Looks like a toy and feels like toy straight out o the box but when you start shooting the story changes. Quite powerful for its price and very accurate inspite of its hard trigger pull. Very easy to pump and fairly quiet operation. At 10yds shooting grups of 5 pellets I got 1 inch groups with open sight and 1/2 inch with the scope. At 20 yds got 1 inch groups. As expected, accuracy with BBs is much worse, 2 & 3 inch groups at 10 yds with scope. Plinking with soda size cans at 35 yds was great deal of fun. Very consistenty hit dime sized targets at 10 yds. Same performance wth flat nosed (wadcutter), round nosed, pointed and hollow point pellets. With the scope,it is a great starter pellet pellet rifle package. Variable power makes it great for small or long range shooting. Next month I take it plinking at 50 yds.
Things I would have changed:The trigger pull is a little hard and the bolt lever mechanism is a litle rough. Not a del breaker, the user can get used to both after a while.
What others should know:I use it for backyard daily practice ~1000 shots /month and am very satisfied. My kid loves its performance and ease of use.

Familiarity with design, as it is a dressed up Daisy 880. Comfortable stock even for us with long arms. Accuracy is good for this grade of BB/Pellet rifle.
Things I would have changed:Alloy receiver - for this price polymer cheapens it. At twice the cost of the Daisy 880, and billed as an 'improvement', it should show more than just a swoopy new TH stock. Also real sights, not the silly fire sights. They are not conducive to accuracy.
What others should know:I haven't put many shots through it yet, so reliability and whether it has any preferences in different pellets is an unknown. I do like the look and feel of it, as an entry-level air rifle. But I feel half the price is for the "Winchester" name.

very accurate.at 40 feet after x number of shots there is still only one hole in the target even with a hard triger pull. pump for target shooting or varmits.have used only pellets so far.light and super easy to pump
Things I would have changed:triger pull . if this gun was made in metal and wood and was more money i would buy another right now for twice the price. this gun is mostly plastic.
What others should know:dont let the plastic put you off.
i do not know if they are all like this one or i received the perfect one of a lot but this thing is crazy accurate!!

Ambidextrous thumbhole stock , easy to pump , lightweight , seems durable , comes with 4x32 scope much more useable than the scope that comes with the daisy 880 ' s. I have 3 daisy 880' s from the 80's they still work , one will need new seals soon. Can still get parts for these so thats a good thing.
Things I would have changed:This rifle is 95% plastic for forty dollars more than a regular 880 doesn't seem worth it. Very hard to load pellets with the scope mounted, takes practice. They should offer a 5-shot clip like some of the older versions. This is suppose to be 880 (IMPROVED VERSION?) kinda of disappointing. The trigger is very stiff , hard to pull , but you can't expect a world class trigger from this price point , it should loosen up some after break in.Maybe alloy or metal receiver and pump handle, i would pay extra for that. Also the bolt cocking handle should be larger.
What others should know:The plastic stock and pump handle has flashings that stick up from the molds so i took a dremel tool and smoothed them out. The receiver says Winchester Air Rifles but it is a daisy 880 made by daisy. This is a good first air gun for anyone who is looking for one.Light easy to pump, durable. I sighted mine in only took 5 rounds with pellets- crosman premier 10.5 grain- respectable power.
