretty low end. With no adjustable parallax its not really all that useful for the 10-25 yard shooting that this gun will be doing. Id prefer it if they just dropped the scope out of the package and reduced the price by the $5-10 dollars the scope must be costing them. I know that that is all you are going to get for such an inexpensive gun...but why bother in the first place then?

    What others should know:

Excellent gun for the money, but realize that they did have to cut some corners to get such a good mechanism and stock out at this price point. Don't forget to tighten those screws....

    Things I liked:

Very nice looking and seems well built.

    Things I would have changed:

quality control needs some work at Hatsan.

    What others should know:

The scope literally fell apart before I got 30 shots through it, the dovetail mounts seem off and won't accept any mount very good, it only allows for the lip of the mount to just barely grab. My other air rifle allows the mounts to mount deep and secure in the dovetail channel. Also make sure all bolts are tight I found several loose after the end sight pulled off while cockining it. Overall I am not pleased with the gun or the excuses the guy gave me that handled my return, but the gun looks and feels like it would be great. I look forward to getting hopefully a good replacement so I can see what it is capable of. I would love to get a good one and give it a great review, but at this time I can't recomend this gun to anyone.

    Things I liked:

I am not an experienced air rifle consumer, so I reviewed other reviews to determine my choice on the Hatsan 95/177cal. The rifle is very nice looking with nice detail to the walnut stock, the listed weight of 7.8 lbs appears to be good, when the weight for the Hatsan Torpedo 100X, under lever is 9.2 lbs. and the Hatsan 135, spring-piston weight of 9.2lbs jumping from the 95's .177 cal. 1000fps to the 135's .177 cal. 1250fps. The rifle feels solid and substantial, adjusted the sights and the trigger, works well. Mounted and adjusting the scope was easy. Appears to be good quality. About the only thing I know about the scope is that I can see the target, make shot adjustments enabling me to hit where I aiming. When shooting the rifle, I don't feel any noticeable recoil. The spring-piston sound needed a little getting used to, but no problem. Cocking is beefy, but I don't have any problem with it and not anything I am concerned with. As far as I am concerned the accuracy is very good. My target is 40 to 45 ft.(allowable room in my backyard) Dealing with my own movement and whatever the wind is doing I can put a group inside a quarter size circle. Overall, I am very satisfied the Hatsan 95's, looks, performance and value, if I were buying a under-lever, I would be looking at the Hatsan Torpedo 100X, looks, value and performance. The help and information from Hatsan USA website for a question I had, was fast, direct and helpful, which I find very important. I like it.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see more detail in the owners manual on recommended cleaning. and specific detail on proper lubricating of needful parts.
