    Things I liked:

Accurate and fun to shoot. Well built but could use a better scope mount.

    Things I would have changed:

Weaver/Picatinny rail mount would be perfect for this gun. Add instructions on how to disassemble gun for oiling the spring.

    What others should know:

I gave this gun 5 stars even though the scope mount needs improved but works okay. I did buy the package deal from Pyramyd Air on this gun and happy with everything but the scope has a small issue for this gun. The scope can be mounted to either 3/8" or 5/8" rail by adjusting two brackets that connect the scope to the gun and you definitely want to push the scope back towards the end of the gun mount and use theadlocker blue (medium) to secure the scope. Due to the gun recoil and the scope design, it will come loose and I ended putting two holes in my shop wall before I noticed what happened. A real fun and accurate gun to shoot.

    Things I liked:

the trigger is nice not overly heavy strait out the box. this pistol in .22 hits with authority. the balance is surprisingly nice. once dialed in I can hold a 2" group at 45'with a very cheap red dot.

    Things I would have changed:

they should have used a better system for mounting optic's. such as factory weaver or picatinny rail. or holes for scope stop pins.

    What others should know:

its somewhat difficult to cock. after 50 shots ur gonna feal it. as you should for something this small that generates this much power. the recoil reduction system? hmm im not sure how well it works. because this thing kicks harder than most .22WMR pistols. medium sized birds don't stand a chance at ten yards.

    Things I liked:

--Great power has yielded a pretty flat trajectory over the 25 yards I can utilize --High quality Truglow sites are highly adjustable and it's very easy to dial-in this pistol to impressive levels of accuracy. --I'm a 5'10" 160 lb male in average shape and I don't get the complaints about the cocking force. I've put almost 1000 pellets through this gun in one week and I've never felt fatigued by long sessions. Maybe it's not for airgun neophytes, those off a smallish stature, or just flat-out Nancies, but I just don't get the complaints about cocking this gun. --Quite enough to shoot in my fairly populated, dense intown community. Don't underestimate the need for a robust backstop and complementary topography, though, because this pistol packs a punch

    Things I would have changed:

--Build quality and tightness of construction feels shabby. That is almost offset by the velocity and accuracy once you acclimate to the feel of the ergonomics, though. --Very heavy; could stand to lose some weight --Trigger is somewhat clunky and the range of functional adjustment is deceptively small. Perhaps this should be expected from a pistol so extraordinary in other ways that has managed to edge its way into this pricepoint.

    Things I liked:

This is one well built pistol. Good quality materials and has a great feeling in hand. Sights are excellent and very accurate out of box. I have't used it on a varmint yet but will post that afterwards. Fired it at 1/8 in plywood and went thru easily. Completely buried the pellet in a 2 buy 10 hardwood. Quite heavy for a pistol and takes a little effort to cock but manageable. Pyramid was quick shipping and as described.

    Things I would have changed:

Overall size is only disadvantage. 20 inches with cocker assistance attached.

    What others should know:

Not a toy for sure. Looking forward to a lot of shooting with this and going to get a hand carry soft case from Pyramid for it.

    Things I liked:

What a pistol. This thing is accurate, and not too much effort to cock it. I also put a red dot scope on it, took about 25 shots in all to get good feel for grouping shots. Last five shots fit inside a nickel. Cannot complain at all.

    Things I would have changed:

Reduced weight of the pistol would allow more to enjoy this pistol.

    What others should know:

This thing packs a wallop, be aware of surroundings when shooting!

    Things I liked:

A really good value for the money. I was impressed by the workmanship on my .22, no obvious blemishes or misfitting parts. I had switched my order from .177 to .22 because of backorder, but I'm glad I did. The .22 is nice and formidable caliber. The rubberized grip makes a big difference too. It's a heavy pistol with heavy trigger weight but a lot of fun to shoot. The accuracy and power blows me away! Kudos to Hatsan for including the long barrel extension to help in cocking because I really need it. It shows they're thinking about the customer.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd prefer all black sights but I'm sure over time I can adjust to the TruGlo version that comes on the pistol.

    Things I liked:

The trigger out of the box. The weight. The accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

I added the Crossman stock, offset scope mount and a bug buster scope. Also added a sks cheek riser to get a nice weld. But really, the gun is great stock.

    What others should know:

This gun in the carbine I created is very accurate at the limits of my yard...approx. 45 yards. Its very light and loves the 11 grain .22 hobbies. I use this gun as much as possible and intend to take it on vacations as its very compact and easy to transport. Also, its not hard to cock at all. Hold the barrel extension in your left hand and the grip in your right. Brace your left hand against your left inner thigh. Press down with your right hand and in with you left thigh. Almost no effort. My 10 year old can do it easily.

    Things I liked:

The rubberized grips with the thumb-rest...very comfortable, kinda feels like that old favorite baseball glove! Gold trigger... snazzy aesthetic touch, and the trigger itself is very user friendly. Though it's adjustable, I like it just as it is out of the box. (This coming from someone who has had to get use to Crosman, Benjamin and Beeman RS2 triggers! Trust, the Hatsan Quatro is a much nicer trigger!) I like that the muzzle-break/cocking assist actually screws on and becomes an integral part of the barrel. The feel of the anti-recoil system takes a little getting use to, but before long, you won't even give it a second thought. The adjustable (rear AND front) fiber optic sights are very good. I initially mounted a dot scope on the dovetail, but due to the top half recoil (almost like a very short travel blow-back!), the scope wouldn't stay put, so I removed it and now just shoot with the open sights. The gun is extremely, and consistently, accurate out to twenty yards; and it ain't bad at thirty! Having launched ~2000+ pellets from this behemoth of a pistol, I've gotten a good feel for the gun; it cooperates nicely. There's a great deal of satisfaction in knowing when you pull the trigger, it's a safe bet that you'll hit the mark. This gun does just that...and with AMPLE power! (I've already worn out a couple of 3/4" plywood backstops and moved up to carpeted steel on plywood to get more longevity from the backstop.)

    Things I would have changed:

Were I to suggest any changes to the gun, I'd add provisions for a scope stop...if not a weaver rail. If Hatsan decided to make the gun a 22 incher by adding an extra inch to the muzzle-break/cocking assist, I think it'd fly and would give just a hint more leverage for cocking...it may also lessen the likelihood of boogering up the front fiber optic...which hasn't happened yet, but worth staying mindful of. Otherwise, the gun seems well engineered and manufactured.

    What others should know:

The cocking effort on this gun, as others have stated, is pretty stout, but well worth the effort for the power it creates. It isn't unbearable by any means. I've had some three & four hour shooting sessions, one shot after another, with no problem. And yes, it is also heavy...but again, well worth it.

The automatic safety is a great feature, but as others have mentioned, the mechanism is a bit rough...'scratchy' feeling...not smooth? I suspect one of these years it may smooth out, but mine hasn't yet. If it doesn't, oh well, it serves the purpose.

The breech is VERY snug! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but, it is what it is. Crosman Domes are the tightest fitting, but they do fit. I also deep seat each pellet with no problem.

In a few reviews, there has been mention of sketchy quality control, but I've not seen anything on this one to indicate that.

So, if you want a reasonably priced pistol that ranks right up there with a barrel of monkeys in terms of being fun; a handsome power house of a gun that is consistent and reliable with many very nice features, though, rather simplistic in design...well then, you want a Hatsan Model 25 Supercharger! I'm extremely satisfied with mine.

(...and as always, the service at Pyramyd Air is second to none...that crew ROCKS!)

    Things I liked:

All the reviews I read before purchasing this pistol were dead on. Having fired a Diana ($259.00) before this one I can attest to how wonderful the Hatsan 25 is. I've installed an inexpensive AMP Tactical 30mm red/green ($30.00) dot sight on mine. After dialing the scope in I'm hitting 1" spinning targets just about every time at 10 yards and I'm "in the red" center of paper targets at 25 yards. This pistol is accurate. I've kept the cocking assist screwed in. This is very neat! No messing around with putting it on and taking it off. You'll need the assist. Cocking the weapon with the assist isn't a problem. Cocking the weapon without the assist ... well ... forget about it. Put it this way, the Diana has a cocking pressure of 19 lbs. The Hatsen without the assist is about 50 lbs. The Hatsen with the assist screwed on (which looks good screwed on, by the way) takes about the same cocking pressure as the Diana.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull. Adjusted to the lightest setting it's still a little heavy for my taste. Yet, the trigger pull is definitely similar to other pellet pistols I've shot.

    What others should know:

Great deal for the money. The Hatsen 25 + a AMP Tactical 30mm red/green scope + the $10 fitting rail + pellets + a pellet pen holder + silicone lube for about $200.00! You can't beat this deal and, more importantly, you will not be selling yourself short.

    What others should know:

Gun is very accurate and good power with 11.9 gr rws hobbies. I use an offset mount with a bugbuster scope and the 1377 Crossman stock. The sides of the pistol grip attack with 2 screws each. Remove these and the stock slips on and attaches with 2 screws. The forward top 1/2 inch lip of stock can be dremeled off for perfect fit. No more to gun required.

I like the idea of having a pistol that will shoot around 700fps and the recoil built in is nice.

    Things I would have changed:

providing a "slip-on" extension instead of a screw-on extension to make it easier to cock.

    What others should know:

I like the adjustible sights - front and back but then again, this is my first air pistol... i like it.

    What others should know:

At ten meters I have groupings inside of a 1.5" circle often, sometimes putting one in the previous hole. At that distance, I have found Gamo Magnum 7.56 gr. and Beeman Hollow Point Coated .177 Pellets to be very accurate. Beyond that range, I use Beeman Kodiak 10.65 gr.. I have had no problems hitting hanging aluminum cans at 35 yards using that round. I really like this pistol, more than I can convey.

    Things I liked:

Excellent sights, easily adjustable, stay where I set them, best I've seen on pretty much anything. Better than many centerfire aftermarket sights. Lots of power, punches through both sides of a tin can in .22 caliber. Makes my little hanging pipe targets ding nicely. Seems very accurate, the trigger is the big limiting factor.

    Things I would have changed:

Honestly, the trigger is pretty bad. Supposedly adjustable, I cannot feel any significant changes in the pull weight. Travel adjustment does a little, actually seems to increase the pull weight. Lots of creep, and gritty. I've lubed it in the gun and it helped. Only about 100 shots through it, things should smooth out down the road. One of these days I'll take it out and see what can be polished.

    What others should know:

I was looking for an air pistol powerful enough to take out starlings and this fits the bill. Sufficiently accurate, with power to spare and the ranges I'll be shooting at. It is basically a shortened air rifle. My wife cannot cock it, I have no real problems. Getting the pellets started is difficult, its a tight fit. A two handed proposition due to its weight, the trigger pull, and the spring recoil. I like the pistol, it feels like it will last. I've spent more and gotten less.

    Things I liked:

This pistol looks better in hand than in the pictures. The bluing is of good quality and the rubber grips and plastic frame are solid and look great. I like the trigger, it is consistent and really great for what you are paying for in this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

My one complaint is the sights. Its great they are so adjustable but the blade up front is just too big. The tru glo is nice in low light but I am just used to smaller iron sights. I feel they would be more accurate for me personally and wish they were optional or available aftermarket.

    What others should know:

After reading reviews I thought the cocking force would be very hard before I received the gun. Its really not too bad, its just slightly harder to cock than my BSA Supersport with the cocking aid on. I got the 10 for 10 test just to know how many FPS it was shooting. Started at 532FPS and gradually came down to 511FPS at shot 10. This was with RWS Hobby 11.9gr pellets. Not sure what it is after 500+ shots. RWS Superdome 14.5gr and JBS Exact jumbo heavy 18.3gr pellets both shoot accurately. I have a UTG subcompact red/green dot sight on the way. I think this pistol will be great with the dot sight instead of the stock sights.

make threaded barrel extender 1 to 2 inches longer. Add some kind of pellet clip system.

    What others should know:

It's not a challenge to cock this gun, just turn it sideways and squeeze like those coil chest exercisers. Also, I'm not sure why one person said that the trigger safety is "rough." I found it very easy to slide it forward with my trigger finger, smooth, kind of cool really. The gun is powerful, and addictive to shoot

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

First and foremost, this gun is a very good value. Despite a modest price point, it is strong and accurate right out of the box. From the first shot, this gun hit the spot it was aimed at.

    Things I would have changed:

As many have noted, the power of this gun comes at a cost. This is not a easy gun to cock. I have not yet tried the extension, but in its stock configuration it takes real effort for each shot. I do worry that I will eventually displace/damage the front sight while cocking this gun. Separately, the safety on this gun serves its purpose, but does not provide a clear visual indicator of status. As I sometimes, cock/load my airguns for other shooters , this is not ideal.

    What others should know:

This is a very different gun than the similarly styled RWS LP8 (which I purchased first). At a materially lower price, the Hatsan Model 25 provides great accuracy and better power. However, the more expensive RWS is more refined, better finished, and easier to shoot again and again. If I could only have one of them... it's a tough call. For the money, the Hatsan 25 is darn good.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I like the power and accuracy for the price. The steel parts have a pretty good finish and the plastic grips and plastic frame look better in person than in the pictures. The pistol seems to be accurate and cocking effort with the extension is really not that bad at all. Other reviews indicated differently. I dont work out and have a desk job. Im in average physical shape and could shoot this gun all day without getting tired of cocking it. I think it is a great value. Power and accuracy for a lot less than comparably powered springer pistols.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights are just ok.. I had to move the front sight up almost all the way and the rear pretty much all the way down to get it sighted in at 10 yards. Had the front sight not been adjustable, I never would have gotten the gun sighted in. Also, im used to steel sights that have a smaller front blade and smaller notch on the rear. When shooting at a 4" round target from 15 yards, the front blade completely covers the target. Its kind of hard to completely judge the accuracy with the stock sights. I plan on getting a red dot scope, i think that would be a big improvement. I was shooting at cans out to 40 yards and was hitting them, and hitting close when missing. I think this gun will be very accurate once I upgrade the sights with a red dot. The original sights are easy to see in low light conditions, thats the only thing I do like about them.

    What others should know:

I have the .22 cal version. I ordered the 10 for 10 so I would have a chrony sheet. The gun averaged 520 fps with a relatively light pellet (cant remember how many grains, paper is not with me now). I was expecting closer to 600 fps. I like to shoot heavier pellets than what was used for the 10 for 10 so Im sure the speed is even slower than that. If I would have known the speed was going to be 500 fps, i may have considered other pistols, I wanted this because it had more power that anything else at the stated 600 fps in .22 cal. There were a lot of guns I didnt consider just for this fact and had I known, I would have looked at some other pistols in more depth before making my final decision on what to buy. That being said, Im still very happy with the purchase. For the price this gun is great. Im going to also make a stock for this pistol, it would make a great carbine as stated in another review.
