Flocked feathers, realistic legs and a stunning iridescent paint scheme further authenticate reality down to every last feather. The strutting wing pieces and fan also remove easily for real, feathered substitutions. I don't use a strutting tom decoy often, but when I do the Avian-X HDR Strutter is my go-to! The realism in these decoys is truly amazing. Personally, I use the fan that is included with the decoy and it has worked great for me, but I love having the ability to use my own real fan if I wanted to. Like all HDR decoys, this thing is built to last and looks great! I highly recommend this decoy if you're hunting aggressive birds or that old boss Tom who is looking for a fight.

Good idea poor design. Head rails are very brittle and easily broken. Rail on body is not a service part once it’s broken you are on your own. . Manual references the tight tolerances, no Avian video demonstrates fully removing and reattaching heads. Meaning it easily/ normally brakes. Beard can easily slip into body with no way to reassemble, not actually adjustable for length, just slides around. Fan is brittle feeling and feather edges are razor blades. Wings are a pain to install and easily fall out. Fun for morning set ups in the dark. Overall looks great from a distance but terrible to set up and use. Love Avian products, would never buy this one again.
