    Things I liked:

Powerful, easy to use, easy to maintain

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing except put some sling swivels on it.

    What others should know:

The Hatsan in .22 is a fine gun for use against varmints. I have been steadily thinning the horde of raccoons that have been infesting our garden and patio. I've been averaging about a 50% kill ratio between 30 and 50 yards, increasing as the range decreases. I have been using the H&N Barracuda Extreme, 19.09 grain, hollowpoint pellets and, with the smaller raccoons, it's been one shot/one kill. I've been firing over the iron sights, haven't tried to use the scope yet; as the raccoons start to keep their distance, I may move to the scope eventually. While the gun is a little long for my arms, I've adapted my firing stance to compensate. It is a little heavy as well, but I wouldn't change either the length or the weight because that could change its firing characteristics .. and I like the way that it puts a pellet downrange with the force necessary to do what it's supposed to. I have been contemplating mounting some sling swivels on it, but I'm going to take my time considering that to ensure that I don't do damage to the operating parts of the weapon. Especially for the price, I would .. and have .. recommend this air rifle to anyone looking to make the purchase of such a weapon.

    Things I liked:

This is one great looking gun. It looks like a much more expensive rifle. The stock is just beautiful. It's a real heavyweight- which is fine as a tradeoff for the "traditional" wooden furniture. It took some getting used to cocking the gun- but once the proper angle and method was worked out it's not bad. Makes a curious honking sound as the barrel is brought down. It latches open and shut in a very positive manner. Shooting with the sights is easy with the tru glo's. They are very easy to see and simple as pie to adjust. They would work just fine as a full time sighting system. The scope was a bit problematic. Was dissapointed that targets appeared blurry close in. Luckily enough, found another review here that explained parralax adjustments. After following his advice (10 minutes of work) it's really a great scope. A bit of fine tuning, and now the gun will hit a dime at 20 yards. Doesn't get any better. Very powerful. Fairly loud, with a bit of a twang from the mechanism when fired. It tears through paperback books like butter. Recovered pellets are much deformed.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety feels pretty cheesy, and is not easy to manipulate with the scope in place. Some pellets don't fit easily into the breech. JSB Exact's are my go to pellet with this gun. They fit nice and are incredibly accurate. Beeman Crow Magnum's require a lot of fiddling to seat. I wouldn't touch cheap pellets with this gun.

    What others should know:

Personally I'm very happy with this purchase. Have seen some horror stories in other reviews, but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

this gun is on pare with guns that cost alot more. loved the gun when i first got it from p.a last summer, then it started honking. chatted with p.a rep advised me to lube with rws lubes. didnt work and i had it to long to send back. so i done a tune job on it only to find a very small flake of metal making all the fuss. so i cleaned it out polished everything up used moly lube from p.a to lube it up. Now its one of my fav. air guns. buy it !!!! you will not beat it for the price even if you have to do a tune on it. its built like a tank! tin cans at 60 yrds is easy.. ps. mine likes h&n 14.66 field targets .

    Things I would have changed:

Scope is just ok, gun is heavy

    What others should know:

Tighten scope mount screws with loctite so they don't loosen up. Tried five different brand and style pellets and all shoot well. Those who say its inaccurate probably can't shoot, and those who say its hard to cock or kicks like a mule are probably wimps. Just sayin'

    Things I liked:

I purchased this gun in .25 cal. The size, the quality of materials, the trigger and the accuracy. The value, if it wasn't such a crap-shoot as to whether or not the gun would fail due to faulty manufacturing procedures.

    Things I would have changed:

Hatsan has got to buckle down and improve their quality control. Despite the high quality materials, they are being let down by their seeming inability to clean all of the machining debris from the insides of their guns. After only about 30 shots, the gun would not cock. I did not take it apart to find out why, but it could only be debris jamming the trigger mechanism, because the barrel would not lock in the broken position. The gun was otherwise excellent... what a shame, to blow it all by not sweating the details on a consistent basis.

    What others should know:

I really went into this purchase with an open mind, wanting it to work. I had read on various on-line forums and blogs about Hatsan's variable quality control, but I had the feeling Hatsan was being picked-on, for some reason or another. Kind of like the way many people disparage Chinese guns simply for being Chinese (even though many Chinese guns are high quality)... maybe people were disparaging Hatsans for being Turkish. I also purchased, later, before this gun failed, a Hatsan Mod 125, also in .25 cal. It arrived the day after the 95 failed, and based on my experience with the 95, I quickly put a lot of pellets through it (70 in the first evening I had it), so I could determine if it, too, would fail quickly. The 125 is far more brutish in its mechanical behavior, being roughly twice as powerful, in terms of muzzle energy, but so far it has been very reliable and has progressed through the break-in period nicely, getting tangibly smoother and more consistent with each shot. It is at least as accurate as the 95. To sum it up, PA was superb in their handling of this situation: they immediately emailed a Fedex shipping label for the 95's return to them. I will be applying the credit for this gun toward a Cometa Fenix 400 in .177 cal. I am optimistic about my experience with the Hatsan 125 I just got - if it proves reliable in the long term, it will be one of my favorite guns, as the 95 would likely have been, if it had not failed.

    Things I liked:

Nice trigger. I haven't adjusted it at all from the factory setting. Very good accuracy out of the box. I also like the wood stock and the power. I also like the automatic safety. I have the .22 version.

    Things I would have changed:

It is fairly difficult to cock and has a lot of recoil. The cocking is not very smooth.

    What others should know:

The hinge piece underneath the barrel seems lose and rattles a little bit. This doesn't seem to affect the accuracy or power. I don't know if this is normal for the Hatsan 95 or just my rifle. I wa very surprised how accurate it is and the trigger is very consistent and light. The scope is not great but it is fine for my use. The rifle is good looking. I used the open sights and they work well. This is an adult gun because of the recoil and the cocking effort. Comparing the Nitro Venom to the Hatsan 95 is a close call. The 95 has a much better trigger but harder to cock. The NV is much smoother, quieter, and the scope is better. You can't go wrong with either, but I would lean towards the Nitro Venom.

    Things I liked:

    Trigger adjustment is nice

    Things I would have changed:

Don't include that scope be more thorough assembling it

    What others should know:

This gun was a huge disappointment for me. When i got it, the front sight was put on sideways, and the rear sight, after a long and painful removal of the front sight, i found was also tilted to the left and no matter how i adjusted it, it wouldn't stop leaning to the left, so i removed that. The trigger guard comes loose every 15-20 shots, and the screws that hold the stock to the barrel assembly on either side were horrible- one was secured with a screw in it, but the other was wayyyy too tight, and when i went to loosen it because the barrel was obviously wayy off center with the sides of the stock,i heard cracking so i stopped. I was turning the correct way to loosen it. After about 250-300 shots, the recoil seemed to be smoothed out, so i installed the scope with better Allen screw mounts that had come with my gamo silent cat and had never failed me yet. The scope exploded after 10 shots and the back of the scope hit me in the eye as it dislodged from the rest of the scope. I cant return this due to my modifications (i believed it would've been worth it). I don't recommend this gun. the workmanship is poor, assembly of this gun obviously isn't quality controlled. I'm out $150, and for what? a broken scope, sliced eyebrow, and a lot of frustration.

    Things I liked:

The quality of this fine shooter exceeds its price, and is a joy to shoot. The reason for my review isn't to repeat what others have said, but to clarify the adjustment of parallax on the scope. Actually, the scope is quite nice, but the parallax is most likely set to 50 yards. If you're shooting at 20 yds., it will be out of focus, and since it doesn't have an AO option, you'll need to manually adjust the objective (front) lens. Loosen the locking ring, and with your finger tip, turn the lens CCW until it's in focus, and when you move your head up and down, side to side, the reticle stays on target without any back and forth movement. Once accomplished, hold the lens from turning while tightening the locking ring, Aim and shoot.

    What others should know:

Some pellets fit very tight in the breech.

    Things I liked:

The .177 air rifle that I purchased is functioning perfectly and is very accurate. I love this gun and highly recommend this air rifle. The scope that came with the Hatsan 95 is working very well. In other reviews that I read before I purhased this gun, other customers have been unsatisfied with the scope but I have had no problems with this scope at all. It zeroed in easily and seems to be very consistent. The gun is very accurate, is very powerful, looks nice, fires very smoothly, and is just what I needed to eliminate the pests in my gardens.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a sling because the gun isn't light.

    What others should know:

I have tried three different types of pellets and all shoot very well from this rifle. I highly recommend this air gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Skip the scope and lower the price accordingly.

    What others should know:

I grew up shooting BB guns. My older brother had a Benjamin pellet gun that I coveted, and it took me until I was 45 to finally buy the airgun of my dreams. I researched exhaustively to find the best rifle for the money, and boy did I chose right! For only $150 I got a magnificently built and finished, as well as great shooting gun. The iron sights are awesome and easy to dial in. The fully adjustable trigger is smooth and crisp right out of the box. After about 500 rounds it's getting easier to cock and load, and continues to become more accurate with every shot! I love my Hatsan 95! By the way, I purchased a cleaning kit and 4 tins of various pellets with it from Pyramid Air. One of the tins was free, and so was the shipping. It only took a few days and I was blasting aluminum cans to smithereens! Bravo Pyramid Air!

    Things I liked:

Excellent wood, checkering, finish. Much nicer than expected. The metal polish and bluing is excellent as well. Metal to metal fit is exact. Glow front and rear sights a real plus. Shoots very hard in .22cal

    Things I would have changed:

Junky cheap high mount rings. Scope is ok for free but rings change to low mount and something strong for it does shake the scope. My rifle shoots to the left, not a problem with iron sights, but if you scope it, the line of pellet flight will intersect with the line of scope, I said intersect not follow same flight path. So it will shoot to one side before you point of zero and other side after your point of zero. So you have to use wind-age adjustable mounts, zero/center the scope and adjust mounts until scope x-hairs shoot to pellet at 25yds,50yds,75yds. Then you know you are running true to flight. A lot of trouble, a more expensive gun I would have returned demanding sights set to center and rifle shoots to center. I think this one I'm gonna put on a red lazer with an offset pitatinny side-mount on this 11mm grooved receiver and call it a day. but really for 150$ this is an awsome rifle. I'm just picky. Shoots harder than any other of my 22 springers that cost 3x the money

    What others should know:

it is very accurate/consistent with the H&N Field pels despite not being broken in yet. I did clean the barrel carefully and ran patches with rubbing alcohol to make sure it was absolutely grease/debris free and a few drops of silicone oil on the seal before firing first shot. It is heavily greased all over. Easier and smoother to cock each time.very pleased, can't believe it for the money and this stock is really nice checking and lettering looks lazer cut, perfect!

    Things I liked:

Beutifully built the Turkish Walnut is very good looking. I put a Hammers 3x9x32 AO on it it shoots dead on, Cocking is easy and tight. At ten yards a nice tight ragged hole

    Things I would have changed:

Leave off the scope. I wish the tigger would adjust just a little more light but it is very crisp.

    What others should know:

If you want a great powerfull springer that won't break your arme cocking it this is it. Do not try crosman premiums they don't fit due to their size and weisht inconsitency. Some go in some will not at all and some with a great deal of force. Mine likes the RWS hobby 11.9 grains and believe it or not the Dasiy wadcutters at 14.3 grains. Accuracy as goos as my Diana 34. You will love this gun.

The wood, metal finish and trigger are very nice, as billed.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope mount supplied was defective, and Pyramyd graciously replaced it. When I finally got the factory scope mounted, it would not focus, so the scope was worthless. I'd rather have the rifle for $10 or $15 less without the scope at all.

    What others should know:

I have only tried two .25 pellets so far, JB Kings at 25.4 grains and Benjamin domes at 28. The JBs chronograph at 570 fps, the Benjamins at 538. My Hatsan prefers the Benjamins for accuracy.
