I like the way it looks, feels, and most important, the way it shoots. It likes the Benjamin Discover 14.3 gr. hp pellets. Under half inch groups all day from 25 yards. THUMPS rabbits and squirrels.

the two screws on each side in forearm work loose. I'd use loc-tite, but I'm afraid to take them out. I'm afraid something will fall out.

I've had this gun over a year now, and it's been a lot of fun. It performs well and cheap to shoot. I'm starting to
get the airgun bug, and am buying bigger calibers. I'm 60 and feel like a kid again. Airguns are so much fun.
They've came a long way in 50 years.

This review is just for the CENTER-POINT 4X32 SCOPE that comes with this rifle combo. My star ratings are for my rifle and scope combined. As for things I like about this scope--NOT MUCH

Change out the scope completely for a better one or drop it from the combo. It is a shame to have such a nice rifle with such a poor scope.

My scope was so far off when I mounted it to my rifle that it took days to get it centered. I have a gun safe full of rifles and pistols and have been shooting for 55 years. I have a little experience. After I finally got this scope usable with decent groups (one inch at 15yds) I was pleased. 100 shots later I'm hitting 3 inches to the left. 90 clicks to bring it back in! We'll see what happens after the next 100 shots but I am thinking better scope soon.

The look feel and weight of the gun is nice. The action is solid, the cocking effort is reasonable and the sound is acceptable. Once one overcomes the issue with the cheap scope the accuracy is pretty good.

I would like to see a little bit better scope on it, or perhaps it is the rail the scope attaches to but the two don't mate up that well. The rail on the gun is tighter than the points on the scope rings. It works but it doesn't look like the two belong together. The instructions for mounting the scope are not good. It makes a difference how the rings are mounted and there is no guide. The rings should not be mounted without Loctite. the sighting of the scope was so far off I am near the limit of the range with the final adjustment. The QA on the scope should be better and it should be sighted to the gun in advance. Overall I would prefer to pay a few dollars more for a better scope.

The vibration from the release of the spring will easily and quickly shake the scope loose. A small tube of Loctite should be included with the gun and the instructions for mounting the scope should include the use of 242 blue Loctite. It is a waste of time to site the scope in without first using Loctite on the scope fasteners.

Quality of build & precision fitting, ergonomics of handling, weight & balance, amazingly quiet, good power, accuracy (.177) with the right scope (mine-Nikko Sterling 4-16X44LRX), overall classic style looks which are complimented by the bull barrel & shoulder pad and of course the nice price with additional discount here at PA!

Drab Stock wood 'color' and heavy layering of 'utility' factor gloss coat. While not exactly what I being a woodworker would use to finish of gun of this style, it has it's merits for anyone who may be rough on their guns. All in all, not much to change for the price as long as it does what's expected without the problems one reads about from other buyers.

Currently, I own a Benjamin Trail NP in .22 which is a very well made and beautiful gun. It hits what I shoot at and gives me great satisfaction of owning it. This new Regal model I believe is the same gun mechanically and I can sense that from having used both.
If you want a well made, solid and nice shooting Air Rifleat a nice price range (about $150), this type in NP is one I would highly recommend.

Everything from fit to finish and quality of build accuracy is best of any gas piston I have owned including one quality springer. Mine is the .177 cal. shoots Crosman preniers Domed 10.5 most my shooting is 25 yds outstanding accuracy..

Nary a thing

I have heard that they will no longer build this model. so I would get one while they are available..

I have since found even a more accurate pellet in my targetr shooting, H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme, .177 cal., 9.57 gr., 4.5 mm which I now exclusively use. This Regal has about 1200 shots thru it and it is deadly accurate and operating as it did new..very satisfied with it's quality..of build

This was my entry into pellet guns. I am a retired target shooter who started in the 1950's. I wanted a rifle with a wood stock and one that looks like a real traditional rifle. This has wood with a recoil pad with a white line spacer. It comes with a scope which works fine for me and the rifle looks nice sitting on my shelf. It also has the gas piston which makes shooting nice. This is a great starter rifle but it has the piston like more expensive models.

It comes with a nice wood stock with a glossy finish but in the future I may refinish the stock with an oil finish. The screws that hold the action in the stock are tightened on to wood. This means the wood will compress when I tighten the screws. It should have something between the screws and the wood. The trigger is good but the initial take up is long so there is a stretch of the trigger finger meaning it is too far from the pistol grip. It breaks at a good weight though. I think there is a way to take up the slack which I may do in the future.

At the start, the barrel was hard to break open and I had to put the butt on the floor against my foot to keep the butt from slipping when I cock the action. However, after about 20 shots it is becoming easier to cock and I can now do it with just my hands. As the action is worked more, I think it will smooth up even more.

Light Weight for break barrel of this power

The trigger although it is an easy fix with 3 mm longer screw and a little bench time

This is probably one of the best values in this type of rifle. I purchased 3 of these. Two in 22 one in 177. Both 22 cal guns chronigraphed out between 670 fps and 720 fps depending on pellet weight. The 177 produced an honest 920 to 970 fps depending again on pellet weight. With pellets it likes and adjusting trigger with longer screw it is very easy to get ragged hole groups at 25 yards. I like these rifles very much and they are perfect hunting rifles from a weight perspective. They also feel more comfortable and familiar to a firearm user than the goofy (in my humble opinion) thumb hole stock. I have bought dozens of guns from Pyramid. Great company. I have bought some very expensive ones but I use these guns quite a bit. At this price there is no fear in damaging them in the field. I have fitted uncle Mike sling mounts to all of them for ease of carry in the field. Great guns for the money.

This is a very nice gun for your buck the fit and feel is more like a real rifle and the accuracy is excellent.

The scope is junk! replace with something you like. The trigger is workable but not the greatest.

I have the .177 and have had it for a couple of years now and it is very reliable it shoots the CP hollow point and the Baracuda Hunter Extreme with precision. I have taken countless birds at many of ranges and some of them have been as far as 100yrds. This is a fun little gun to shoot and it can do the impossible with practice.

The look, feel and weight of this rifle. Also love the Nitro Piston in .22 cal, also have the .177 version of this rifle.

The trigger and the scope.

With the right scope and trigger upgrade, this can be a favorite go to gun.

I actually bought this gun in November, I really liked the nice stock, shape, feel, and weight.I liked the power of the .22 Nitro Piston, and the accuracy.

I would have changed the scope, it was very blurry, I changed it out for a Simmons 3-9 x 32 scope.I didn't like the sound of the rifle, it had a ping noise when I shot the rifle, but it is still pretty quiet.I don't like the trigger, the first stage was very short and the second stage is long.I think it is still usable, I got used to it.

It loved the Benjamin Hollow points, I don't remember the grouping but it hits where I put the cross-hairs on.It has plenty of power for pest control and hunting from a sparrow to a rabbit, raccoon, big rats. I use it mostly for English sparrows, rats, doves, starlings, squirrels, pigeons, gophers, and sometimes crows if they get with in 60 yrds or less.

I read your Q about the ping, is it loud or? That Simmons scope may not have the correct parallax adj for an airgun. Most are for firearms and set for 100yard, some 50yrds. You can adjust it a better distance for you btw, google will help...
