Things I liked:

Fit and finish is excellent. The grip fits my hand well. Pistol is heavy but feels balanced with my standard two hand pistol hold. The Quattro trigger is very precise and crisp, I do not have to make any adjustments. Shooting at my 10 meter indoor range from a bag rest, the groups are 3/8" c.c. all day long. Crosman PSP 7.4 gr ten shot string averaged 707 fps. Tried some RWS Meisterkuglen 7gr put 7 out of 10 shots in ten ring, other three in 9 ring. I love this pistol. And yes airgunners the recoil reducing technology of this pistol really does work.

Things I would have changed:

Hatsan could do a little better in QC department. Like test fire their weapons before shipping. Here's why. Upon opening my pistol I wiped it down well and cleaned the barrel finishing with a coat of Ballistol like I do with all my new airguns. Went to fire at target......nothing! Re-cocked again nothing. Figuring as usual with some Hatsan products everything is really tight I lubed all cocking joints with MP-5 oil and worked the cocking stroke a few more times. Voalla! The pistol fired. It must have been so tight inside the sear would not engage. This problem is now history and pistol operates great.

What others should know:

The cocking stroke is very heavy. Would be nearly impossible without the supplied screw on cocking aid. But with the power and exceptional accuracy this pistol has, heavy cocking stroke is not a deal breaker. I highly recommend this pistol. A great value.

Things I liked:

Nice heavy feel./ Comfortable in hand. Power with light recoil.

Things I would have changed:

The trigger. It absolutely spoils what could have been a fun, reasonably accurate gun. The ridiculous amount of trigger travel and then the extra pull you need at the end moves sight off target. Makes all other features essentially meaningless. It boggles my mind that manufacturers don't use better triggers and charge a little more.

What others should know:

I can't recommend this $99 (at best) gun disguised at a $159 gun. This will stay in a drawer until I find some unsuspecting soul down the road.

    Things I liked:

Small and portable. It doesn;t have a rifle barrel so it can fit in a Bosch Hammer Drill case. this is too cool for portability and discretion. Shoots straight enougn,Had to go to scope. That was orginally purchased for r9ifle yhat was originallly purchased for a riflr; But with the right base adapter, it works, Of course scope is so big that when I breah barell to reload , it is a challange gettingn thrn pelletnm inn the chamber.

    Things I would have changed:

Still way to big to be called a pistol , but The shoulder extenstion is detachable so I like that. A really annoying problem is the unlocking pin gor removing thr stock, They made is recesssed, toI mmayn try nsmall for your finger, and too stiff for musclen power anyway, You need 3 hands or fancy dexterity with a tool of some kind.

    What others should know:

The biggedt advantage it fits in a non gun looking box so it doesn't abother neirtn-j0

    Things I liked:

The gun feels sturdy, and has a smooth firing.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger has a long pull and should be shorten, Hatsan claims it has a 2 state adjustmant, but you can't adjust the length of the pull. The gun comes with a right hand grip, you can get a left hand grip for another $20., and a 2 waiting period. Well, this is what it stated, I found that is not true. I order my gun around Jan 27, and had to make extensive calls to Hatsan, forget about being able to reach anyone. Pyramydair took the time to try and find out when the grips will be shiped, they found out that it may be somewhere in March. If your going to sell a gun with right handed grips, have an option for left hand, and provide a working contact number. There (were) other Hatsan rifles I was looking forward to purchasing, but not when a company runs there business this bad. I have also had occasional problems with the trigger not working, I have had to re-cock it 1 or more times till it work work.

    What others should know:

Before purchasing an item, check to see if they have a working number, do not go by just reveiws. I truly question the reviews I have read about Hatsan. I may end up returning this pistol.

    Things I liked:

Lots of fun! I'm 70 years old and this thing is no problem to cock using the extension. Get some pellets when you buy this. You'll go through a lot in a hurry. Once sighted in the gun holds its setting pretty well. The gun is more accurate at 10-15 yards than I am. I'm using it to protect my chickens in the evening from foxes. This gun is a killer.

    Things I would have changed:

There is not a lot that I would change. It is very long and heavy making finding some kind of holster near impossible. Since I carry it in the evening when I'm doing chores, the lack of a carry device makes chores more challenging.

    Things I liked:

Great sights, well balanced for such a large pistol. Contrary to other reviews I found this pistol easy to cock even without the included cocking aid. Fairly quiet and a little on the heavy side.

    Things I would have changed:

Factory breech seal is cheap. I had to replace after about 100 shoots

    What others should know:

Dont expect this pistol to shoot at the advertised velocity. Only about 655 with a 7 grain .177 pellet not 700 as advertised!! I suspect that I got a used pistol but can not prove it

pistol is heavy and well made, the grip is very comfortable..,cocking effort is easy if you push the gun into the barrel rather than trying to push the barrel down...mounted a red dot scope and am amazed at its accuracy and this gun is fun. you can break open the barrel enough to load a pellet with out cocking the system, so all you have to do is cock it when ready and that's all she wrote

as with all air guns...a little quieter is always the dream

    Things I liked:

This pistol is dead accurate with a red dot sight and more powerful than any other .177 pistol I have ever used. The recoil is typical of a springer without the spring torsion. The lock time is small.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger creeps a bit though it's not terrible. The cocking effort is substantial but commensurate with the power produced.

    What others should know:

A lot of things. Mine has a rear stop on the dovetail that holds the weaver adapter dead solid. No movement at all. The cocking effort reduces along with some early roughness after a tin of pellets. This pistol is incredibly powerful. Relatively light pellets literally shatter when they hit a backstop at 10m or less. A modified artillery hold is necessary. Hold the grip relatively firmly and use your thumb to prevent movement as a result of the slightly creepy trigger. Place our left hand under the fore-stock but use it just to hold the pistol steady. Don't grip the fore-stock. The barrel and power plant are on rails. They must be allowed to move during the shot. This is a bit of a weird air pistol. It's super powerful but also huge. It requires two hands to fire accurately. A red dot scope is very helpful. Just get a rugged one. The cocking extension on the barrel is crucial to easy cocking. It also somewhat silences the shot.

    Things I liked:

The feel and look of the gun, its a bit like the Walther LP53 used for the Goldfinger posters from the 1960’s. The right-handed grip is excellent. The dual adjustable trigger is good and although I have not tried adjusting it yet, I like the weight and travel as it was set when it arrived. The barrel extension is some help in cocking this animal as it requires real effort to cock it. It is surprisingly well balance for being a 1.84 Kilogram (4.07 Lbs) pistol. The red front / green rear dot sights looks nice and I have now have it sighted for 25 yards with excellent consistency.

    Things I would have changed:

Put a smoother housing on the front optic sight (See What others should know) Pre-adjust (for 25 feet perhaps) the sights before shipping, and as with ALL air guns sold in the USA, give us the actual conditions and pellets (weight, etc.) used to get their reported FPS claims. A longer slip on cocking aide that slips over the front optic sight.

    What others should know:

Be careful when cocking. The front sight (on mine) has sharp edges on both metal ends holding the optic tube in place and due to the force needed to cock the air gun, so after several shots I developed a cut between my thumb and index finger above my palm. I averaged 467 FPS using Winchester RN MVP 4.6 Grain .177 pellets. I did achieve a best of 564 FPS w/Sig Sauer 5.2 Grain Alloy Wadcutters.

    Things I liked:

Solid feel of the gun. I am right-handed and the grip is excellent for me; natural pointing ability with the factory grips. Also, accurate enough for rodent control and certainly powerful enough. The trigger is pretty good. I have not tried adjusting it yet, but as it came, it works well for me. The barrel extension is a big help in cocking this beast as it does require some real effort to get it ready to fire. It came with a red dot sight and it is necessary to get the point of impact on center.

    Things I would have changed:

Factory sights are very good but on my gun, the rear sight would not adjust low enough to bring the pellet on target. The sight bottomed out before the impact point moved enough. Some additional leverage to aid in cocking the gun would be a real help.

    What others should know:

This is a HEAVY gun with 58 pounds of cocking effort required. I am 79 and have arthritis in my hands. I can cock the gun but it is difficult, even with the cocking extension on the barrel. You can leave the extension in place as it does not appear to hurt accuracy. I found that a 2 foot length of PVC pipe with an I.D. of 3/4 inch fits perfectly over the barrel extension and that helps to cock the gun. PVC will not scar the finish either.

    Things I liked:

Came with a red dot sight which I like - trigger is good for this type of gun and the cocking aid barrel extension is a big help

    Things I would have changed:

Very little unless the cocking effort could be reduced without changing anything else.

    What others should know:

I am 79 years old and have suffered the problems (arthritis in my hands, etc. and loss of muscle strength) that come with old age. I was concerned about the 58 pounds of cocking effort but I can cock it. Even without the barrel extension cocking aid I manage it but it is easier with the extension in place. This is a HEAVY pistol and takes some effort to become accustomed to the overall size. It is, however, very accurate - especially with the red dot sight in place. The factory sights are excellent - fiber optic - but the rear sight would not adjust low enough to bring the shots down to the point of aim. The red dot fixed that. The factory instructions for the red dot as almost useless. I found that turning the top adjusting screw (elevation) clockwise lowers the point of impact. The windage adjustment clockwise moved the point of impact to the right. I bought this gun for squirrel control. Have it sighted in and am ready for them now.

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

The trigger is excellent and low effort. Both front and rear sights are easily adjustable. The gun exudes quality and is solidly constructed. It is bulky and heavy but that makes it easier to shoot accurately. For a hand gun it is very powerful and I will have no trouble dispatching rodents of all types. To get the power entails strong cocking effort but Hatsan provides a long screw-in metal muzzle extender in addition to the shorter one installed on the gun. I haven't sighted in from a solid rest so I can't make an intelligent comment on accuracy. That said, shooting off hand has yielded some pretty consistent groups once I got the gun roughly sighted in.

    Things I would have changed:

The gun, when it arrived, was shooting about 1 foot high at 10 yards! The sights had punched through the box and may have been damaged in shipping. In order to get the power the cocking effort is very high. Nevertheless I would not be willing to trade off loss of power for easier cocking. The instructions with the gun are overly brief. There is nothing in them concerning where to oil the air chamber or other maintenance.

    What others should know:

This is a right-hand shooters gun. The grips are very nice but only if you are right hand dominant.

This pistol kicks major butt! Extremely powerful for a handgun! Although the length is a bit longer than I prefer, you need it for leverage to ease on cocking the breakbarrel.

    Things I would have changed:

Would be the absolute best handgun but the weight and length are a bit bigger than desirable for a pistol. If it was lighter and shorter and still have the leverage needed to cock this bad boy, it would be the most optical handgun for knock down power!

    What others should know:

Use the longer bit at the end of barrel. The "silencer". It makes cocking the gun 10x easier for leverage purposes.

    Things I liked:

The Hatsan 25 Supercharger and Supercharger Vortex are nicely balanced, well made, and shoot very accurately.

    Things I would have changed:

The Hatsan 25 Supercharger and Supercharger Vortex both need a scope stop hole at the end of the 11mm rail. Without this hole, a scope will likely move. Both guns in the .177 caliber, according to PA's $10 test, have a muzzle velocity much lower than the advertised 700 fps. Based on the chronograph results I received, I would suggest that when purchasing a Hatsan 25 Supercharger you should expect a muzzle velocity of about 640 fps (7.1 grain pellet) and 618 fps (7 grain pellet) for the Vortex version.

    What others should know:

I don't have a chronograph so I used a phone book to compare my Crosman 1377C with the Hatsan 25 Supercharger and Supercharger Vortex. Using the same pellets, the Crossman 1377C with 10 pumps would produce the same penetration as the Hatsans at 15 yards and each gun was quite accurate. Some shooters may even think the Crosman sights are more precise!

    Things I liked:

Gas piston power plant. Powerful for the size. Nice heft and balance. Length is just right. Bright TruGlo sights. Mountable, screw-able cocking aid.

    Things I would have changed:

Ambidextrous grip (I'm a lefty). Protected TruGlo nozzle sight. A softer more eloquent safety. A more sturdier plastic housing that contains the power plant. Between the power plant and the nice synthetic stock, the housing looks as it feels- thin and cheap. Changing the pistol's position from horizontal aim to vertical, you can feel the powerplant weight shift down despite everything being tightened and secured.

    What others should know:

I bought this mainly for rodent control at 10-20 yards. Needed something more compact than my Gamo Whisper Fusion IGT.177 to carry around (love the Gamo). I always wanted to try a air rifle form factor that had power for small game control so it was a hard decision between the Supercharger Vortex and the RWS LP8. Advertised power, gas piston power plant, and screw-able barrel extension for easier cocking swayed me. Upon unboxing the weight really stood out. It felt solid and heavy but after a day of usage I became accustomed to it. Weight and balance makes it very stable for accurate one handed shooting. Takes a bit of chest strength to break that barrel (6ft, 265 lbs gym rat) but the right technique will help allot. Relative to my Gamo, it's pretty loud. Very satisfied with my purchase however. Attatched a Gamo red laser and I'm in business. Beautiful looking and well made air pistol.

Very accurate; good power; consistent; nice sights. Quattro trigger is light, smooth and crisp; very quiet; top quality.

    Things I would have changed:

A bit heavy and odd-looking. Cocking effort is not for weaklings (except me)

    What others should know:

After three years and hundreds of rounds, the 25 is going strong. Accuracy with the adjustable sights is commendable, although it takes a bit of effort to cock, even with the barrel-extender cocking aid. It's heavy and requires two hands to shoot (only Roy Rogers uses one hand). The adjustable, light, crisp trigger keeps the gun on target. Power is probably close to the 700 fps advertised and is among the most powerful break-barrel pistols on the market. This one performs well and should last quite a while.
