With the introduction of its line of .457-cal Texan PCP air rifles that use 475cc carbon-fiber air bottles, AirForce Airguns has lightened up each of the rifles in the Texan line by about 20 percent. These tanks also feature AirForce's upgraded TX2 valve which, according to the manufacturer "increases efficiency and power to the next level," giving this new breed of Texan unprecedented power. While the standard, aluminum bottles' maximum fill pressure tops out at 200 BAR (roughly 2900 psi,) the CF bottles' 250-BAR (3626 psi) max fill pressure produce muzzle energies over 700 fpe in the Texan and Texan LSS and up to 600 fpe in the Texan Carbine and SS models.
So, if you are the owner of a Texan that sports an aluminum bottle, all you need is this carbon-fiber version with its Spin-Loc attachment technology to upgrade your gun and increase its power* while losing a little weight. Light but shorter than the stock aluminum tank. Could be a pro or could be a con. I like it but...
Things I would have changed:The shorter tank makes the gun unbalanced. Very front heavy now so my bipods and my forearm gets a good workout lol. Other than that it's fine.

What others should know:I received my bottle from pyramydair and tried to fill it. It would not fill. I then called pyramydair who told me to call texan air gun. I called texan air guns to find out it had faulty valve. They gladly sent valve free of charge including shipping free. thank you texan air gun. It gave 1 star because Pyramydair sent a faulty bottle so be carful where you get your equipment from. If you can go straight to the source for accessories of this type.

Do I need a upgraded hammer and hammer spring to install on a regular texan
gauge is completely off. any recommendations for a micro gauge replacement? Also what size threads and bspp or npt?
