The Athlon Optics Heras SPR 6-24x56 Rifle Scope with APRS9 FFP MIL reticle is designed to provide added performance for long-range shooting. It uses a 30mm one piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube for durability, and a high-precision erector system for repeatable adjustments.
The scope uses advanced fully-multicoated lenses for a sharp sight picture even in poor weather, and it has enhanced light transmission and more vivid colors compared to lesser scopes. It is shockproof and waterproof for reliability, and argon purged for fogproofing that yields better results than scopes that use inferior purging substances.
The Athlon Optics Heras SPR 6-24x56 has a locking windage turret to mitigate the chances of accidental adjustment, as well as a precision zero stop on the elevation turret to allow shooters to maintain focus on their target while returning to their zero. Both turrets have a 0.1 MIL click value, with 10 MIL per rotation, and a 20 MIL adjustment range.
The APRS9 FFP (first focal plane) MIL reticle has variable brightness illumination on the center part and uses etched glass for added performance. It has a fine center dot and hash marks every .2 MIL, with large marks every MIL and larger marks every 2 MIL out to 8 MIL to the sides, 10 MIL to the bottom, and 6 MIL to the top, with Christmas tree-style holdover dots on the bottom portion.
