    Things I liked:

The accuracy right out of the box is amazing. First shot was an X at 10 meters and I am an old man...70. Am delighted with the grips as they are a little large and allow for personalized fitting. Effort to pump the pistol is well with in the comfort range. If you want to practice improving your slow fire for other events, right in your home, I recommend this pistol. For those who want competition accuracy and don't was to spend the "big bucks" this pistol fits the bill.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air has been very good to deal with. The first pistol I received had a "slight" factory defect that I was uncomfortable with and Pyramyd exchanged it with no hassle. Will purchase from them again.

    Things I liked:

Super accurate and super quiet! I was shocked when I opened the box, I was ready for the funky design but not the size....she's big! Like some other reviews commented you have to do some work on the grip to make it comfortable....think of the grip, the way it ships, as a blank canvas. I marked my finger and thumb positions with a pencil then used my beltsander's rounded front end to shape it. Now it fits like a glove. I am a real novice shooter but within 50 shots I was able to group at an inch or less from 10 meters.....this gun is awesome, I love it!

    Things I would have changed:

Not a thing!....if you can appreciate the ergonomic design this is definitely form following function!

    What others should know:

It's worth the extra money.....go for it, you won't be disappointed!

    Things I liked:

It’s a good gun. It’s accurate. beautiful piece.

    Things I would have changed:

The Owners Manual does not help you in any way. If you are not familiar with the gun you will have to guess the next step. The grip is very uncomfortable therefore you must take it to someone else for a finish job and pay for it. Bettter sights.

    What others should know:

I was asking myself why we pay almost $400 for a Russian gun if we should have them better ones here in the USA.

    Things I liked:

Super gun!!! This thing shoots like a dream. Perfect accuracy and weight. The forward balance is great. Love the sights, they ajust really nicely. I have read other reviews that didn't like the grips but I love them. They fit my hand perfectly. The trigger is one of the best I have ever shot with. Makes for a great 10 meter competion pistol. I upgraded from a Crossman 2300s to this and my scores improved 50 points!!

    Things I would have changed:

    Put a saftey on it.

    What others should know:

Best air pistol for the money, PERIOD. Buy it.

very accurate, very well made, and just a great and fun gun! To me this is the best.

    Things I would have changed:

Options to buy grips, but nobody hardly makes them.

    What others should know:

I have also ordered a custom gun from crosman and it does not even compare to the Izzy. This is a great gun for plinking and it never gets old. no co2 or charging. I was very dissapointed with a custom crosman from the custom shop and going forward I will always buy directly from pyramid air. Customer service is number 1 with pyramid air.

    Things I liked:

For the money paid, the build quality is excellent, really addictive to shoot, I'm going to get the woods and waters grips, as modifying these won't get me the fit I would like, but still the gun fun to shoot! I've tried many pellets, it does seem to prefer the lighter H&N and RWS 7 grain pellets. The trigger is excellent, I may try to seek a trigger shoe to cant the trigger better, but the woods and waters grips may help that. Really thought about this before I bought it, and have to say I am not dissapointed at all, even at $450 it would be a great value, it really is accurate, took me about 5 minutes and 10 shots to get the sights where I want them, I don't really care for scopes or red dots on air pistols, open sights really add to the challenge. I'm very impressed with the order process with Pyramid air, I wanted this before the July 4th holiday so I can spend some extra time with the gun--- very enjoyable, looking forward to the new grips though--- superior value here---

    Things I would have changed:

maybe as a default, add a form fitting case, the out of box experience was not that great, I think they could improve the marketing aspect of that more and get someone from pyramid to improve the instructions--- not complaining but this really is an impressive gun for the money, and i've owned FWB pistols before (much better, however 3 times the cost !)

I find the balance to be excellent with the weight favoring the barrel. The palm shelf does it's job well and the barrel remains steady.

Nice balance, very accurate, great price.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip could be adjustable, but there are aftermarket grips available. Smaller hands will need to change the grips. I wear a large-xl glove and it works for me. These are nits and I didn't mark it down since it is a great value.

    What others should know:

Do read the instructions and clean the gun before using. A lot of shipping grease/preservative. Try not to get anything on the breech seal while cleaning. Get one and start shooting!

    Things I liked:

Gun is of good quality with an excellent trigger, quiet and fun to shoot. It's easy to load and very accurate. The ability to dry fire the gun is underrated. :)

    Things I would have changed:

    (1) Grips are purposely made oversize so you can shape them to your hand. However they could be smaller to start with so they fit average people a little better.....These things are huge. (2) If the cocking lever is not bought forward with a reasonable amount of force, the seal on the release valve fails to seat properly. This causes a hissing of air and very little pressure in the air chamber upon the compression stroke. Seems like it would be a minor fix / adjustment. (3) The pin holding the trigger in the main body of the gun likes to slide out with normal use. It would be nice if the fit was a little more precise. (4) The pistol tends to be a bit nose heavy, could be more balanced or at least supplied with a handle weight to balance to each individual shooter.

    What others should know:

Overall I really like the gun, the price is reasonable and the accuracy and trigger is amazing. Even with the above issues, which are minor, I'd still buy another one if something happened to mine. Overall Rating: (A-)

    Things I liked:

This is a very consistent, accurate air pistol - I am able to place 10 shots within 1" at 10 meters. This pistol is for my son and he will use it for match shooting in 4-H. He is 11 and can easily operate the pistol. The sights are easy to adjust and they actually indicate L or R and U or D. Makes adjusting very easy. The 2 stage trigger is a great feature and has a good feel. I have not adjusted as we did not think we needed to.

    Things I would have changed:

A better grip - but I asked my son if he wanted me to modify it and he said no. The only real issue I notice with the grip is the bottom of my right hand as it rubs the palm rest. A little sanding would take care of it.

    What others should know:

Make sure to close the bolt is down fully and locked. My son had his finger on the trigger during the process and blew off the bolt seals in the process. It was not hard to fix, but consider this a word of caution. I had told him many times - do not put you finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot .... He learned his lesson.

    Things I liked:

This AP is easy to use, very accurate, and has both an excellent trigger and nice, large adjustable sights. The grips were readily adaptable to my hand - 20 minutes w/a Dremel and sandpaper resulted in an excellent fit.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like to see more a more complete users manual that detailed the trigger adjustment procedure.

    What others should know:

One of the pistols purchased had a leakage problem. Pyramyd Air supplied a UPS pickup label for that unit's return and are sending a replacement pistol. No hassle, no problems...just as advertised.

So far there is nothing I don't like about this pistol. It is easy to use and very accurate. Its build quality is top notch as well.

    Things I would have changed:

Not a thing so far. It does all I ask of it and does it very well indeed.

It's a beautiful thing. Easy to cock. Everything precise about it. Like a laser beam.

    Things I would have changed:

The hammer does come back and tag the rear sight if you cock too hard. Needs a bit more clearance or a rubber pad to stop.

    What others should know:

With about 380 pellets thru it - I just love shooting it. Very addictive, and my pistol shooting has improved immeasurably.

    Things I liked:

The accuracy is absolute untouchable by any other gun in this price range . I expected a lot going by the write-ups from the other shooters . l was not disappointed . This is a great gun . Huge value for the money. Even with price having gone up recently .

    Things I would have changed:

I should have bought this Air Pistol 20 years ago ! The instruction booklet should explain the trigger adjustments in more detail. It is not a problem if you have adjusted triggers before , but for the uninitiated - that could be a problem.

    What others should know:

Buy extra bolt seals when you buy this gun because if you do not fully close the bolt -which you will forget to do (!) - the bolt seals will fly from your garage to another galaxy never to be found again .

    Things I liked:

I'M an accuracy nut to say the least And this pistol fills the bill 100%. I truely like everything about it. The accuracy is outstanding. The fit and finish are great for a gun of this price. I even like the oversize grips that I can conform to My hand fit. It is a outstanding value for the price. I think so much of it that I ordered its big Brother the IZH MP532 match rifle. Shame on You Pyramyd Air for not carrying it also. The 46M even comes with a goody bag of extra stuff Cleaning rod, Extra rear and front sights inserts., Extra seals. And A punch. If Your looking for a ten Meter affordable match grade target pistol. I would recemend this one for a great place to start. AWESOME

    Things I would have changed:

I can't really thing of a thing for a Pistol of this price. If You can afford it at all get this one. I have tryed a coulpla of the cheaper so called target pistols and they dont compare to this ones accuracy.

    What others should know:

I don't think I will ever be able to outshoot this guns capeabilitys. If it should break tomorrow I would just buy another one. Considering the price........

    Things I liked:

I never knew how much fun shooting an air pistol could be. This gun is extremely accurate, very well made, easy to cock and load and the trigger is wonderful. Noise level is also very low which makes this gun great for indoor shooting. I have yet to try match grade pellets but so far have had good results with Crosman competition wadcutters. Expect to spend A LOT of time with this air pistol. You will not regret the money spent. It's that good.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. A choice of different curtom grips would be nice.

    What others should know:

View the video on this gun and pay close attention to the part about the trigger and the lack of a safety. The gun gun will not shoot until the breach is fully closed. Thie is what I use for my safety. This gun has a true HAIR TRIGGER. Just be careful.

    Things I liked:

Though I waited for just over six months, my IZH 46M is here. This air pistol, has won many an international competition, and now it’s in my hands to shoot in my basement and back garden. I wanted a top of the line pistol that didn’t break my pocket book, and every thing that I read, kept coming back to the IZH 46M or Izzy. This SSP (Single-Stroke Pneumatic) does about 475 fps to 500 fps, depending on pellet weight. And cocking the Izzy (IZH) is effortless. Wow, it’s quiet, my neighbours won’t be able to hear me when I’m shooting, unlike when I’m using my Diana RWS 350 Magnum. The front sight blade is a breeze to swap out, and the adjustable rear sight flips around with an easy undoing of a couple of screws. (Be careful, they’re left handed threads, and turn the opposite way than you normally would turn).

    Things I would have changed:

First impressions: 1) I didn't like that It comes with a “read owners manual before use” stenciled on the side of my Russian pistol’s barrel. (That's Tacky) 2) The manual is NOT giving me the info I need. It has more WARNING pages, than helpful and useful information pages. I tried reading the manual…I really did. So, after that failed, (lack of real helpful info) I decided to take the gun out back to shoot, and figure out what the adjustments were by my self. Here is an "example" from the manual on “sights”; Sights: The sights on your air pistol are designed for accuracy. The front sight is all metal and the rear sight is all metal with adjustments for windage and elevation. See Figures 9a and 9b. THIS DOESN'T TELL ME ANYTHING I DIDN"T ALREADY KNOW!!!

    What others should know:

Here is what I have found out. Down, is clockwise. (Knob top right.) Left, is clockwise. (Knob on left of rear sight). Trigger: The Izzy has a fully adjustable two-stage trigger, which gives you 5 different ways of finessing. 1= Reserve trigger creep – turn clockwise to decrease travel, for after the shot slack. 2= Final creep (second stage length) – turn clockwise to decrease. 3= Trigger weight – turn clockwise to increase trigger pull. 4= trigger shoe adjustment – on trigger blade. And 5= First stage length – turn clockwise to decrease first stage travel. This trigger can be adjusted so light, you’ll wonder who just shot out your basement window. The geometry of this pistol is such that it forces your hand/wrist into a “locked” position. This is very different to shooting a “non” 10mm match pistol, but very common to match pistols. I’m a little tired of reading comments people write such as; “The grips are to big. They should make them like a regular hand pistol grip…Rubber grips would be nice”…The grips are the size they are so that YOU can customize THEM to fit YOUR hand! I thought this comment by someone known as Tex Force said it rather well: “Re-contouring grips is a rite of passage among 10-meter pistol shooters. The gun is not yours until it has rasp marks and wood putty.”...Well put Tex. The bottom line is, that no matter how good I get, this gun will be there to let me know that after every shot...I’ll never be as good as what this gun can offer. Cheers, Mark E

    Things I liked:

I own two IZH-46M's: I purchased a second one after I have owned the first one for over a year and can recommend it without any reservations whatsoever. It is very accurate with a hair trigger that can be adjusted to one's discretion and a forged steel barrel that matches a thousand dollar match pistol. It has performed well for over a year without a hitch, and I fired it every chance I could. It's my favorite pistol in my arsenal, and above everything else, it is affordable in price and operation. All that is needed are the pistol, the pellets, and an easy cocking effort to have fun all day long and to challenge your accuracy at ten meters. If one shoots and misses, it is not the pistol's fault; it is the one who pulls the trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

The manual is a Russian translation and is not very explicit or detailed in explanation, especially in replacing the seal for the compression chamber with which I will have to contend shortly and will probably have to seek expert advice. So after a year, that maintenance will crop up. The breech seals are easy enough, but I do not like to take a complicated air pistol apart if I do not know what I am doing,

    What others should know:

The grip is oversized and will need to be whittled down to fit a small or medium hand. On advice from Paul Capello in his video on this page, I have ordered custom grips from Steve Corcoran at woodsandwater.com. since I am not an artisan. Only the shooter errs with this pistol, and a better grip will improve my accuracy. So the grip may be a problem for some shooters who want to be as accurate as I do. For me accuracy is everything, and the IZH-46M delivers on that score!
