The advantages of these slugs are clear: less deflection from wind, better retaining of speed, superb expansion on contact, while still offering superior penetration of bone and skull. All while allowing on-the-fly switching between pellets and slugs. A real game changer for long shots and large targets.
Things I would have changed:Ive only found two negative issues: cost (self explanatory), and jamming. Perhaps with an extra high power gun like the FX Impact, its possible to clear accidental double loads, but with the Dreamline it is not. Double loading is all to easy with a PCP, and pulling the trigger once the second slug is loaded turns it from a day stopping error to a massive barrel jam requiring special boring tools to clear.
What others should know:If the price of these comes down, I would consider using them for nearly everything, but the ease of switching from a pellet magazine to a slug mag makes that less of a problem. The jamming issue, on the other hand, is not trivial.

Design of the slug. Really nice, competition-style box
Things I would have changed:Better cleaning of the slugs. Had a bit of lead flash scattered throughout the box. Lighter version would be nice, maybe something in a 18~20 grain? My steel-sprung Hatsan 125 does fire these ok, but the weight makes it harsh. 23 grain anything and the trigger bruises my finger. I think 22 grain has some piston rebound issues. Yeah, I know, never meant for a springer...
What others should know:Box slides open to dump 10 slugs at a time. Save the box! Makes a great way to carry your sorted pellets or slugs. Gauntlet has a really tight barrel, these wont fit, don't try it unless you don't mind hammering slugs backwards out of your breech like me

This looks like it needs a powerful PCP for it to be useful. I tried one of these Slugs in a break barrel. The fit was so tight I couldn't it seat with my thumb and had to use a tool to seat it.
What others should know:I watched a Youtube video that used a Labradar to measure the velocity at 20 Yard intervals out to 100 Yards. This was interesting so, I plugged this data into a spread sheet. The velocity percent loss per 20 Yard interval went from 4.21% for 0-20 yards to 4.45% for the 80-100 Yards. Next I calculated the %Increase in the %loss per range interval. This gave a constant %loss increase of 0.06% per range interval. This is interesting because it represents a decreasing apparent Ballistic Coefficient with range. This likely is due to the Slugs spin axis increasingly departing from its resulting velocity vector. Since the Loss% was increasing I decided to extend the calculations out to 400 Yards. I expect these are fairly close out to 150-200 yards. The 200 Yard energy is 16.7 FPE.The 400 Yard energy is also interesting having a residual of 347 FPE for 5.88 FPE, enough to cause a serious injury. Anyway I'll include a snap of the data for your inspection.

I just received a shipment of FX hybrid slugs in 22 caliber. The first magazine of seven rounds fired from my Diana Stormrider at 20 yards measured .23 inches center to center. These are by far the most accurate Pellets I have found yet for this particular Rifle.

Accuracy increased, bucks the wind much better than pellets
Things I would have changed:Seems just a little expensive if you were to compare it to 22lr bullets. Wish they would make these in a 18 grain version!
What others should know:Nice oroduct over all, the expansion is unbeatable!

I have an FX Impact in 25 cal but cant get in 25 yet. So I ordered these in 22 to try them in my break barrels. I have a Hatsan 125 Sniper which they shot great at 16m range groups. I also tried them in my Gamo Swarm Magnum with pretty terrible groups at the same range, actually you couldnt call these groups. They were all over the place, Im sure barrels played a lot in this. Otherwise really well made slugs with great expansion.
Things I would have changed:Get the larger calibers out sooner;-)

Pkging, cleanliness of the slugs, and the overall exspasion capabilities! These slugs are accurate and can cause explosive damage out of the right gun! I'm currently shooting them out of a Hatsan Nuetronstar. Stock setting out 890fps. Very accurate so far out to 80yds (need to go somewhere besides my backyard to shoot past 80yds). Warning: you Need to have adequate back stops! Not backyard safe unless you do! I might try to up the fps in tiny bit more (I've heard/read that these slugs like the range of the upper 800s to low to mid 900s. I did try shooting them out of a AA S510 (max stock setting) and they grouped ok, but didn't open up (only going approx 730fps). The nose only opened up approx the same size of the caliber (.22). Vs. Out of the Nuetronstar they opened up to approx .400" even out at 80yds.
Things I would have changed:Wish they were just a little bit cheaper. That's it! Suggestion - maybe make one slightly ever so slightly diameter smaller as a secondary option? Then those who's gun barrels that are tighter might be able to use these as well/get a little more fps coming out.
What others should know:Worth a try, never know if they'll work out of your guns. Be safe! These require a safe target zone/good backstop.

They shoot really flat. Definitely not like a pellet. Shot these from a airforce talon and a Benjamin armada. The Benjamin seemed to like them more. Tight pattern at 50 yards. Loads great and can still use the magazine. These have some real potential.
Things I would have changed:The package size is small. Needs to be bigger and the price is high. Buy the time you tune your gun for the new ammo your left with a half a box.
What others should know:It was a great slug for me. Some guns are way more picky than others on ammo but for the price I dont think it is worth it. I was trying to keep up with some guys shooting .25 cal guns and I believe this slug would do it. But at that price and they seem to always be sold out.

The container is awesome and will have more uses later than holding FX Slugs. The SK -19 shoots these slugs laser beam flat compared to pellets and seems to like them in the 950 range.
Things I would have changed:Price, always price. Airgunning is supposed to be cheap shooting but in reality it is not. Cheaper to shoot a 22 LR than these slugs. Price should be under 10$ after all you only get 100 not 200. Next time I will get H and N slugs instead. JBH.
What others should know:Great groups on paper Flatter trajectory than pellets more down range energy. Expensive for all they are. Awesome package for other ammo later. Not for use in a populated areas. Not backyard friendly stick with pellets for that. Longer ranges is where these will shine the most. These will retain too much energy at distance unlike pellets that dump their energy quickly. Basically these turn your airgun into a subsonic 22 LR. Use caution when using. More thought needs to be put into your shot and what is beyond your target to avoid injury or death to others. More geared toward experienced shooters than newbies.

Appear very well made. None of them were damaged as I have seen with other brands of ammo. This is due to the packaging.
Things I would have changed:I would like to see the packaging no made of plastic. I would think a more environmentally friendly alternative is available. We need more real world data from Pyramid Air on how these perform in guns such as the Marauder and Gauntlet; the guns most of us buy. Price needs to drop a bit.
What others should know:I had high hopes for thes in my stock Marauder. I shoot a lot ofnrabbita and was wanting some improved ballistics for longer shots. I am new to serious airgunning. Only been at this a couple of years now. These shot slug on slug at 25 yards. At 40 it was a different ball game. Maybe I didnt do my full research. Seems my barrel doesnt like these at all. So I have 2 and a half boxes that I will hang onto. Back to my cheap old CPHP that are good to 75 yards in my gun.

The concept of the slug. It should be a winner for hunting. They appear, at least visually, to be uniform. The packaging.
Things I would have changed:For the cost, I did not expect to have to clean each slug due to excessive shavings. The shavings in the packaging tray and particularly on the slug bases are not what I would consider acceptable. Washing did not remove them. I individually wiped the base of each slug on a paper towel, a tedious process. The packaging is excellent. The cost is high, yet I still purchased 500. Hopefully the manufacturer can improve the cleanliness and drop the price to a less boutique level.
What others should know:I have not shot these yet, this review is based solely on my first impressions upon visually inspecting the 500 that I purchased. I almost hope that they do not perform in either my Condor or RAW HM 1000x. I am being facetious concerning the performance, although I dread the thought of having to manually clean each slug (500 was enough) if they are a home run. I realize that these are mass produced on high speed equipment, but I have to believe that there Is a process change that would improve/alleviate this issue.

These are accurate in my kral puncher knight and in my sons kral puncher breaker. They do have a higher bc than pellets and seem to shoot flatter at distance. We shoot hades up close on 3/4 power and turn it up to full for the hybrids without having to change the point of aim much.
Things I would have changed:Cleaner pellets. Be prepared to clean up a lot of lead shavings and dust when you dump a row out of the packaging. My main use for these is hunting, obviously. My limited experience shooting a starling at 15 yds and a eurasian collared dove at about 30 yds is this: it killed them both, instantly. ( how do you argue with dead pests?) However, the exit holes indicated little to no expansion of the slug, which is supposed to be a big selling point. I would like a slug that does what it purports to do: shoot flatter, hit harder, and expand. Thats why we pay more-for hunting there is supposed to be a distinct advantage over pellets. The expansion is missing.
What others should know:I made some ballistic gel (not calibrated according to FBI standards, but close enough) and shot both guns into it using these slugs. Penetration was 6.5 and 7.5 inches, respectively. The disappointing aspect was they did not expand beyond .22 caliber. They penciled through. If I want that I will use H&N sniper magnums! I have shot lots of different pellets into gel. The hollowpoint ones generally expand, some very well, even at 750 fps. We doctored 3 slugs using the tip of a small phillips screwdriver and shot them. They penetrated 3.5, 4.5, and 3.5 inches and expanded to twice the diameter and left a decent permanent wound channel, which is what I truly want on pests. I do not know how much that alteration of the hollowpoint affects the accuracy because I havent shot for groups with the altered ones yet. I believe they would still be quite accurate and much more devastating on small game. I hope to report the use of the altered slugs on game soon.
