SIG Sauer 1911 Spartan Reviews

I bought the pistol for my son-in-law for Christmas. He loves it and has shot it. He told me it works splendidly, and is accurate. When I held it I was surprised at its weight which is similar to my.40 Glock.

Currently, I see nothing to change. I will wait to find out if the Punisher picture on the grips last a long time.

Trigger, weight, precision assembly and features, accuracy, laser mount, quiet shooter. The pistol price is worth much more compared to others. Boxed, not plastic package. Made in Japan.

Most other 1911s are not even close to this one. Change them but leave this one alone. It's perfect.

I've owned 60-70 air pistols. This one is number one on the list. The Diana Airbug and Chaser are very close but are target pistols, not 1911s. Everything about the Spartan is top notch. I could not be happier with my decision to buy this one. The ratings some other shooters have given it don't make sense to me. This gun is made in Japan, not China or some other country we see printed on our guns. Japan has been making the best stuff for years. This is a fine example of it. Trigger is firm and exceptional. Very crisp and consistent. CO2 loading is very unique and precise. Light magazines are inexpensive. Blowback is quiet and impressive when shooting. The color is unique, the weight is perfect, the balance is wonderful in my hand. I can't be more impressed.

i got this gun to replace the first on I bought that developed a leak of the co2 cylinder, the second one seems to be working a bit better than the first one, hopefully this will not develop the same leak as the first one.

Works great and feels and handles like an actual Spartan .45.

One fine piece of art. It's perfect from every angle. Shoots fine and got a perfect weight. Love the action and all the movement. Like shooting the real thing. A good way to practice without the expense.

I wanted this gun but couldn’t find it anywhere. So I decided to buy this because I loved the look of it and it has not let me down. It looks and feels like the authentic gun!

My new favorite gun is a BB gun, a full size 1911 made in Japan and is cheap to shoot, great for training and teaching younger shooters gun safety and how to shoot. Myself and my granddaughter are have a lot of fun shooting the Sig Spartan 1911 BB gun.

I really like the gun except in two locations were there are scratches or I should say missing paint.

Heavy. realistic feeling 1911. Nice blowback, locks open on empty. Pretty accurate for a BB gun.

Get rid of the stupid EXTRA safety release button. Why would you change a perfectly functional, and simple design, used on the real Sig to something more complicated on a BB gun? And then fail to even mention it in the manual, leaving you to figure out why the safety won't release.

Realistic weight and feel of a true 1911. Great fit and finish with a decent trigger. Love the ability to add flashlight or lazer to the gun for varmint assaults at night.

None noted as of yet, but still getting the feel of the gun.

If you order on of these weapons, be sure to order several (or more) mags. While not that hard, it is time consuming so less time on the range is loading and more time in shooting. Not the most powerful, around 420 fps and fairly accurate, it is a great can shooter for the back yard.

I wanted this the moment I saw it, I ended up getting it as a Christmas present in 2021. It worked great for a while until I loaded a new CO2 cartridge into it and it started shooting gas straight out of the barrel. It causes the slide to become ice cold so I think it’s a valve leak. I don’t know how to fix this.

Looks and feels great. Not too crazy about the safety switch. Other than that all good.

This is an excellent gun. It is five stars for realism, it is all you can expect for a reasonably priced airgun. If you want 110%, however, get the We the People 1911. It is so much better. The Spartan is 5 stars but the We the People knocks it out of the park, for an extra 10 dollars (I think) it is worth it

Gun worked great until I stopped using it for a couple months. Not sure if the o rings failed or the springs got sprung but essentially the co2 blows thru the striker pin assembly which delivers the air to the bb. I've totally disassembled an put back together just to get two good trigger pulls then back to the original issue. What I found was the striker pin is getting stuck halfway thru the cycle thus emptying the co2 cartridge. I have a p226 legion and enjoyed practicing quick acquisition but now it's a paperweight. Not mad just disappointed.
