    Things I liked:

Great shooter!! Accurate for a BB air pistol! From 30' it was fun and easy to load and use both BB's and pellets. A blued finish that looks great.

    Things I would have changed:

Shorter barrel and a rifiled barrel for pellets.

    What others should know:

It is heavy but I was expecting a full sized 8" barreled Smith & Wesson M-29 replica and I got a great one. When people see it they ask " is that real?"

    Things I liked:

Very good replica. Solid build. Adjustable sights - plenty accurate for a bb air revolver (1" patterns from 6-7 yards attainable from rest). Slightly more accurate using pellets loaded in the bb shells. Enjoyable to shoot, "scratches the itch" to shoot and FAR less expensive than going to the range with the Real McCoy.

    Things I would have changed:

Not a big deal but tighter fit of shells in the cylinder (shells are loose in the cylinder and fall out if cylinder is open(ed) and gun not kept pointed downward).

    What others should know:

I've been very satisfied with Pyramyd Air over the years.

    Things I liked:

accuracy much better than I expected. CO2 cartridge on target for about 80 shots. Excellent finish on revolver. Looks REAL. great adjustable sights.

    Things I would have changed:

Omit nickel plating on trigger and hammer--black finish would be better. screw head on grips needs to be blackened to be more realistic. these are the only small complaints I have.

    What others should know:

first two or three shots will go a little high on a new cartridge, after that, right on target. make sure bb's are fully seated in cartridge. I collect my bb's in a homemade trap as they are reusable. will shoot under l/2 inch, 6-shot group when using a rest at 21 feet--amazing for a bb gun. while you are using a small-tip black magic marker to blacken the screw on the grips, also blacken the top of the red insert on the front sight--this makes it more usable. If you buy this revolver, you will love it--I recommend for realistic practice. I have been shooting N frame S&W's for a long time. This gun is great for practice in the basement. It is fun to shoot.

    Things I liked:

    Long sight radius

    Things I would have changed:

Make it pellet with a rifled barrel. The ejector rod, hammer and trigger are bright chrome. make them with a blued finish more like the original 44mag model.

    What others should know:

Get some extra "cartridges" so you can load BB's ahead of a shooting session. that way you can shoot and handle more like a real gun.

    Things I liked:

One Fantastic Pistol! When I opened the box the finish on this thing just blew my mind. I dont know what a real S&W looks or feels like but this one is just wonderful in your hand. One fine piece of equipment it is. Even the cartridges for the BB's feel real. Its a beautiful, realistic weapon.

    Things I would have changed:

The handles aren't the best... Really the only part of the gun that feels cheap and fake.

    What others should know:

Pretty darn accurate with the darts too...

    Things I liked:

I opened the box and I was floored by how true it is to the actual 29 in every respect: weight, look, feel and balance with even a hint of Cosmoline. To the latter I don't jest. Obviously Umarex wants to be certain the revolver is protected from the time it's manufactured to when you open the box.

    Things I would have changed:

Umerex should make a four and six-inch version of this revolver as well. The eight-inch barrel makes it muzzle heavy requiring that I shoot it resting in a crooked elbow to prevent or at least minimize any barrel wiggle. As to the grips I agree with another reviewer that they are rather cheap in appearance. Aftermarket wood grips would be worth the money.

    What others should know:

I recommend frangible BBs given its velocity.

Beautiful pistol. Nice finish and quality. Shoots well. Nice replica.

    What others should know:

    Things I liked:

Box and overall look is cool.

    Things I would have changed:

This is definitely an air soft pistol that was converted - mixed. It's a lot of sizzle and not much steak- specifically it feels like like metal on top of cheap plastic. I was lucky enough too own and purchase a UMAREX SW revolver in Germany and Umarex's quality is dropping - fast.

    What others should know:

Glad to see price dropped. Pyramid Air is always excellent. Just my honest feedback on a air gun I was waiting to be "less flimsy."

    Things I liked:

Wow! This thing looks so darn real, that you have to make sure that your family, neighbours and friends don't call the police on you. They will think that it is an actual S&W M29, until closer inspection.

    Things I would have changed:

I would change the plastic grips for something more authentic, such as real wood! The plastic hand grip tends to move a little, making it feel that it might break.

    What others should know:

I would invest in a quality leather holster or a large revolver case (at least 14 inches in length) to house or carry this beast!

    Things I liked:

Almost everything. The M29 reminds me of a Smith & Wesson K22 Combat Masterpiece that I owned many years ago. It has a comfortable feel and the looks are classic. This replica is a work of art. I keep a micro-fiber cloth with the M29 in a soft case so that I can clean fingerprints off of the frame after use. The finish is superb and deserves care so be sure to wipe after target practice This replica should be in your collection.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull is very hard and I find it difficult to achieve accuracy due to the ability to fire it with a steady hold while I pull the trigger. My Wheeler Trigger Pull measures 9 points 12 oz on double action and 6 pounds 13 oz in single action, so the reviews are accurate. I'm sure this is comparable to my old K22, but I was much younger and was able to achieve accuracy against a hard trigger pull back then. I will definitely need to adjust the trigger pull weight before judging accuracy of the M29. I deliberately left no accuracy rating, since I can't evaluate that until I make adjustments to the trigger.

    What others should know:

My test results were pretty good using my Caldwell Crony. Using Umarex Hormandy Black Diamond Steel BBs I measured a Max Velocity of 412 fps and an average velocity of 401 fps with an SD of 6.05. Using the pellet cartridges from my Colt Peacemakers and H&N 5,71 gr, Trophy Green pellets, I measured a Max Velocity of 381 fps and an average of 375.83 fps with a SD of 5.61. Respectable performance, in my opinion. Be sure to use a quality BB like Black Diamond steel BBs if you are looking for good velocity. Garden variety BBs averaged 373.83 fps, almost 30 fps lower than quality brands. I think Dirty Harry would be proud of this 44 magnum replica. It is heavy but the heft is what you would expect from a quality replica. I love it.

    Things I liked:

First off - I LOVE the electroplate finish on this replica. Secondly it has a wonderful trigger - not too light nor too stiff. I found it to be accurate enough at 21 ft. Better than most, with the possible exception of my Crossman DMPS SBR. I like the integration of the gas screw tool into the grip, which has a very positive engagement when put back in place. Economical use of Co2. I purchased some Colt SSA nickel shells so I could try some pellets through the smooth bore of the M29. I discovered that the brass shells that come with this gun will also accommodate pellets, and indeed, using pellets with the brass shells produced better accuracy, for some reason. Could have just been the shooter. Shot copper, Dust Devils, steel and lead (pellets), with no apparent difference, except for the Dust Devils, which while they are supposed to shoot faster, actually seemed weaker and slower. Single action is more fun, but the double action is still pretty smooth. Good, positive cylinder lockup.

    Things I would have changed:

Pretty much nothing - except, if there was a way to tighten the crane so it didn't move every time the trigger pulled the cylinder into lockup? Doesn't seem to affect accuracy, so probably a non-issue.

    What others should know:

If, like me, you are used to shooting semi automatics with higher capacity magazines, shooting a six-shooter will seem like your fun is constantly being interrupted by reloading. Having a couple of sets of shells loaded and ready to go helps. the SSA shells aren't very expensive (under $7 at this writing) and I plan on buying a couple more packages. Be advised that speed loaders won't work on this gun, as the shells are slightly smaller than .44 Magnums. Fun gun!

    Things I liked:

This revolver is such a good copy of a S&W Model 29 that it's unbelievable. Only upon close examination can you tell that it's an airgun and not a firearm. It shoots great: good sights, good trigger, very good accuracy at 33 meters. Although it's sold as a BB gun and the barrel is not rifled I found that it shot well with 7.9 gr. Crosman lead wadcutter pellets. It also shoots just fine with copper plated steel BBs.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer the option of a rifled barrel to improve accuracy with lead pellets.

    What others should know:

Be careful about carrying or displaying this gun in public. It looks so much like a real .44 Magnum Model 29 that almost anyone might think it is a real firearm. The grip is quite large so the pistol is really not suited for children, but I wouldn't let a child use it without close adult supervision.

    Things I liked:

The finish is absolutely beautiful but extremely susceptible to finger prints and oils in the skin from handling, so keeping a good silicone rag on hand is highly recommended.

    Things I would have changed:

Honestly, the ONE AND ONLY let down for me personally was the grips- the wood grain simulation is excellent but they are a bit cheap feeling in comparison to everything else on the gun, and the fake screw in the grips is the same wood-look as the grips themselves which makes it look like a toy. I very carefully colored mine black with a fine point black sharpie permanent marker and it made all the difference in the world!

    What others should know:

As the owner of an early 1980s powder burning 8 3/8 barrel nickel plated pinned and recessed model 29, I can honestly attest to the accuracy of this reproduction. I only shoot pellets through its smooth bite barrel and am very pleased with its accuracy out 10-12 yards. Easily 1 inch groups but only about 35-40 good hard hitting shots per CO2

    Things I liked:

Excellent replica features of a real S&W 29 Classic. Visually and dimensionally it's really close, and the metal finish looks a lot like real bluing. It is nicely accurate for a long barrelled bb pistol even though the cylinder is wobbly due to the very loose yolk/crane cylinder lock up. I only purchased this for the replica nostalgia of the S&W 29 and it's a real looker of a bb pistol!

    Things I would have changed:

1.) Looseness/locking of the yolk/crane cylinder assembly. There is a functional spring loaded bolt lock (ejector rod catch) in the ejector rod cavity of the barrel under lug that is not being used?? That would fix this issue as it would aide locking closed by securing the end/tip of the ejector rod, just like in the real deal?? I have changed/modded mine to catch/detent the rod a bit, so it locks up a little better now. But yeah, that's a terribly sloppy fit and function that needs to be addressed. 2.) The grips look nice but they are lacking in thickness/robustness as in the ASG DW 715. and feel extremely light and hollow compared to the heft of the metal pistol. Lastly the molded in fake screw head is brown plastic grip color? Seems cheap and cheesy for such an otherwise well detailed replica pistol.

    What others should know:

It's a better overall value of a very cool replica revolver than as a bargain performance bb air pistol. Collectors will have to have it, but shooters eh, not as much.. Ymmv!

    Things I liked:

This is a very impressive BB gun overall. It looks just awesome when you open the box; beautiful finish, nice sights, and generally solid construction. Not as heavy as the real item, but it still has some solid heft. I like that the CO2 wrench is built into the grips. Very tight lock-up once cocked. Crisp single-action trigger pull. Accuracy is certainly not match grade, but definitely "fun grade". Roughy 1" at 10 yards. Very easy to load. I haven't tried speed loaders yet with the cartridges, but it's nice to just open the cylinder, pop a BB into the back of each cartridge, and you're back in action. Lots of shots per CO2 cylinder; reviewers on-line indicated they were getting 80 shots; I got at least that many.

    Things I would have changed:

Like most here, I would prefer a rifled barrel. But it's hard to beat the price off BB's for fun shooting. The most disconcerting thing I found was the sloppy feel of the cylinder/crane when not cocked; there's movement in the crane and you can easily rotate the cylinder. Once cocked, however (and at the point of firing), the cylinder locks up very tightly. Single action trigger pull is nice and crisp, but heavier than typical S&W. Double action pull is lighter than the real thing, but feels kind of "toy gun" like; long and with a lot of stacking. I would have liked some additional sight adjustment as well.

    What others should know:

Overall a very fun and impressive BB revolver. And Pyramid Air did a great job shipping it to me quickly and in good shape. Great price, and I'm having a blast with it!
